this is the funnest street bike i've ever had. i've had gsxr750, mt-07, and the wr250r. all great for diff reasons, but the mt-07 is by far the most enjoyable on road bike i've ever riden
You are really all in on the MT-07, glad to see you got a bike you are genuinely enjoying. Haven't seen this much joy since you got the YZ. The weather here in N.J. is still fairly good might have to rent an MT-07 and try it out for myself.
YZ supermoto is still #1 but this MT-07 is #2 most fun so far. It is one of the best bikes for city/urban riding. Of course it is nice to have the fast bikes too but that is why you get multiple bikes. I want to start collecting bikes again. I'll probably add a third bike of some sort.
@@Mr.FirebIadeDr.JiIIAIiceCooper I'm Just Trolling, because Cycle Cruza is working SOOO hard to convince us that he likes that bike, So i will work Equally hard to TROLL him , he don't need to convince us he needs to convince himself.
@@wholearmor1790 Why would I lie about it? I was honest and told you all I didn't like the MT-09 and sold it in less than a year. Everybody and their mama has this bike, many people love this MT-07 like me. This truly is a fun bike to ride. On paper it may not seem like much but just ride it and you'll understand why I love it.
Hell yeah, riding home from work the other day and I saw these two kids on small motorcycles in their yard. They threw up their hand and I gave them a nice little red line on the ole Yamaha, and I think I made their day! 😁
I have the exact same bike. Same year. Same colorway even. I absolutely LOVE it. It's been my first street bike after growing up on dirtbikes. The upright naked bike riding position feels so easy to me. The power is perfect. Like you said, heaps of low-down grunt, but I don't feel like I'm gonna kill myself on the thing if I don't have perfect throttle control. My only complaints are that the suspension does feel a bit like a pogo stick. This is fine most of the time but a bit unsettling if you're leaned into a corner. Also the stock seat probably violates the Geneva Convention after like 2 hours. But god damn that engine is absolutely bullet proof. The stock road 5's are amazing. The brakes feel plenty good for the weight and power of the bike. The sound is incredble (even with the stock exhaust, and insanely good with an aftermarket exhaust). I could sing the praises of this bike all day.
*NEW VIDEO:* Do Performance Air Filters Add HORSEPOWER? I’ll show you: ua-cam.com/video/CNfvQg356oM/v-deo.html Get K&N Filter (For MT-07): amzn.to/3UXVTV7
I live in the UK and got my MT when it 1st got here in 2014, got it new for my 50th b/day. Love it to bits, ok a bit cheap, but the moped with a 700cc engine is what it is all about. It's the perfect bike for small and light people like myself, I'm only 5 feet 7 and 9 stone, hence I went for it
Got my 2017 FZ07 for $4500 2 years ago in showroom condition completely stock with 2k miles on it. Managed to keep it mint until the strong Socal winds a couple days ago knocked it over, bent the handlebars, scratched the plastics, and broke the shift lever. Sucks man ive worked so hard to keep this fun little machine pristine and clean. Not replacing any of the plastics but everything else yes. Main reason i got it was for that CP2 baby!
I just got a new Z400 and the wind did the same to mine 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve never dropped it but the wind did the job. But thank god only the bar end got scratched because it had the cover on it
I bought one in 2016 when it was the FT-07. It was my first bike and never got bored of it after 4 years of ownership. It was a sad day when I sold it.
I’m currently getting all of my gear so I can take my msf course then a week after I’ll get my mt07. I’m so excited too eventually add a full exhaust and more mods.
im an euro boy, and im only on my a1 license. right now ive a mt-125 and imma get the a2 license soon, and im rly thinkin about the mt 07. videos like this just me even more excited :)
Nice! You'll love it, most people do. However, you'll want to try many bikes as the years go on but maybe you'll be like me and realize the small bikes are much more fun in the city.
I agree the MT07/FZ07 is better than the MT09. I lost an FZ07 to a driver that ran a red light. I bought an FZ09 thinking it would be better but I hated how I was sloped into the tank. Flipped the bike for more than I paid got it and went straight out and got another FZ07.
Yes I have one since April and I love it the MT07 is brilliant in the twisties it's like it's on rails going around bends. Great to see your enjoyment ride safe. Regards Des
All round the MT07 is hard to beat. Other bikes may have more tech and cruise control, but they easily cost 2k to 3k more. I loved my MT07 if not for falling in love with my MT09 SP I would've gotten a new MT07.
That is another reason I love the MT-07, void of all the electronic bs. Old skool cable throttle and clutch, ultra reliable. I hear the new MT-09SP is better than the previous gen MT-09 I had but I already had a MT-09, I wanted to try something totally new. I will probably even add another bike, maybe add a superbike for kicks, possibly a 2023 S1000RR.
@@CycleCruza You're right. The lack of electronics made the MT07 so much fun to ride. I couldn't stop doing wheelies and acting like a complete hooligan. But I commute on the highway alot and having cruise control saves my wrist. I also arrive in a better mood and as a chef working in the kitchen with a sore wrist from riding all day can be a huge pain. Now if the MT07 came with cruise control then I'd definitely buy one.
@@CycleCruza As for a new superbike. I'd just say avoid any Panigale if you ride in any heat like a Georgia summer. The BMW S1000RR is pretty bulletproof from what I'm told.
Hello!I bought mine recently for 6999 from Yamaha dealership! Iwaited 6months to cyan storm colorway but worth waiting . iv done 200km and im absolutly fell in love with it ! Awsome bike for the price!Hy frm Europe(Slovakia)
Welcome to the club. Be careful with Yamaha Styx dealerships in Slovakia. I have some really really bad experiences in terms of bike repairs with them. They charged 3300eur for a bike crash (wasnt my fault) repair, I was OK with that - and when I paid and went to check out and take the "repaired" bike after 2 months, half-done bike was waiting for me. 4-5 parts not replaced, they even let me leave and go home without functioning rear light and brakelight - they told me they didn´t notice.... First and last time I went there, so unprofessional people working there..
I had the exact same thoughts 5 years ago when I purchased my 2017 Yamaha FZ-07. It’s also cheap on insurance. And it still gets looks and people take photographs of my bike.
Looks like I can get a 2016 in great condition with few miles on it for 1600usd! My first naked bike, but it looks mega fun. Less plastic, more smiles it seems!
I only needed one reason. That CP2. 😮💨👌🏽 Best sounding bike I’ve heard in a LONG time. I never really wanted a in-line 4 except an R1 and they have no use for the street for my enjoyment. Ducati sounded cool but $$$$$$. Harley sounds nice but kinda slow and kinda overpriced for what you get. Then the MT-07 came along. Great price, sound, handling, wheelies, etc. The rear suspension of this bike seems to have been entirely made around doing wheelies. It just does it so well.
the FZ/MT07 probably ruined the spice of life for me. I literally have next to no interest in purchasing another bike unless it’s a cruiser so my girl can ride comfortably lol. It’s just that good.
I went to bike shop today and my main dilemma is with colour should I chose and whether to buy brand new or second hand 😂. Just going towards A license but I am hooked already.
It was this or a DRZ400 SM. Opted for the SM for my first bike (rode DB and ATVs in youth) but man, TWO buddies of mine have an 07 and I rode one and MANNNN I want one. Live here in NYC so the SM Is just fucking awesome.
Mt07 was my first bike and I still own it today. I've since owned a total of 6 motorcycles in 7 years. As an aside, I was going to get an mt09, rode one for 30 miles but didn't like the feel. Felt too flimsy. Felt off. The bike was too light for that torque- that seems like a strange sentence but that's how it felt. I instead got the z1000, and that one felt great. It is heavier but that is what the difference was for the power delivery to feel good. Still my favorite bike to this day but I had to get rid of it for an MV Agusta (I still prefer the z1000). I now have 4 bikes in my garage including a triumph, but I still have my very first bike, the Mt07 ready to go anytime.
1- The Get Up and Go (The grunt/ it just wants to go) 2- Most versatile sport bikes 3- Can’t beat the price (Cheaper to buy, cheaper to own) 4- One of the best sounding street bikes 5- Reliability
MT's are sweet bikes! My MT10 though, I don't think I could ever trade away the power! Little knoll in the road, 3rd, 4th gear doesn't matter just whack the throttle a bit and it's rippin that wheel up.
You can't go wrong with any of the MT bikes. I would have got a MT-10 a long time ago but I dislike the looks of the headlight so much. I keep waiting for them to redesign it better.
Agree. Ive had 3 MTs. '16 09, '19 07 and now '17 09. I regret selling my first 09, so i got an 07 instead since i needed cash that time. But the power was what got me, so i went back to the 09. Theyre really good for commuting. Easy to weave thru traffic and all.
I avoided getting a FZ-07/MT-07 for years because I always thought I should get a faster bike but realized the fast bikes are boring in the city compared t the small lightweight torquey bikes. I consider my supermoto and MT-07 the top 2 bikes that are fun for the city out of all the twelve bikes I owned so far.
Hey man, since you also own a supermoto, I own a 350 modified supermoto, and have never pulled the plug on buying one of these MT07 because it is somewhat similar. I have rented one for the weekend and I love it, but then how to justify buying one when I already have something that basically does the same thing, obviously not as much power
Hey been watching you for years..And strangely enough I am going from my beloved MT07 to an Mt03..why you ask? Because I am getting older, shorter, and weaker, so instead of not riding, I am going lighter. And after 70,000 miles on crazy twisty roads and 4th motorcycle, I am going back to a beginner bike, how embarrassing! So maybe I will just hang my head and just ride!!
Where did you get the bike for so cheap my friend just bought one in Miami and it was 15k after all dealer fees and bs. I’m looking to buy one as well.
hey bro I'm from Australia and i think they make em slightly different, you know what i mean. anyway i got a 2018 wr450f and i haven't really found any problems with it it on the road it does have a small bit of vibration but not much at all bro. i got the motard rims and am going to put them on as soon as i have a good day, i got fucken lung cancer so that sucks. but I love it its my baby and ive got or has many bikes in my 42nyears of life so far such aa, first bike I bought with my own cash was a 1982 dt 175 and it was fun for the first 5 minutes lol, all my mates bought kx 115 yz 125 rm 125 etc cos i was ab bit poor and my dad didn't want me to get into bikes because him and his mates grew up with bike and a few of them has bad dramas but i just loved em so much i had to do a lot behind his back at first but he eventually come around. had a scooter, got 2 82 dt 80 but need work, got a Chinese trailbike needs work, finally paid off my 2018 wr450f in 2021. dad got cancer and it took him pretty quick and i found out 2 day after he passed that i had it too. i inherited his Harley Davidson Fatboy and i will be honest it is pretty sick but i would still rather ride my wr450f. also got a 2011 crf 300 so my son can come riding off road cos its not street legal here they are stupidly strict over here. I think i agree with nearly everything you said but the wr450 is just fine on the road after a few little mods. i still even got the stock exhaust only cos i cant afford it at the moment. i got finance for $13,200 but by the way they finished stuffing around the price dropped to $11,200 so i ended spending the rest on helmet, pants, gloves, googles etc. big fan of wearing all the gear. i am sorry to put up a novel to you and all the other viewers I am not real good at using UA-cam. I been watching for at least 5 or 6 months an i thought i was subscribed but today i realised i might not have been.
Honestly I’m glad you like your MT 07 But I’m surprised you didn’t go with the MT09SP version awesome suspension you could take it on long roads a little bit more power not to say that the MT07 doesn’t have power because it sure has quite a bit of power just saying
I did a boatload of videos on the MT-09 so it would add much content by getting a new MT-09 SP besides a few videos talking about the differences in generations and SP version. I wanted something totally different. I might try a MT-10 to complete the MT trilogy. Maybe add a R1 too for fun.

I'm looking for used MT-07 here in my country. It's really hard to find one that's in good condition. Currently using Benelli TNT 249s 2022, now already 31,000 km 😂
I want to get my bike driver licence soon and this is my top 1 vehicle i wanna own. Do you think that this bike is ok to start with, with huge amount of caution? Not for high speed bullshits, just chill rides and sometimes a little bit acceleration with nice sound.. 😀 But i dont want to kill myself, so any bigger bullshits..
I have a Yamaha FZ-07 and a 2008 Buell Ulysses .. in many ways the Buell is more fun to ride .. As would and Indian FTR-1200 too .. I ride long distances and still have my stock exhaust.. because I can't stand loud .. Also I can ride a lot faster when quiet and the Cops don't notice me ..
Cool! It is best to have multiple bikes for different moods. For city urban riding is tough to beat a MT-07. I hear good things about the old Buells too with all that grunt.
Everyone likes different things if we all like the same thing life is boring.i don't like the sound of a Harley Davidson. love the sound of my MT09SP titanium akrapovic but I had to cut the baffle and now it sounds amazing.
This might be an odd question to ask, also please ignore the name. For a person like me who is 5'6" riding a Yamaha MT 07, do you think it is feasible and tolerable with the seat height difference? For context I'm half-Filipino and half-Indonesian, so average height for most Filipinos and Indonesians would be around the ball park of 5'6" or 5'7".

The MT-07 ticks all the boxes for me. Of 7 bikes I've owned it's the best all around. Plenty of aftermarket options to make it your own.👍💗
Same here. Imo, one of the best city bikes. It is a fun punchy lil bike.
I need to upgrade badly
Curious about your owned bike list. Would be cool if you shared, totally fine if you don't feel like it.

this is the funnest street bike i've ever had. i've had gsxr750, mt-07, and the wr250r. all great for diff reasons, but the mt-07 is by far the most enjoyable on road bike i've ever riden
CycleCruza is Faking it, he dont like that bike.
Did a test ride on a new MT-07 yesterday and was immediately sold, a really great bike and fun to ride, will get mine in 2 weeks

I’ve been looking at this bike for my starter. I’m excited to get it.
The MT-07 will definitely be a bike I add to my collection. I love this bike.
This bike is a keeper for me.

I live in the UK and got my MT when it 1st got here in 2014, got it new for my 50th b/day.
Love it to bits, ok a bit cheap, but the moped with a 700cc engine is what it is all about.
It's the perfect bike for small and light people like myself, I'm only 5 feet 7 and 9 stone, hence I went for it
*_Damn, those MT-07s sound so good. Thanks for the vid. Lots of fun._*
But thank god only the bar end got scratched because it had the cover on it
Sorry to hear, that sucks!
I got my MT07 last summer,my first bike ever.I agree with everything that have been said.I am happy for my desicion to buy MT07.
I'm thinking of doing the same this one or the fz 07
I agree the MT07/FZ07 is better than the MT09. I lost an FZ07 to a driver that ran a red light. I bought an FZ09 thinking it would be better but I hated how I was sloped into the tank. Flipped the bike for more than I paid got it and went straight out and got another FZ07.
Yes I have one since April and I love it the MT07 is brilliant in the twisties it's like it's on rails going around bends. Great to see your enjoyment ride safe.
Regards Des
Uncle Cruza please get the MT-10 and complete the trilogy. Stay safe!
@@Frank_Torre From my experience yes the S1000RR is a great bike.
@@EEEBA1 Yes it's one of my options for a track bike.
Hello!I bought mine recently for 6999 from Yamaha dealership! Iwaited 6months to cyan storm colorway but worth waiting . iv done 200km and im absolutly fell in love with it ! Awsome bike for the price!Hy frm Europe(Slovakia)
Nice! Congrats!
Agreed, got one myself and i dont see ever getting rid of it. I'd rather buy another bike of a different type then selling it
Love my 22 MT07. Such an agile ride... its fun.
Gotta love that Yamaha-Davidson, beh beh. This bike should also appeal to people that might want a Buell but don't want the older bike problems.
keep up the good work bro i love watching your videos. you kind of remind me of me lol
I had the exact same thoughts 5 years ago when I purchased my 2017 Yamaha FZ-07. It’s also cheap on insurance. And it still gets looks and people take photographs of my bike.
CycleCruza I placed a deposit on a MT-07 in Yamaha Blue. And I can’t wait to get it.
Looks like I can get a 2016 in great condition with few miles on it for 1600usd! My first naked bike, but it looks mega fun. Less plastic, more smiles it seems!
I only needed one reason. That CP2. 😮💨👌🏽
Best sounding bike I’ve heard in a LONG time.
Got both. The 9 still..all day for me
Nice to see you busting the HELITE!
such a raw power
I’m gonna get one of these, my buddies got a MT-09 and he’s been relentlessly sending me the MT-07 lol
the FZ/MT07 probably ruined the spice of life for me. I literally have next to no interest in purchasing another bike unless it’s a cruiser so my girl can ride comfortably lol. It’s just that good.
What exhaust pipe do you use? Your engine sounds awesome!!
It is nice to collect different bikes, I hope to do so again.
1- The Get Up and Go (The grunt/ it just wants to go)
2- Most versatile sport bikes
3- Can’t beat the price (Cheaper to buy, cheaper to own)
4- One of the best sounding street bikes
5- Reliability
I bought Yamaha MT-07 today ❤️
Bad ass bike love it
I love it!
For this channel, I would like to see motorcycles that I wouldn’t be able to buy myself! Hopefully you trade that sucker in
One of my neighbors just bought a MT07 and let me take it for a spin. That’s a fun bike
I avoided getting a FZ-07/MT-07 for years because I always thought I should get a faster bike but realized the fast bikes are boring in the city compared t the small lightweight torquey bikes. I consider my supermoto and MT-07 the top 2 bikes that are fun for the city out of all the twelve bikes I owned so far.
had mine new since 2016 I think ima ride it till it dies ! cant bring myself to ever sell it!
is there any chance to make the MT 07 's seat the same as the MT 09's seat
Hey man, since you also own a supermoto, I own a 350 modified supermoto, and have never pulled the plug on buying one of these MT07 because it is somewhat similar. I have rented one for the weekend and I love it, but then how to justify buying one when I already have something that basically does the same thing, obviously not as much power
how about the honda cb650r or the hornet?
Hey been watching you for years..And strangely enough I am going from my beloved MT07 to an Mt03..why you ask? Because I am getting older, shorter, and weaker, so instead of not riding, I am going lighter. And after 70,000 miles on crazy twisty roads and 4th motorcycle, I am going back to a beginner bike, how embarrassing! So maybe I will just hang my head and just ride!!
Test ride/buy the mt-10! Curious to hear your thoughts on it.
Is it good for absolute beginner or should I start with MT-03 ?
Yamaha street has the best motor balance today: price, hp to cc, torque to cc, weight, reliability, build quality.
Where did you get the bike for so cheap my friend just bought one in Miami and it was 15k after all dealer fees and bs. I’m looking to buy one as well.
I considering getting one of these but I'm waiting to hear more about the gsx8s.
is that a restricted? doesn't seem that quick like in other videos...
I want one seems fun to drive with power
hey bro I'm from Australia and i think they make em slightly different, you know what i mean. anyway i got a 2018 wr450f and i haven't really found any problems with it it on the road it does have a small bit of vibration but not much at all bro. i got the motard rims and am going to put them on as soon as i have a good day, i got fucken lung cancer so that sucks. but I love it its my baby and ive got or has many bikes in my 42nyears of life so far such aa, first bike I bought with my own cash was a 1982 dt 175 and it was fun for the first 5 minutes lol, all my mates bought kx 115 yz 125 rm 125 etc cos i was ab bit poor and my dad didn't want me to get into bikes because him and his mates grew up with bike and a few of them has bad dramas but i just loved em so much i had to do a lot behind his back at first but he eventually come around. had a scooter, got 2 82 dt 80 but need work, got a Chinese trailbike needs work, finally paid off my 2018 wr450f in 2021. dad got cancer and it took him pretty quick and i found out 2 day after he passed that i had it too. i inherited his Harley Davidson Fatboy and i will be honest it is pretty sick but i would still rather ride my wr450f. also got a 2011 crf 300 so my son can come riding off road cos its not street legal here they are stupidly strict over here.
You should try a dorso
I also put him onto your channel and he said he’s going to check it out
What is the total price now? For MT03

The sounds!!!!
Sound of the MT-09 sounds much better.
in eu the cp2 engine is the one with the least problems
I like this bike, but recently test road a CF MOTO NK 300! I will get that one as a second bike because it is loaded with features and it is cheaper!
Cool! I hear good things about the CFMoto. Let me know how the bike works out for you. Best of luck!
@@CycleCruza Thank you! 👍
Hey man! Have you got a link to the exact Akrapovic system you have? Cheers 🤙
How did you get the weight down to 388 lb
That my dream bike, I'm looking forward to owning one soon. Please let me know if you know any is giving away on competition
Just got 2020 MT 07
How does this compare to the Kawasaki Z series like the Z400 or Z900?
Everyone likes different things if we all like the same thing life is boring.i don't like the sound of a Harley Davidson. love the sound of my MT09SP titanium akrapovic but I had to cut the baffle and now it sounds amazing.
At least it wont need as much maintenance than your YZ. What about doing a touring with your 07?
Would you recommend this or mt 03 for a brand new rider?
Hi ive been wanting to own a roadbike for a long time would it be a good choice ive been riding dirtbikes for hours
You really only need one reason.... because MT-07!
Really though I bet more people would ride one if they just tried it.
Does anyone need a new fender eliminator kit and blue brake/clutch levers for a MT07? My wife got me them and my bike is a MT09.
When you put on an aftermarket exhaust do you have to do anything else like tune or just good to go after installation?
Need to get the engine flashed /re-mapped
@@LoscoeLad have to remap for a full exhaust but also just for a slip on?
This might be an odd question to ask, also please ignore the name. For a person like me who is 5'6" riding a Yamaha MT 07, do you think it is feasible and tolerable with the seat height difference? For context I'm half-Filipino and half-Indonesian, so average height for most Filipinos and Indonesians would be around the ball park of 5'6" or 5'7".
Bought my 2016 FZ-07 new for $6K out the door. I put a Yosh full exhaust/muffler on it along with a few other mods. Solid bike and love riding it.
Is there any way to make the seat of the MT07 2022 the same as the seat of the MT 09 2022?
Does this bike fit short people
Is this the high output version or the restricted learners version?
