Gary, that is awesome information, thank you. This is a cutter in a university print lab and its been there for many, many years. So I'm sure some accessories have gone missing. We use this video in the print lab to help students learn how to use ours, but its good to know that if you are thinking of getting one of these for yourself there are extra tools to help you be more precise. Thanks again Gary!!

You seem to have some parts missing from your Fletcher 2100. I have been using one of these for over 6 years without all of the razor fuss to finish the cut. The bar which holds the blade should include end stops. These can be set to limit the blade travel. There is a micro adjustment, which allows you to ensure that it stop at exactly the correct distance and the cut out portion drops straight out. I NEVER need to mark the back of the board because I know that the stops and rulers are properly calibrated. Hope my comment helps.

what are the correct blade depth settings for beveled cuts on 4ply and 8ply?

I forgot to also say: I have blades in both sides of the cut head. I can cut straight or bevel cuts without needing the fuss of moving a blade to the other side.

peter gile, this is a University lab and it has been there for years. This video was intended to help students learn to get the best out of the old equipment, and we also wanted to address what to do in circumstances like "what if your corners didn't cut through all the way. A complete and better maintained cutter would do much better without those little problems.
