Christine, when Haley (and each child) goes out on their own, take your handwritten recipe book to a copy shop. Have them color copy the recipes (color so it includes the ink color and the spills and everything that make it special). Then have them laminate the front and back covers and put into a spiral binder. We did this with my mother-in-law's recipe book and it made a special gift for the kids/grandkids. Her handwritten recipes are super special.
Yes every new bride to the family needs one . At the bridal shower ask every guest to bring a recipe in their handwriting ( you can laminate them and add them to the book what an heirloom)
All my great aunts and my maternal grandma put together a recipe book, Jagger Family Recipes. They are copies with their hand written notes from over the decades. Super special memento that was given to us at the last family reunion all the families were able to attend back in the 90's. I still use it.
I started shopping the clearance deals at Smith's after watching this channel for a bit. My husband never picks Smith's as a first choice to shop. But he was there today and came home and said "I frugal fit mommed the deals at Smith's."
Tyler just sat there quietly and ate his chocolate while everyone else was enjoying themselves. I wish there was more interaction with him. He seems like such a sweet kid!
Scared the crap out of my bf this morning while he was making breakfast. I gasped and said “NEW CHRISTINE VIDEO!!” and he broke the egg he was flipping 😂❤️
We have had our TV stand for ~ 3 years as well, always thought it was a little funny that it had silver edges, but realized last week it was the protective cover all along!!
On turning up the heat more than recommended under the always pan: "I do what I want" Then blamed the pan for the overcooked tuna....that made me laugh! Classic Christine
I know, right! We eat them all the time too and i loved seeing the family so respectfully try things. And the little one just eat the WHOLE payasito 🤣. We enjoyed this video so much!
Hailey is so pretty she gets it from her momma 😊 I love how you just toss whatever you have and show us it’s okay to use things that are not 100% perfect looking
"These are very strong red pepper flakes, so I'm gonna go a little shy on this one," . . says FFM as she dumps in twice as much as most would. Got that metabolism on BLAST, lol.
That’s hilarious 😂 I’ve had my instant pot since Mother’s Day 2015 and I just realized I had the clear sticker on the face of mine since about a week ago 🤣
I got my pioneer women edition instant pot back in November and have yet to take it out almost a year now but I like it with the plastic lol 😂 I don’t want to ruin the edges etc 😭😭
love that you show people to make a good meal from whats in ... sometimes the meals that you throw together quickly end up being everyones favs hee hee 💛
Two thoughts. 1) Whatever happened to home ec?! My kids can cite the number of electors in each state but don't even know what Half & Half is; 2) Get Kimberly "Whisk" (the Wads) to send you one! She has, like, 40. It's a problem.
I can’t remember the conversions so my husband bought me a magnet with them for my fridge 🙃 super helpful since I seem to only have a 1/2 Tbsp and 1/4 cup no matter how many sets I purchase 😆
I have a theory that measuring cups and always just one sock out of a pair somehow magically turn into extra Tupperware lids! And when you can’t find the right Tupperware lid for a dish, it’s turned into a sock in the clean laundry that doesn’t have a match.
I recommend you to put rice in hot water for 30min then stir them in butter till they became kinde see thorough then add water and chicken broth or bulyon. It will be more better this is the way we cook in Turkey
Dave's accent was on point! I grew up on this candy so this was fun to see. The pickled or lime plum you put in your mouth, usually people will bite and suck or just suck on it rather than stick the whole thing in their mouth :D.
You could try slowly drying them out in a low oven, or in one of those dehydrators if you've got access to one. There is also a way to do it in the microwave, but I'm not sure how that would work with red pepper. I can't eat them, so I've never tried.
I like putting cauliflower in chicken pot pie soup. I mix it after it’s cooked with broth and put the soupy texture of cauliflower back into soup. Very delicious!
After scrolling through comments and not finding the answer, decided to go with 425 on the rice dish. May try 400 next time. Cooked it in 6.5 qt red Dutch oven from Sams. Let me say it was soooo delicious!!! Did add some pepper and parsley. Because like you, my friend, I also do what I want!!! My children LOVED it!!! One of my rice haters exclaimed the "red pot" makes everything taste better!!
You should try this recipe for blueberry muffins... 3/4 c. Honey 2 eggs 1/2 c. Butter 1 tsp. Vanilla 2 c. Blueberries 2 c. Flour 1 tsp. Baking soda 1/4 c. Plus 1 tbsp. Buttermilk 1 tsp. Baking powder Put all wet ingredients in one bowl. Mix together. Put all dry ingredients into a different bowl. Mix together. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Bake at 325 for about 30-35 minutes. This recipe came from a Mennonite lady who is an awesome baker and cook. I know you have been searching for a blueberry recipe you actually like
for your oven baked rice try using milk instead of chicken broth you can swipe the inside of your pan with butter before putting the rice and milk bake for 30 minutes uncovered and unmold the rice cake.
I snagged the salt-free vegetable seasoning that you've recommended before and we love it! I used it with a potato, sausage, and cabbage dish most recently; great flavor. 👍🏼
When you try the snacks from different countries LOVE IT! & Love that your kids are so willing to try different things. I do this with my daughter too! We did an Asian one. I was terrifed to try some of them. I love the Tamarind from Mexico. Popsicles from Mexico are amazing, same with their take on donuts... Pan I believe it's called. Sooooo good!
I enjoyed the candy tasting. If you like sweet and spicy together, I had a dessert at a sushi restaurant of all places one time, it was hot, fresh-made sweet potato fries sprinkled with powdered sugar AND Tabasco hot sauce served on the side. I was like, WHAT?? This makes NO sense at all! But I gave it a try and OMG it was delicious!
My son could eat cheeseburgers daily. I also recently got him to eat homemade fried rice using cauliflower rice. He's autistic with other issues and is 16 years old.
i forgot the conversions when i had to figure out how to sew the JAM shorts. i did home ec in 8th grade. they didnt offer in 9th grade, high school so i took metals and wood shop. ball peen hammer and a wood shelf i got back from my mom a couple years ago. woo.
I was thinking recently about how I was a little upset that the plastic over the buttons was peeling after only a few years when the rest of my Instant Pot was still in perfect condition. I had to pause the video to go check and yepp...never peeled off the protective wrapper 🤦🏾♀️ looks brand new again now lol
I prepare fresh tuna as part of my monthly meal menu. We stopped using canned tuna about 24 years ago. Healthier. 💕😊I enjoy your meal preps, frozen or in real time. Thank you.
I’ve been learning (re-learning?) my conversions at my new job. We serve just under 200 residents at a care facility, so I’ve been learning in ounces. 1 ounce is equal to two tablespoons, which is an eighth of a cup (so, a cup is 8 ounces), it muddles my brain sometimes, but it’s been fun learning everything, and makes recipes easier to manage when measurements are all over the place or need to be multiplied. Good lessons to know!! Everyone needs a conversion chart!!!
These are mexican candy. I love most of them and I respect the ones that have to much chili. My brothers say I might be adopted because I don't really like chilli.
Hi Christine you should try this bread recipes 1 beer (a can 33.3 cl) 3 cups of flour some baking soda, salt and sugar combine everything and bake it in a form for around 30-45 min. in the oven on 400F
I listened to this post at lunch today. The Tuna rice bowl sounded so good. I didn't have Tina but have frozen salmon, frozen broccoli and rice in the rice cooker. Air fried the fish and broccoli and will top it with a sauce I have in the fridge. Eady peasy. Picky man will get boring old fish sticks and fries.
My husband and I got several flavors of tuna steaks from Aldi a couple years ago and they are delicious! Unfortunately they were seasonal and I haven’t seen them since!
Cookbook is a great idea! I adore your pantry and savvy recipes also - they'd be great as a recipe card collection. Charities and food pantries would love them to hand out with food boxes to help people really use what they've received.
If your fingers are a little sticky, you can run them through your hair. The oils will make your fingers not sticky! Won't fix a glob obviously unless you want sticky hair
A Christine Cookbook! C'mon. Awesomeness
I agree Cook book!
I need that cookbook! 🙏🏽
Yes she needs to make one!!!
I agree
Cook book! Cook book! Cook book!😝😝

This is such a good idea for my kids because one never met my parents or grandparents...thanks for the tip!
Brilliant idea!
I applaud you for being so open minded and respectful when trying foods you aren’t familiar with. That’s is what I call showing diversity. Thank you.
I love how Tyler just quietly sat there earing the chocolate covered marshmallow while you were all freaking out over the dried plum lol
He was living his best life! haha
A rewards app but we get $1 every time Christine pepper sprays herself cooking 🤣
I'm rich!
I started shopping the clearance deals at Smith's after watching this channel for a bit. My husband never picks Smith's as a first choice to shop. But he was there today and came home and said "I frugal fit mommed the deals at Smith's."
Love that phrase! I’m so going to use that!

Yes please on the cookbook!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I could honestly eat breakfast burritos for days. There are so many options!
Oh my goodness!! Andrew is growing up! He looks so much like Dad!!
I love how your kids are willing to try everything! So great to see adventurous eaters.
On turning up the heat more than recommended under the always pan: "I do what I want" Then blamed the pan for the overcooked tuna....that made me laugh! Classic Christine
Christine, watching your family interact and eat anything is so entertaining! Thank you for all the laughs! 🥰
“It’s not the rona! It’s the pepper!” Thank you for making being in the kitchen fun!
Oh, man. Dave's face when you mimed eating the entire guava roll is priceless. 25:20
Omg that was hilarious!
I just watched it over and laughed out loud again 😂
That look of fear... Oh no, I don't get any!!!!!
I am Mexican & those are all regular treats for me ..I’m so glad you guys filmed the end ❤️😬
I know, right! We eat them all the time too and i loved seeing the family so respectfully try things. And the little one just eat the WHOLE payasito 🤣. We enjoyed this video so much!

Good idea i will diy one
Hailey is so pretty she gets it from her momma 😊
I love how you just toss whatever you have and show us it’s okay to use things that are not 100% perfect looking
The dried salted plum is best tucked into the middle of a lemon cut in half!!!! I grew up with that and it is a favorite!
My first week of frugal dinners! Saved 60 to 70 dollars wow
"These are very strong red pepper flakes, so I'm gonna go a little shy on this one," . . says FFM as she dumps in twice as much as most would. Got that metabolism on BLAST, lol.

I just saw this video and checked my IP. Sure enough I had the plastic on it too. I have had my IP for a couple three years.
What temp did you cook the rice on? Would love to make it... we love rice here 💜
"Not Corona, its the pepper"😂🤣😂🤣
What temp for the baked rice? Looks amazing
Literally in tears over the reaction to the treats!! No, no. keep chewing, it gets better.... well, it changes flavor anyway. LOL!!!
love that you show people to make a good meal from whats in ... sometimes the meals that you throw together quickly end up being everyones favs hee hee 💛
Awh I loved seeing the kids in this! Love these little snack taste testing with the fam! ❤️
I should be studying for my math final.
But. Christine.
Edit: POWERLINE!!! 🧡🧡🧡
I find it refreshing that your cabinets aren’t trendy white! I love liquid aminos as well. Thanks Christine!
Naan pizza has become part of my monthly food planning thanks to Christine. Having it tonight for dinner. 😁
STAND OUT GIRL!! I have a Powerline Sweatshirt and shirt and I LOVE THEM! You just became one of my favorite people. haha!
Catching up on my videos, I’m watching alllll the commercials!!! Movie trailers galore! Heck yeah!!!!!!
Tyler eating the chocolate and disappearing like a boss

Same!

Agreed. I need a time lapse.

Hehe even when I know the protective film is still on something, if it's not impeding its use, I just leave it. :)
These recipes look amazing.
oh the de la rosa were a big part of my childhood.. heck most of your table was a part of our 'junk food' growing up....

375 F until fluffy and done

I adore what adventurous eaters your kids (and husband!) are!
Smackin' a measuring cup on your palm.. Its such a satisfying sound. Its a must for every use of measuring cups. Every time. I don't know why.
Loving the family tasting! The kids are so able to articulate what they are tasting. 5 stars!
Your family is so sweet. I love how close you are. The international food tastings are great!
We put the dried plum in a lemon and eat the lemon and squeeze the juice in our mouth salty and sour but not as salty as eating the salted plum akone.

The taste test at the end was awesome. For the De La Rosa Marzipan, the is a sugar free option on Amazon and they have chocolate covered ones as well.
Hi, Tyler. He's usually quiet and reserved with his interactions. I liked hearing him express his opinions and thoughts.

Ooh have you tried half rice half riced cauliflower? It’s a good way to sneakily eat vegetable. Works especially well with white calrose rice.
