I actually enjoyed the interaction between tarantino and the interviewer. Keep up the good work this was very intriguing to watch and finish till the end
What does what you said have to do with tilling? First, you speak about how good this interview was, then all of a sudden you're all about tilling soil until the end? I just don't see the connection, man.
This interview was actually very wholesome. They both had mutual respect for each other and at the end you can see how he appreciated how the interviewer worked

Amazing interview, amazing interviewer! I think Quentin is so honest and down to earth in all of his answers(in any interview I´ve seen so far). Now for the interviewer, he focused on all the right issues and did a great job!
Within the first few seconds I can tell Quentin is so intelligent. He’s an absolute genius and it’s displayed in the way he speaks and how quickly he processes things. I’ve never seen an interview with him but I can immediately tell this man is beyond smart
This was a very well conducted interview. I love Tarantino and all of his films; he's brilliant as hell and can tackle very dark subjects in a presentable way. As the two said, the true brutality of slavery in the Americas far exceeds the violence displayed in this film.
Patrick Craig Very well conducted interview indeed. It placed the tone on the subjects themselves rather than on the criticism on the movie director. Tarantino was clearly happy to see that someone understands what he is doing and sees his support.
***** Mostly because people ask him stupid questions to garner that reaction from him. Some interviewers do that to people for the sake of making those they ask look bad.
RandomTashAnia Yeah... that's pretty much exactly what I said. And it doesn't negate the fact that he completely loses his shit when a moderately stupid question is asked. Got a temper on him.
@@Goldmanvision idk but tarentino always seems to emulate black peoples voices when he talks with them in interviews 😂. Kinda cringy but i dont think hes trying to hes just strange
It never ceases to amaze me how people can object to violent, racist, murderous characters in a film using bad language... You can show a guy mowing down a crowd of people with a machine gun, but you can't have him yell out something racist as he's doing it... even though it provides context as to who he is and why he's doing it.
Lol. This comment wasn't even ranking the movies, it was just listing them in their chronological order of release in the "historical-fantasy trilogy" that was referenced in the video.
Django was a masterpiece because there was such thing as a "freeman" in the west and south it was very rare but it was true and how they had the mandinga fights to the death Quintin tarintino showed the things that other directors would shove under the rug but he showed the truth
L Mcmoney same here. The English brutalized the Irish in the 1600's. They killed women and children, burned entire villages to the ground, took human heads as trophies. Shakespeare implemented tons of subtext about this in his plays. But we don't see this adapted on film or told in modern stories.
Hearing and seeing Quentin be so passionate about films and having the confidence to explain his process while not give a fit about anybody’s else’s opinions toward how films should be made encourages me to trust my gut and emit how I feel about films. And with that being said I salute Tarantino for existing. Django Unchained is my second favorite Tarantino film after Inglorious Basterds.
Tarintino's next film should be another time period/ film genre colab, with the 3rd atrocity in the trilogy being the Native American genocide. I can't think of the film genre though.
One of my Favourite Tarantino interviews because you let him talk and you can get him to actually talk about shit instead of being defensive the whole interview, because of rude questions.
The thing about his movies is THEY ARE REALISTIC. When people get shot it's bloody, they scream cuz it's burning inside, this shows how horrible violence is and that's a good thing
There are aspects that are realistic. I think the most realistic parts of django is how people talk and just the key plotpoints. Most westerns are about white dudes vs indians or bandits, but they dont talk about the huge aspect of western cuture, slavery. Django really exposed that, showing a reality and more realistic view of the west in that time period. but no, when someone gets shot they dont explode like firecrackers and watermellon
LotusMTG You obviously didn't see any italian western. Check Sergio Leone at least, it's Tarantino's favorite director and one of his biggest influence in all of his movies. What you describes could apply to old fashioned american westerns like John Ford's movies, but spaghetti western is something else entirely. Django is a modern spaghetti western.
Nameless Hero I think the blood splatters were a bit over the top. From what I know, you often don't even realise someone was shot until he hits the ground and blood starts flowing. Maybe it also depends on the weapon used...
