Have you ever considered using products like the CarPro Hydro Lite through a foam lance ?. Ido it all the time & find it a more even & controlled easier method, but i always dry the glass areas off. I just find that it's almost always windy & spraying from a bottle most of the stuff goes everywhere except on the car. On the 2 bucket method tbh, i naively thought that everybody did that & so should i, but i find that most of the time i don't even use the rinse bucket because after a APC spray on the lower half and snow foam laid on top, there is hardly any dirt left on the car anyway. my wash bucket always looks clean after a contact wash. Just my thoughts !.

Hi Alan, not considered using the product through a snow foam lance to be honest. You are right in that the spray goes everywhere though and I have a video scheduled for 2nd Jan where I use a different method to apply a similar product. I let my wife 'operate' on the big wash pad and she opened it up and removed the foam and made a glove of the microfiber; very usable for me now!

The buckets your right on . Ive a local shop that deals with things for " home grows " , popular in Stoke it seems , and I got 2 buckets off him for the price of one bulls*it type one . If Im just washing mine I use £1 buckets , if Im doing all 3 then bring the big boys out . Whats the drying towel ? Reminds me looks wise of a old Meguiars one I had . Was going to ask do you find with a coated or well maintained car a thicker towel doesnt work as well as a thinner loops type towel ? Ive both types of AD ones and the thinner is by far better on coated but the thicker works well on the lads Honda which isnt . For mine , which rarely moves , a weekly wash may not need a snowfoam off as its just dirty from sitting and rain etc not actual grime off roads so no need to foam it down as much

If I was cleaning my tyres to apply Serum I used to use 303 rubber cleaner but now use diluted Decon shampoo 10 to 1 topped with wheel shampoo from a foamer. Works a treat.

    Small buckets small 🍆🤣🤣
Your BS buckets are nice Martin!, I do agree that some brands take the piss when they’re buying these for a few pounds and selling for 5x what wholesale is , with a little sticker on it , cheap buckets are available 😅
Protection wise I do love Hydro Lite, it’s amazing and lasts so long , the gloss on the X3M just looks incredible , I love it 😍
I know you’ve been using spray protectants on your wheels but do you think your ceramic coating is still on them?

Hi Graeme, I can’t be sure about the wheel coating but think it’s still there on the barrels as they are still in very good order and very easy to keep clean. Can’t comment on the spokes and rims as they get lots of protection applied at every wash. Mostly spray on rinse off but also DDSi/Liquid Crystal/Sigma
