I've had my 200sx RS13U (european spec, which comes with the CA18DET) for 14 years. I bought it from an 82 year old man, Mr Price, who stayed in my home town, Cape Town South Africa. He imported it brand new in 1992 from Belgium to South Africa. I bought it from him (I was the second owner from brand new) for R18 000 ($1158) in 2008, it had 78 000km (48 000 miles) Full service history, everything was OEM, including the rims, radio, sunroof bag, full tool kit and jack and some other OEM goodies from Nissan in Belgium.
After 14 years of ownership, she still puts a smile on my face, hearing the turbo and exhaust sound. Looking at her all polished and clean always makes me think what a beautiful car that Japanese made.
My 200sx still is OEM, with a full service history, original radiator, original shocks, original springs (never cut), still stock height, original rims, original midnight blue paint, the only upgrade i ever did to my car, was a stainless steel exhaust and T28/T25 turbo, original exhaust manifold, original injectors. She is making a reliable 158kws and 285nm. The current milage is a very healthy 184 000kms (114 332 miles) still full service history, i change the oil and oil filter every 5000kms (3100 miles).
If you guys would like to see pictures of my car follow me on instagram @200sx_ca18det

I bought my 180sx off a street drifter a few years ago for 11k. I definitely paid too much for it at the time. But 275kw under the bonnet, massive garret turbo on 18-21psi, Z32 gearbox and running on e85. Still just repairing things that break and trying to make it look good again. Lots of plans for it, looking forward to follow the MCM 180sx! Will definitely be grabbing one of those posters.

YAY \o/ SR20DET build done in 2022. I have a "project" car that's been unloved for years gathering dust in the garage for well over a decade due to circumstances beyond my control. It's JDM import. It's SR20DET powered - it has the late 90's air filter, 3" cat back exhaust (drooooone), the 3 aftermarket gauge pod on the driver's A pillar, the 18" wheels with painted on rubber, the whiteline lowering springs, the blow off valve, the oil catch can, the Profec B boost controller - was running 1.2bar on the stock turbo as a daily. All that "back in the day" stuff. Sadly the uprated heavy clutch caused the demise of the clutch release arm by way of a hole being punched through it by the rod it pushes on (known issue at the time). I had to park it up and mothball it due to lack of funds. Keep meaning to get to it, but.... f****ng life just won't give me a break :(
Hope I can get some inspiration here and see what is now possible. Maybe bring myself to look at it again. It depresses me having it there to the point I can't look, but not letting it go... because.. one of these days I'll be in a position to sort it :D

15:10 I've heard that gas vs petrol statement so many times. It's not called gas because it's a vapor, it's short for gasoline. Petrol (short for Petroleum) is straight up crude oil. Gasoline is the distilled and processed derivative of Petroleum. Petroeum doesn't go in your fuel tank; gasoline does. But hey to each their own.

I love my 180SX I have had it since January 2000 and was my daily driver for 14yrs now for 8yrs it's in the shed as I work in Asia. It's a 1989 with 280hp CA18DET Gun metal grey, black work meister S1 2pc a Kakimoto exausht and a ton of mods. One day when I return I will give it life again and watching the price rise love the build and be getting a poster sent to Kuala Lumpur cheers.

My first car and what hooked me on cars and brought me to you guys was my 180sx(240sx since I'm in the states) it was terrible with the 2.5 half-blown leaky engine and I did SR redtop swap and everything else you gents mentioned as well. Sold it for down payment for my house ($2500 ;_;) and the kid I sold it to wrapped it around a tree. (he's fine) So much nostalgia with this car and obv had to buy poster. I still have the redtop coil cover I will be putting with the poster for good memories!

You can tell how much money they make at this point by how they just toss the OEM perfect condition tails in the trash. OEM tails for my BB6 Prelude are more than I care to wish to pay, and I can only imagine the price of the perfect OEM 240sx tails.
Props to Marty for saving the day! I'm guessing they both knew that and Moog was just messing with us lol.

You'd be surprised. I've had pristine stock rear lights and a whole pristine stock intake (the intake hose, breather hose, airbox, air flow meter and all the mounts and clips) I've had both on ebay at 50 bucks for 6 months. I thought people would be interested in sosres or putting some of the cars back to stock for sale or display/ storage. But apparently not.

Always unplug the injectors (and pull fuel pump fuse if you want) when doing compression testing.
Spraying unburnt fuel in the combustion chambers is going to wash off your surface oil on the cylinder walls and cause the most wear you can imagine.

I feel so bad for my 240sx. It used to be my daily driver, worked as a pizza delivery car, helped me move around out of my hometown and to various apartments, and was sort of a friend to me. The KA24DE needed to be rebuilt, and it took its last drive in 2014 with the 120 miles back to my parents house where it currently is rotting away. It’s bone stock except a Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel, never in a crash, has that hatch trunk cover thing lol. Not sure what it’s fate is going to be, rusting into a pile…
