Amen you guys nailed it ! Eric the entire 2 nights were for love and .mutual respect you are the master organizer. I know all could not attend nor perform bit you did a great tribute to your friend Jeff ❤ your Forever Fan appreciates all you do for other's. God bless all of you.
Versions of the Rice Pudding intro lick would show up later in songs by Zep, Aerosmith, AC-DC and others. First time we heard it was in this Jeff Beck Group song in 1968
Yes, the one and only Chris Stainton with his CP1 stage piano. Not only Joe Cocker, he played a lot with Eric Clapton and was the piano man on Quadrophenia, just to mention a few collaborations.
@@timcastens1150 speculation. A lot of people saying arthritis but I’ve seen recent video of him playing(he’s demoing his different set ups and guitars). I think Clapton and him never hurried the hatchet. old beefs
Sadly Ron Wood, while in my estimation, is a greeeaat bass player...the bass he's holding in the video above and he claims to be the exact bass he played while in the Jeff Beck Group...is WRONG...Ron Wood played a 1968 Fender Telecaster bass...looks like a early 50's P-Bass as that is what it was a reissue of...buuut...since the Preciosn line had evolved...aaaand because the slab cut body and 'Telecaster' style pegged are consistent with a 50's P-Bass...just renamed it Telecaster bass. I saw the Jeff Beck Group play many times...ALWAYS that Telecaster bass through various bass amps...but primarily PLUSH 'Tuck n' Roll' bass amps. I searched the internet over looking for a picture of Ron Wood playing the Jazz Bass from the video above...yet to find one. If anybody has one...somehow share it. I find it crazy that Ron Wood can't recognize or remember what bass he played while touring with The Jeff Beck Group...somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Bottom line I guess it doesn't matter but a Telecaster Bass and a Jazz bass are...to me...two completely diifferent animals...looks, feel, sound, etc. Maybe Ron Wood figured nobody would notice ;-)

Chris Stainton does a. great Nicky Hopkins tribute as well !
Ron also played a first-era Precision.
I believe ... that is Chris Stanton (sp?) on piano. Made his name in Joe Cocker's band. Glad he's still with us ... if it's him.
