- Finally finished this project so i took it out for a ride up a pretty steep hill to test overcurrent and temperature safety features. Results speak for themselves. No thermal or current throttling all the way up. Got to say im happy how this thing turned out.
VSETT 10
- Spintend Ubox V2, 75/100 dual
- Dual batt packs @ 16S - 48Ah
- Magura MT5e, Trickstuff rotors, Galfer pads.
- Exa Form 291R suspension
- Motors cooled with Statorade
- Custom LED lights and wiring
- Other bits and pieces
Do you have a heatsink on it? And you thought about motors with larger magnets (like the 12" inch one on the spintend site) that would give even better results.
Otherwise, thanks a lot, this video is good enough to get an idea of the (thermal) performance of spinted ubox.Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for my ubox single :/ and spiny throttle
Srry mate but i have to dissapoint you. Thermals on singles are really bad. They are not quite comparable products and will overheat a lot. As for bigger motors, no... I dont want faster or bigger. This build has been done specifically for hill climbing abilities and pure acceleration and i got that just how i wanted it.
@@GizCRO It's true that I'm getting quite conflicting reports about the thermal characteristics of the spintend single, I'll see how it turns out in the end. Otherwise, I really like the tramp 100/250, in case I'm not satisfied with the singles, I'll go to them.
@@alesreman3458 check out 3shul also. They have some good 12 and 24fet designs at ok prices
@@GizCRO I know about 3shul, I was thinking about them with a supersoco cheap e bike conversion. However, there is not enough information for my taste, and the interface of the connectors, which is different from other VESCs, bothers me a little.

105kg and ambient was around 25C.

Mate, there is not. I know my stuff around electronics so it wasn't hard for me, only time consuming, but someone who does not have the ...well, at least basic knowledge, will not be able to handle a project like this.
Isnt that not way to much amps for the controller?
This is an aftermarket controller that can handle 2x100A from battery and over 150 phase amps per motor. Currently this VSET10 is running over 9.3KW of power vs stock 3.2kw.

150 phase amps per motor, 70 batt amps per motor. 15A of field weakening per motor at 94% duty cycle.

@@GizCRO yes I read that it will give you more torque in start up but I am testing to see how much heat will come
@@frayfray6168 field weakening is not used down low. It is used at the end of the rev range of the motor to counter back EMF. It has nothing to do with start up torque.
