I always find overlaps or transferable skills from other sports I played like baseball or hockey, but with putting I always find myself focusing following through all the way until my putter is pointing at my target (which is technique for hockey players to pass the puck with more accuracy). I feel like indirectly or unintentionally am doing what you're teaching here, which is cool lol

One inch of back swing per foot of putt. Four-foot putt, four-inch back swing. Trust me if you "decelerate" you will be two feet short.
