Hi from New Zealand....home of Lydia Ko, Ryan Fox, Frank Nobilo ...Bob Charles and more.....I"m 70 next week, seen thousands of instruction videos over the years and that would have to be one of, if not the best I've ever seen!!!! . No change to her basic swing just a slight adjustment to her set up. 4 swings!! Welll done!!! Sooo...I just subscribed to your channel and pressed "like"
Thanks for the message. Our aim is to keep it simple for golfers as most go in to the technical too much. Thanks for the sub. Let us know what you would like us to cover inn the videos.
Haven't watched this before when I played last couple rounds. I just know that leveling up the stance and aiming the body in the right direction makes a huge difference. Been focusing more on doing this and having a lighter swing and its been proving itself quite well. Never birdied 2 holes in just 9 holes but did it about a week ago. Heck, I barely birdie the way it is so this type of "pre-hit drill" definitely should not be overlooked.
I’ll be trying this along with your other driver video. Keep my back to target longer. I’ve been golfing for 4.5 years and while I am improving my drive is still my worst part of my game. Can’t wait to try this out at the range.
I once had a little book that came with Titleist balls that taught how to build your game from scratch (2002). It said that most wayward shots were due to the misalignment of feet, hips and shoulders. Spot on guys!
I heard someone mention a golf lesson in this video. I was transfixed on the “finer points” and missed the entire instruction. I love the way she addresses the ball.😊
I almost didn't watch this video because I refuse to introduce anything into my golf swing that would detract from the progress I've made over the years. However, the video was absolute science. It's all about your angles at the address. If you set yourself up for success before hitting the ball, you stand a better chance of hitting where you aim. Brilliance!!!
I have only been golfing for a year and a half. The biggest problem I had was my driver. I was a big fader, not a slicer. I recently tried this lesson and then applied it to the course, and the results were amazing!!! Just this minor adjustment had me hitting long and straight. Thanks a lot
Wow. for me, i used to hit straight and long, now i recently see my self shooting crazy slice, i didnt know what i ve changed. I think i know why now. Big thanks to the video creator
This tip is a game changer. By taking a couple of seconds to check my shoulder alignment, I found I was striking the ball more cleanly and putting it on, or near, the middle of the fairway. As a result, my distance improved also. Thank you for a tip that actually works! ⛳
I’ve been slicing for a year now. I understand swinging inside out, but couldn’t understand why I kept slicing. Had this exact issue and fixed my slice. Hit about 15 drives straight down the middle with full power that would normally go right 30 yards.
Pretty impressive improvement in just a couple of minutes - just a small tweak to the shoulder angle and she was good to go. I like that she has a nice, unhurried swing too. That's one of my biggest challenges - rushing the downswing
Wow you guys really nailed it. I didnt know that both arms on hitting a driver should be level like hitting a putter. Thank you i subscribed. Does that work also for hitting straight with irons?
Yes, it works for irons. The most telling comment, imo, was when she said, "it feels like I'm aiming right" when she was in fact facing straight away. So her "feel" is "aim right" with her shoulders.
I've had a serious power fade issue that seems to correct itself on the course but probably because I'm more conscious of where I want the ball to go. As many do I line my feet up left of where I want to hit (slighlty open stance) and I think my power fade comes from swinging down the line of my feet as I would if I were intentionally hitting a cut with my irons. I think I need to consciously swing the driver down the line of target vs line of feet and kaboom! Sorry fo the long comment, just felt like babbling. 😁
There's a reason why the best players in the world have alignment sticks down and practice their setup all the time. Even the world #1 practices his setup and grip at every warmup before every event.
Thanks for the feedback. Can definitely do more on the numbers. Not really ideals as we are all different especially with distance etc. What do you struggle with?
@@meandmygolf. I think the two biggest issues I have, straighter drives which you guys have covered a bunch, but also, how to stop hitting wedges/irons fat. We get so used to practice on flat lies at the range, that every time we are hitting off of an uneven lie it’s a coin flip if it’s going to be a pure shot or one that goes 1/2 the distance because we hit behind the ball so much. (My son and I both do it, but me way more often lol). My coach has helped me with this, but any tips and tricks you can share for us and the mass audience is super appreciated. Oh and you can cover how awesome our trickshots are if you like 😂😬
Close off and lower the trail shoulder and arm to the target line to promote more in to out club path, and most importantly try not to fall in love with karol 😍
I have heard "variation" of technique teaches. And feel vs real implies that we can be tricked by what we are feeling. For anyone with the facts of this lesson, would it have been helpful to teach her to turn her shoulders even further right, see a stronger draw, and have that exaggeration teach her. This might enable her to experiment with shoulder alignment at home, going from one extreme to another, developing control of that element, and then settling in on the correct position and correct feel?
@@meandmygolf. Thank you. I personally have zero issue(s) if I am working on setup on a driving range and aligning myself correctly but, when I take away the alignment rods etc., my wonky vision can take over. So, I developed a pre shot routine that gets me into the “correct“ setup for every shot. I repeat the often copied Jack Nicklaus technique of aiming using a spot in front of the ball that is in direct line to the target in the distance and then aligning all the appropriate body parts to it. This usually gives me the best opportunity to striking the ball as well as possible. The only thing that I do not do is to look at the target in the distance once I’m in my stance. As I said earlier, my eyes give me the wrong message if I tilt my head along my shoulder line. Weird but it works….for me.
There wasn't really a whole lot to fix with her set up, swing, etc.. I would rather like to see you fix a high handicapper's inconsistent swing to where consistency would be achieved. That would be much more of interest to me as a high handicap golfer.
Her last shot that drove straight @6:00 her right elbow was still tucked then your end example clip @6:58 was it giving her more space😂. Which ones right when she just drove straight with her tucked elbow 😂
These lads can fix any swing! Have you taken lessons? Just curious because I used to hit OB quite a bit, after lessons with our coach I (dad on our channel) was able to do much better and hit in bounds way more often. To the point I shot a 78 during a golf tournament with zero balls OB.
@@Sleepless222 understandable. Maybe not the best coach for you. Sucks to spend money to not get better, sorry that was your experience. I hit worse for a little bit during my first lesson, but noticed a better and more consistent contact later during the hour and afterwards. But my first lesson was only on my grip and the way I was hitting was wrong, what my body was doing etc, and how the proper grip would greatly help that. I hope you find a better coach and give it another try.
@@davidc5553 lol. I think that depends on the rough you play from. Some of the rough in Texas is a joke and not a big deal. Some of it is super thick, and might snap your wrist if you don’t swing properly and with enough power.

Good Information and kept my attention.😊
Great Video- spot on - good player , bad set up - close the turns, make it easier to get the hands deeper and shallow the
club in the down swing. A+
Incredible coaching. Thanks for this session
Glad you enjoyed it!
I will watch ANYTHING with Karol Priscilla in it!!!!!!!

Mid 70's for Karol is coming 100%. Hope you enjoyed it.
You guys make it look so bloody easy. Great shape on those shots.
Amazing content guys, will this setup minus the tilt and ball position help with my iron swing to try and reduce my negative swing path number. Cheers

I would not be able to hit it straight if I was playing with her ! Top form !

this was good. Tried it today and best game in a long time - +3 (75) 40 stab pts. Shame I bogeyed the last two holes

Very good from Australia. Forgot about the shoulders. Things are a lot better now..
