the GMT800 02 -06 escalades are tough cars i just got some much needed services done on mine today, radiator replaced, transmission cooler lines, engine oil cooler, oil pan gasket and control arms and tie rods etc etc, it was far neglected from the previous owner since he was an old retired Aerospace engineer. now my truck is far more bullet proof than in its previous condition.. All people need to do is take care of the normal wear n tear maintenance and the truck will thank you in return. I got the 6.0 AWD model. I love this truck, kudo to you doing your own work on yours brother
The truck had definitely been good to me. After all the work that was done to yours, I hope yours will be good to you also. Thanks for watching and commenting 😎
I own a 2004 Escalade EXT 6.0. And I'm attempting to change my radiator now. I wish you went more in-depth on removing those lines to the radiator. Those lines are giving me a damn fit.
Pull the plastic sleeve back and just pull that little metal clip out with a pick or a small flat head and the lines should pop out. Just make sure your new radiator has the metal clip on it or don't lose the ones that you take off
That ish crazy I love all these new cars but I'm patient enough to wait 3-6 years and get for 60% off...these cars now are cheaply made and break like crazy, now all computers inside need geek squad to turn oil light off.....I love 2022 escalade V and just basic one, Corvette c8, Lexus LS 500, maybe would do 911
@@motivatedbydesigns I have a ext too my dream truck loved them since 2002 she been showing off electric gremlins then radiator leak all in 1 week almost got divorce ..2022 yes but not that sticker and mark up base model $84,000 but my area $115-125,000 average.. and gm losing me with lifter issues on brand new trucks
I am with you. A little car payment every month is painful let alone &1,200. Since I plan to keep my 04 Escalade for many more years I will spend a few more dollars and get a aluminum rad. Rock Auto has one for $185 and it comes with a 12 month warranty. Thanks for the video.
Update my order from rocks auto arrived today but I’m confused my older radiator has four connections on it along with the hoses but this new one only has two my question is can I still use this one or should I return the new one
Tad late on this post. I feel just what you are saying on new truck prices. I won’t do it. Get this. I had a 2001 Dodge Ram. I got it in 01 from the dealer with 20k on it. A sale guy was using it. 2017 I got the new truck blues. I crunch numbers an saw the payments. Ohh no. I sunk 3500.00 in my truck, all fluids, brakes, exhaust, windshield and stereo....... Happy as can be. Until I met this older guy he had a 2004 Pearl White Cadillac Escalade EXT. Sunroof, custom rims and grill. I am not into Cadillac like that, I had one they are nice. When they get old they get old. Well the kicker is he had 34k original miles not a door ding or cracked seat. Now I got 2 old a$$ trucks!!😕
Please don't hold me to it but I would think you're gonna have to take those off if you're replacing your radiator.... However they may come out with the radiator if you just unplug the wiring harness.. I hope that help good luck. If you remember let me know how you made out
I have a ss silverado. I installed the radiator and now I’m leaking trans fluid but not from the lines . But I noticed that where you install the round mounting gaskets at the bottom where the gasket mounts. That is cracked and idk if that’s it or what
You definitely should may sure your lines are all the way in. Then I would suggest you clean everything up real good so you can see where it's leaking from.
All together, the the new radiator spit open from the plastic, rock auto would not take it back, so now I had to buy another radiator to put in, don't want 2 pay 2 put in again. What should I do?
It's a hard question for me to answer because if it's me I would just fix it myself. I don't think it's a hard job to do but I've also been doing mechanic work for a lot of years now.

Good choice, there's no way 1200 is crazy...
Same problem wit a new car or not, I paid to have a new radiator put I then the water pump went,I then paid for that($450

How long does this job take?
I would say roughly 2 hours experience pending
@@motivatedbydesigns you didn’t need to take the fans off?
No I didn't need to take the fans off. You will need to remove the fan shroud.
I drive for living but I will never suggest anyone $1200 monthly payment for truck
Agreed.. thanks for watching and commenting
Nope. Ain’t doing no $1200 payment.
