This is another great presentation. Celebration is probably my favorite Sierra Nevada beer. Ken Grossman is so full of knowledge and innovation that it's always great to hear him talking about beer and brewing. Hop timing is critical for different flavors. It's sad that homebrewers and small craft brewers don't really have much choice about what they get. Usually, the flavors are fairly consistent. Not always, though.
As I've spent more and more time on Celebration Ale, I'm beginning to understand it has to be one of the best beers in the world, during it's brief availability. Everything is the freshest possible and they spend a year preparing for the short brewing season. Remember, they use the hops that are available at that moment and year. All plants vary from year to year, so variation is inevitable. I agree, Celebration is one awesome beer!
