This siren replaced a thunderbolt 1003 in the early 2000s, sometime im between 2005-2007. the tbolt was installed in 1973 and was painted red, but was taken down some time and refurbished to be white. The siren alerted fire fighters up until around 2002 when the siren started facing mechanical issues that were not repairable, leading to the replacement of the siren a few years later.
@@sirenmaster1735we have a few in ny, theres this one, one in arcade, a system of them somewhere, one in elizabethtown, and some others i believe. (also dont mind me replying to a 2 year old comment)
thanks for recording this! i visited this earlier this year and i’ve always wanted to know what it sounds like and what signal it uses for fire calls!

Awesome!!
why do some states have their sirens run for fire calls?
Fast wail sounds so good on 2001’s
How many trucks responded and what were they
Kyle Whetstone to be honest the only thing I saw before I left was a ladder truck Responding
Isn’t this behind the station?
CarsAndSirens1003A yes
You didn’t expect it. Just like Orient’s screamer S-5 scared me back in January 2022 when it went off early before 12:00
I still have that video on my iPad
👍
I heard fire trucks 🚒 in the background
Never knew we had 2001’s in New York. Fast wail
