We had two of the beasts in Mojave, CA many years ago along with street corner fire alarm boxes. The number of blasts from the horn matched up to a street corner, so you knew where to go. The horn blasts ran a 4-cycle (the signal repeated 4 times), and by the 3rd or 4th cycle, they were running low on air. It was a wonderful time.
