Your dress looks lovely on you, Carol! When your belt arrives, I believe you may change your mind and like the ensemble better. If not, it’s a good experiment in what you like and what you don’t. The fabric is really pretty. The Lago tank is a basic in my wardrobe. 😊
Hi Lynn! I'm glad you have a bunch of Lago tanks, because I have so many too. My belt arrived and it makes the dress look better, but I ended up wearing it just as is. I thought it was funny because the day I wore it to work we celebrated my bosses birthday with cake and we decorated the breakroom. So in a way, it was a dress I wore to a birthday party - lol!
the dress looks absolutely perfect on you.. it was a great choice of a pattern to fabric. Women need to wear more dresses...they empower and uplift our spirits of feminity.
I totally agree! Thank you, Bonnie. I started wearing dresses a few years ago because they're easier to fit than pants when sewing and now I really enjoy wearing them.
The dress is pretty. You love the fabric so, if you find you are not wearing it much, you can cut it off and make a tunic top. Enjoy your holidays! 👗 Bernadette
I love the dress on you. It's very different from the other things I've seen you in, but it's really lovely. I vote you should make a second one as well. Thinking about summer dresses, you made a dress quite a while back that i thought looked particularly good on you also. It was a Love Notions pattern. I believe it is called a Summer Tank dress. You made the long version. It was so flattering on you. It popped in my mind when you were mentioning the pattern you have there didn't appear to have much shape. The Summer Tank dress had such a flattering shape on you. Maybe try the shorter one too.
Thanks Joann! Yes, I really like the Love Notions dress I made. Unfortunately, I don't wear it much because it's so long and heavy as a maxi dress. It's actually in my pile to shorted to a tea length dress; and now that you've mentioned it, I think I'll move it up on my list!
@@pollysews oh yes do. It's a shame to not be wearing that one. I think that's one of the most flattering things that you've made. I don't know whether I commented at the time or not, but it did make a strong impression on me. Obviously, that's why I still remember it.
I agree with the others that your dress looks really nice on you. It doesn’t look childish, IMO. However, what matters is how you feel about it, of course. I also think the sleeve length suits you well.
Can't believe you referenced "My Cousin Vinny!" My husband and I just watched it - again - two nights ago - what are the chances?!? Such a fun movie. Anyway, I think the dress is very, very pretty on you - it looks fresh and summery and I hope you get used to it, see it with new eyes or someone else's eyes, because it's more than fine!!!
Hi Mary! What are the odds that you just watched "My Cousin Vinny"!! It's a cute movie - and now I want to watch it again. Preferably with popcorn - lol. Thank you for the compliments on my dress. I actually wore it to work last week and it was fine. Ironically, it was my bosses birthday and we always have a cake and decorate for someone's birthday, so technically, I did wear it to a birthday party!!!
Sometimes w we're our worst critic. Actually you look Beautiful. P.S. It's okay to feel like a six year old sometimes! Keep up the good work! Also, your fabrics are Beautiful.
Thank you, Christine. I've had a couple of comments that said the dress looked good. So I'm going to have to give it another look through more open minded eyes. I appreciate your comment - it's making me believe in myself a little more!
I think the is fabric is nice and bright the dress looks good for spring and summer
Thank you, Vicki. I bought a belt to go with it and it should arrive next week. I'm hoping it looks good with the dress!

No, no no the dress does not look childlike. It’s actually very lovely on you. Enjoy wearing it on the hot days of summer.

You look fabulous. It doesn’t look too youthful.
Thank you Stella. I really respect your opinion.
