First of all, I love your videos. Thank you for doing them. I have made McCall's 8513 once and I am making it again this week. This jumpsuit is really flattering and very easy to sew. Try it.
That jumpsuit with the color block had captured my eye too. Sadly the DMV JoJos aren’t stocking summers (and one I was at has dipped in quality again).
As someone who wore jumpsuits in the 80s. I thought thus was a trend that I was not going to jump on. However, the two jumpsuits might change my mind. Yes I would love a sew along for the first jump suit.
Okay now can we talk about version A for McCalls #M8505 would be perfect for those of us who live in Hot 🌴 environments! I would use a wooden O-ring and that vintage 70’s Laura Ashley pattern is so cute 💕 I would make version C
It would be! A wooden O ring would be so good. I really see myself making this Laura Ashley pattern too. My cousin was wearing a dress similar to it and I screenshot it to make last month.
I have never even tried to follow a pattern but you have me desperately wanting to get your third link and cook it up with a bunch of different quilting cottons I recently inherited!
I like m8507. But I have a knit dress with the double row of elastic under the bust and it just bubbles and rides up on my top belly. 😂I guess I could take the elastic out and make it bigger to avoid that. And in a light cotton or linen it would look very pretty. I like your idea of a gauze. I’m maybe 5’2” so i would probably make the shorter length. 😉
Great video. Thanks for the tip regarding base stitching to try out vs muslin. I don’t like doing them unless I’m going to actually use it. I have not heard or thought of basing it first
Wait, mccall's makes new patterns? I figured the main 4 (5?) just made a bunch of them and never add to it. I might search more into those patterns, but the forms tend to be too simple for me. I need to go through your pattern drop videos to find indie pattern companies because I can only ever remember Made for Mermaids. Although I probably need to get caught up a little on non sewing projects first. 10:45 Clear elastic at the seems? I've never heard of this technique 👀. Do you have a video where you show this?
They do!!!! I’m going to be publishing a video that includes the indie patterns today so I got you! Made for Mermaids is a great brand to remember too-I design for them as well 😉😉😉 I don’t but I can make one!
Ok. So Raven made this caftan and while I said that I wouldn’t make it, I think I have to because hers is sooooooo cute.
I saw that, too!

Oh man I don’t really like modern patterns but some of these are CUTE
I blame you and Serena for now wanting to wear vintage patterns.
My weekly struggle is deciding to keep making my vintage staples or start making these modern designs 😅

I’m doubtful mine will get it too but I’m ordering online.
Loving 8507 for a cute dress that's easy to make. Definitely getting the PDF during the current sale. Instant gratification!
Come on instant gratification!!! I’ve been trying to use the tissue and I don’t love it so I’m just going to use the PDF too.
I absolutely love! love! love! M8503
It’s so good!

@rochelle.handmade.designs you know I’m a PDF girlie
@@AaronicaBColeCo how crazy was that question. I've been going off root to not have to deal with filing paper patterns.

Thank you! Happy that tip helps!
The caftan, two tone pjs, and Florence dress is leaning towards scrap buster projects a bit and I'm not mad at it.
