Major key differences that Sport has and LX doesn't which were missed on the video: leather wrapped steering wheel, keyless proximity entry, blind spot monitoring system... plus mentioned in the video bigger wheels and heated seats. In my opinion this more than justifies the $1.6K price difference
I bought a 24 EXL HRV with blind spot. I wanted a new accord EX but the car insurance would have been 445 more over 6 months than my 20 Fit EX I was trading. A civic would have been 440 more over 6 months on insurance. The HRV was 235 more over 6 months. That’s what sealed my decision. Car insurance is horrible now. My Fit was 330 a month. I had 8200 equity, put 2K down. I paid MSRP 29K. No add ons or mark ups. I told 4 Honda dealers f you that were over charging. So far no issues. I wish the mpg was better. But I work at home and don’t drive much anymore. My car was the show room car the last one the dealer had. They sold 2 more the same day and were out of inventory when I left. These are hard to find. Mine is Milano red with black interior. My HRV payment is 342.
Nice demonstration. HR-Vs are a very nice, reliable, and with a simple engine, probably the last of its kind as opposed to other competitors with Turbo engines that wear out a lot faster, or with complex AWD traction, or Hybrids like the Prius with a core battery that costs $8,000 to replace and an electronic brake booster pump that costs $4,000 to replace, or high compression engines such as Mazda's that require frequent and expensive maintenance, with repairs that not even Mazda's mechanics know how to do. I was considering buying a Mazda CX-5 or CX-30 when I learned they have high compression gasoline engines that were designed for diesel fuel, and that due to the high compression, it scores the cylinders as early as 12K miles and accumulate lots of carbon in the valves. Then I thought about Toyota but their new engines also turned out to be more expensive, complex, hybrid, and unreliable, and most Toyota dealers do not honor warranties anymore and their mechanics are disgruntled car saboteurs. I am going to buy me an HR-V as soon as possible before they disappear or go higher in price. Thank you for your video.
Is this car really that slow? I keep seeing people complain about it. I test drove it and it didn’t seem that slow to me. The thing is that I never test drove it at full speed 60mph on the highway. I had planned to buy it today in the EX-L edition but if it’s truly that slow, then i think I’ll get a different car.
@@VagabondBuilds I agree. I ended up buying the 2024 EX-L in Crystal Black Pearl. I haven’t had any issues with driving it on the highway or on the street, it doesn’t make a vibrating noise like other people said, it drives fast, and the ride is smooth.
@@MzDeAndraJhene i have the 2024 HRV Sport and I really don't see the issue with the speed and power it is totally fine for me. Love the AWD in the snow feels like quality all over and beneath my foot.
@@KatarinaP-u6r I don’t see the issue people are talking about either. I ended up getting the EX-L version of the car and have had no issues with the speed and I agree about the AWD. The AWD is definitely nice. The car drives fast to me. I have to slow it down a lot because sometimes it drives too fast.
Just remember this: most of your savings will go to the HRV tanks, hope that answers a lot since I own the sport one since 2023. God help us all. (I do love my HRV and get a lot of flirting)
I have (and love) a 2024 H-RV LX. It has remote start and it also has heated seats. I'm in Canada so maybe it's different in the US (I see they don't come with heated seats in LX)
I got the HR-V sport, and it is good. I just wish it had satellite for my XM rideo and back seat USB ports and air fan.. but car is a car.. and honda cars are really good !
Videos incredibly helpful. I'm in the market for a car after driving a tiny little Corolla for 25 years. I'm just looking for something that I can handle and park and get in and out of small spaces but not too small. Great video.
I wish care makers would go back to the days of true customization. where you can add and delete features. and alot more color choices. instead of these pre made . this is what you get
Both of these HR-V trim levels feature the same powertrain and both of them have cloth seats.

Nice! I totally agree with you. It’s worth the 1.6k extra honestly.

I think it enough for an entry level car that is very reliable

HRV tanks?
Hi sir, the honda 2024 hrv lx is that remote start?.. if not, it is possible we can install a device for a remote start..
A select trim has it and I believe it is the EXL trim that has the remote start. Literally for an extra 1600$ you are getting way more tech.
@VagabondBuilds the one I bought HRV LX 2024 2WD, it will be delivered in February, I don't even know that it is not a remote start..
I have (and love) a 2024 H-RV LX. It has remote start and it also has heated seats. I'm in Canada so maybe it's different in the US (I see they don't come with heated seats in LX)
No remote start or heated seats on LX in US.
Yes it dose

Nice!! Yea, sometimes we want the whole package but they don’t offer certain things in our price range.
Engine is underpowered. It needs the 1.5L Turbo to be competitive with all the other similar vehicles. The new Civic like interior is top notch.
The engine is reliable. Lack of power but I will say it’s reliable with no turbo system
It is more than sufficent.
Whats the price with only FWD???
Base entry level price would be around 25k
We love our 24 Lx. Sport is nice, but couldn't justify the extra $2,500.
Oh okay. I like the bells and whistles myself.
Can I get a moonroof with leather seats in the hrv exl?
Yes.
touch start? remote start?
On the EXL trim
Check out the hrv and zrv and the Hybrid hrv in the Uk... so much nicer
Why more nice?
Doesnt sport have a differential
Ummm… what do you mean??
In Canada lxb is fwd, sport model is awd

Honestly this is great 👍🏼 glad we can be of help to you!
Mazda CX-30 is worth looking at.
3:45 yup, i was looking for that blinker light on my base model 2024 HR-V LX-B and i couldnt find it lol
Oh okay.
Great review between the two trims. Thanks.
Glad we can help!! Appreciate the interaction
I didn't hear you mention that the HR-V Sport has tinted windows verses the HR-V LX which doesn't.
Well because that is an option the dealer puts on
Sport has auto start, 19 inch wheels, black gloss
Thanks for the info!
The wheels on the LX are much nicer than on the Sport.
I think it comes down to preference overall. You get what you like.
24 volt ?? Not so...

Well just in the hrv but there are more options in other models.
