My friend with CF is in the hospital too, she just got her double lung transplant and is doing great. Praying for you Mary!

Be thinking of you when you go into hospital. I worked at a hospital on Med/Surg so I see a lot of what you both go through. It is so wonderful you have each other. I look forward to seeing you every day. Cheesecake is my favorite.

My dad used to work at Ball & they make all sorts of containers! The ones I can remember right now are the air wick sprays, Pam cooking sprays, Lysol, stuff like that 😊 I'm so proud of you for overcoming your nervousness about being admitted & dealing with the IV abx side effects & the possibility of a sinus surgery, etc. You are truly an inspiration to me to just take the bad with the good & be thankful for the "little" things. For example, I was able to go see Finding Dory with my 3 year old cousin Parker AND I walked instead of using my wheelchair (which in hindsight was a terrible idea since I'm in so much pain today)! Thank you for giving someone to model my attitude & lookout on life after. Btw, if you could keep me in your prayers for this coming week, Monday I have to go for a 2 1/2 hr long MRI & I have a really hard time with those as they cause me a lot of pain & trouble breathing.And I have another dr appt and my sisters grad party this week so I hope I have enough spoons!

Mary, you've been there, done that & I believe it's going to be a lot easier & faster than before. I say based on recurring treatments my late husband & I have gone through (yes, different issues, but just as serious & scary). You can do it!
It's important, caring for yourself, and it sounds really good to get ALL THAT DONE right where you can see everyone! This sounds like when you get OUT of the hospital, it will be wonderful to have that out of the way.....also I hate tests.... hate hate hate hate. But looking forward to cheering along with everyone else through this hospital stay. Peter thank you! I think most of us wish we could be there to visit and help out, but you do it for all of us. I know with Mary feeling "weird" it's always helpful to have someone NOT weird... helping keep things straight

That really IS awesome, being such a big part of family life. All those moms and grandmas in the kitchen, cooking and canning, making meals and memories for their families.
When I was a kid back in the late 60's, early 70's, my memory of Ball was going with my mom to the Ball factory in....hmmmm, El Monte? Temple City? Somewhere in that area. She'd take our glass jars for recycling.
Recycling is a lot easier now. :-)

Mary if you end up having sinus surgery just wanted to say goodluck. I just had my 23rd sinus surgery this past Thursday. Just hit the 2 week mark in the hospital. I hope your hospital stay isn't too long. I enjoy watching your guys vlog keeps me entertained.

I just love u two and the Spirit of the Lord that surrounds you.
Bactrim and cipro are definitely a sun avoiding combo. Was on the same combo 2 summers ago and missed sun screen on a strip of my chest and ended up with a bad 2nd degree sun burn almost was admitted to the burn unit and barely avoided a skin graft. Hope your hospital admission goes well and helps give you at least a little relief.

Nervous belly is absolutely real! I am sending you best wishes regarding the possible sinus surgery. It is no fun at all, even without the additional concerns that you have. I had sinus surgery twice, and I sure remember both recovery periods. Of the two, the easier recovery was with cryosurgery. You can ask if that is an option in your case, as opposed to a traditional procedure. It might make your recovery somewhat smoother if it is. I remember you in prayer, Mary, along with Peter and Ollie.

Have you guys ever tried BBQ corn on the grill? You spread BBQ sauce all over the ear of corn, wrap it up in foil, and grill it for a few minutes. It is sooooo good!!

since your dog has the opportunity to enjoy so much outside time especially around water you may want to purchase some high spf sunscreen for his nose. wish I had done so for my dear Aussie at a young age. he now has cancer on his nose. my vet recommends the kind you would use for a baby.

I am praying for your upcoming inpatient visit Mary! I'm praying that the Lord will cover you with a peace that passes all understanding. Even more so this time! I get nervous belly before every surgery, it's awful! I can say that I can't do anything without the Lord leading the way. While you already know how sinus surgery feels, I'm praying that the recovery is so much nicer than the last time! :). ((Hugs)) to you! And prayers will continue!

Bless your heart! Sinus surgery is no joke-- I've had 2 C-sections, a spinal fusion (with instrumentation), several oral surgeries, but nothing compared to the recovery from sinus surgery. It's tougher than you'd think! Praying for you all as you begin this process. (Sorry, I'm a few days behind on the vlogs!)
My mom had sinus surgery, a back fusion and others...she looked most miserable after sinus surgery

I am also getting admitted monday, i went to my clinic appointment friday and me and my doctor decided it would be best for me. I havent had IV antibiotics in about 8 months so i am due. I hope everything goes well for you mary!!

While she was stabbing me with the needle I thought of your little song "i ain't got no needle in my chest" even though I was getting one in my chest. Lol just wanted to let you know even though I was in pain you still managed to make me laugh :) hope everything is going well in the hospital for you!!!💜

i feel you mary. As i told you before, i dont have CF but i do have heart problems. and everytime i have to go in for admission its really scary. ive just gotten out a few days ago so i am currently home now and im allowed to fly back home next weekend which im really excited about because my parents and i werent sure if i was going to be able to fly because the flight will be a long one and ive just gotten off breathing treatments. but we were just told as of yesterday than i am allowed to go. we just have to check in with my doctor back home when we get there. and thats good because i already have an appointment set up for all the testing that i have to do every time. im always here for you mary if you need someone to talk to.
I thought of you today as I had a coughing spell in the grocery store. will be praying that things go well.
Mary ,I understand the weird feeling , about 6m ago zoom of my meds changed and the dosage increased and I started feeling weird and now it's an everyday thing so I completely understand , and now I have to go sweet talk my husband to go get cheesecake !!!!!
