They stole the rape plot from this movie from something bad that happened in a Mennonite community, then made it worse? That's some next level slime shit.
Are they really trying to get rid of sexism tho? Because as far as I remember, *that* one woman (you know if you know), who is one of the OG feminists, was saying that black men are animals and should be hunted down (because, by her words, they only think about graping white women), and that white men should sacrifice themselves to do that.
What's most baffling to me is that this movie frames misogyny as a childcare issue, and the product of social conditions created by men, when women perform most childcare under patriarchy.
Notice the weasel-wording they use in the title. By titling the film "Women Talking", if you say "I think 'Women Talking' sends a horrible message", they can say "YOU THINK WOMEN TALKING IS A HORRIBLE MESSAGE?" or something along those lines, similar to disagreeing with something said by BLM they'll say "you disagree with Black Lives Matter, *you literally think black lives don't matter!"* Or Antifa claiming everyonewho disagrees with them is a fascist... honestly it's so fucking scummy, people shouldn't be able to patent a sentiment.
"they'll crush him like a soda can" I'm deder than when I first heard of this movie. Now for the serious part: the worst part of the Toxic Fem genre (Handmaid's Tale, She Said, Women Talking, She-Hulk, and Velma) is its creators can't find this kind of oppression in the real world, and have to create fantasy worlds to find it.
In so many words: They basically want to act like rebels fighting this oppressive elitist establishment, when in reality they're apart of the system they claim to hate. To them, oppression is being told no for the first time.
Oh my god not this movie. This is basically the batwoman show if they did a big compilation of all the winks at the camera or 'girlboss' momemts of owning the MEN

Voting should be tied to those who are going to be drafted in the war that poor voting will cause. It's very simple if you will fight then you can vote if you won't then you can't.
You could do a movie called Men Talking and it could quite easily exclude any mention of women and be grounded on realism. Naturally, these women would find it sexist and misogynist for excluding them.
so the movie is based on a novel which was based on a true story which is hilariously in-line with modern feminism to have a purely women led movie, when boys were also apparently taken advantage of
Brilliant new discussion video & review, of film Women Talking. Tara. with great added humor & usage of scenes from the game Shenmue. I personally dont want to watch this film. I cant even believe its directed by the actress Sarah Polley, who played Sally in one of my all time favourite films. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. I tried to watch Handmaid's Tale & I couldn't because it was terrible. if you thought this film was bad. I watched a documentary film, last year. called Brainwashed: Sex, Camera, Power. its basically women complaining about female nudity for under two hours. yes, its that bad. :)
I've noticed recently more and more people criticising girls that are a being a bit different, calling them pick me and "not like other girls" But if a woman just likes those things and acknowledges it's unusual it's not a problem unless she attacks girls for liking girlish stuff I've seen way too many people assume insecurity over it
I was about 15 minutes in and thought I should leave a comment stating: "I guarantee that, somewhere, someone is complaining about the lack of trans representation" .. ...I am now 26 minutes in and realise this comment wasn't necessary because this film is so nonsensical.
It is fine. The pendulum is swinging the other way. Those who will be against this kind of movie will be, and those who never will change we don’t have to worry about, because they never would have ever changed anyway.
WHO thought it was a good idea to call a movie “Women Talking”? Literally nobody wants to watch an entire movie of women talking. I (a normal human adult person who happens to be a woman) did see the ads/trailers for this movie, and it looked even WORSE than the title made it seem. I repeat, NOBODY wants to watch this movie. Nobody saw this movie who wasn’t required to by virtue of being “critic” or a content creator such as this channel (thank you for your service, ProcrastiTara). Anyway, I am looking forward to the sequel, “Women in Burqas Talking”, set in Patriarkabad, a remote oppressive ultra-religious village in Afghanistan. Just kidding, that movie would never get made.
This film and the book feel like the author is exploiting real trauma. The author comes from a Mennonite background (not the one the story is based on) and is using other women's trauma to vent about it and "society". It's disrespectful because it's not about the women who actually suffered, it's about WOMEN who want to suffer. They want to be told that the world wasn't built for them and needs to be destroyed so THEY can be the ones to fix it.

What the Christ is wrong with these people…?????
Yay art b-roll :D
Voting should be tied to those who are going to be drafted in the war that poor voting will cause. It's very simple if you will fight then you can vote if you won't then you can't.
You could do a movie called Men Talking and it could quite easily exclude any mention of women and be grounded on realism. Naturally, these women would find it sexist and misogynist for excluding them.
so the movie is based on a novel which was based on a true story
which is hilariously in-line with modern feminism to have a purely women led movie, when boys were also apparently taken advantage of
Brilliant new discussion video & review, of film Women Talking. Tara. with great added humor & usage of scenes from the game Shenmue. :)
Always a great day when you upload 🎉
I've noticed recently more and more people criticising girls that are a being a bit different, calling them pick me and "not like other girls"
But if a woman just likes those things and acknowledges it's unusual it's not a problem unless she attacks girls for liking girlish stuff
I've seen way too many people assume insecurity over it
Im only a few moments in...Is it real? Can I move to the moon?
*points at wish for death island* that’s literally you
Wake me up inside!
You should critique the horrible evil dead rise movie
This movie seems one-dimensional as heck.
Not gonna lie, kirby has the best shenanigans music ever
Oh this is something new
I was about 15 minutes in and thought I should leave a comment stating: "I guarantee that, somewhere, someone is complaining about the lack of trans representation"
..
...I am now 26 minutes in and realise this comment wasn't necessary because this film is so nonsensical.
this movie sounds like something JK Rowling would write.
It is fine. The pendulum is swinging the other way. Those who will be against this kind of movie will be, and those who never will change we don’t have to worry about, because they never would have ever changed anyway.
Wasnt pearl the one that took a homeless man in and started dating him but once he got back on his feet he left her for another woman?
This is why I love you.
