    I know I'm leaving a lot of comments, but the comment you made on criminals being able to "punish the people calling them out" and not making reporting worth it is an observed thing by Solzhenitsyn in the soviet law system. It's called "anarcho-tyranny" wherein criminals are placed above the common man, because the criminal is assumed to "Couldn't have known better" and so therefore the punishment for their crimes is essentially negligible. Contrast that with the citizen warning of problems, the citizen knows better so he is to behave better than the criminal and be treated the same. You can see it manifest in how complacent and domesticated people are, and how often some criminals of certain characteristics are venerated by the progressives/progressive stack. You're not alone in noticing this, it's a product of progressivism and it's malingeringly cancerous.

Should she beg and scrape for tips as a waitress at some greasy spoon every night, losing time with her kid and money she can't afford to a babysitter? Or should she do a couple of hour's work in front of a camera, make EXPONENTIALLY more money, and get to stay home with her child?

    I don't know who they are, but I 100% agree with the lunch thing. It does teach responsibility. You had a task you needed to complete, you didn't complete it, and now you're suffering the consequences. If your parent steps in and saves the day, you'll never learn your mistake and you'll keep repeating it. It might take them several times to get it, but they will eventually. Showing them that making mistakes has no consequences and that they can just get away with such behaviour is awful parenting.

    • @MewGirlZ
      @MewGirlZ Рік тому +5

      How much responsibility and independence can you expect from a six year old? At what point is a parent not responsible for making sure their child gets fed? I am genuinely curious.

    • @dawnriddler
      @dawnriddler Рік тому

      @@MewGirlZ She did make sure, the kid simply forgot to take her lunch. That's not on the mother. You need to raise kids to be independent and take care of themselves, babysitting them till they are adults isn't helpful. We'd usually get money for school lunch, but if we forgot the money, we wouldn't have what to eat, so you'd either save up or make sure you take the money in the morning. No parent is gonna drop what they are doing to come bring you money or lunch. That's on you, and it's only a few hours, you'll live. Next time, you won't forget. And this goes for anything you have to do, lunch is just an example. Saving your kid every time they make a mistake teaches them nothing. They'll grow up entitled and expecting everyone else but themselves to solve their issues.

    • @MewGirlZ
      @MewGirlZ Рік тому +4

      @@dawnriddler I disagree. At least as far as under 10 years old is concerned. Of course it wouldn't make sense to go out of the way to baby a teenager who should know better (I did that plenty of times and lived at that point), but even telling the teacher not to give your young child anything to eat because it's a natural consequence just doesn't sit right with me. Are you really trying to say that it would be bad parenting to put the food or money in a first grader's bag for them to make sure they can have something to eat at lunch?

    • @dawnriddler
      @dawnriddler Рік тому

      @@MewGirlZ It's not about the food. It's about the kid not completing her obligation. From the story we learned that it is the kid's job to pack her lunch. It's not something the mother does. And the kid forgot, so the consequences for that is not eating. I see nothing wrong with that. Same would be not letting the kid go out if they haven't finished their homework, or forgot to make their bed, tidy their room, or wtv else the parents told them to do. Bad parenting is not letting your child feel the consequences of their actions and constantly stepping in to save the day. Cause once you do that, the child learns nothing, and keeps repeating the behaviour cause they know mommy, daddy or whoever will step in. You are way focused on FOOD here, the point is they need to learn RESPONSIBILITY, no matter what the object is.

    • @MewGirlZ
      @MewGirlZ Рік тому +4

      @@dawnriddler I am focused on the AGE of the CHILD. You haven't once addressed what I've pointed out as the core issue here so I'll tell you: FOOD is not a RESPONSIBILITY for a SIX YEAR OLD to take care of. Putting your laundry in a hamper is. Putting toys away is. Maybe making your bed in the morning is. RESPONSIBILITIES SHOULD BE AGE APPROPRIATE. Thank you.
