- This is the newly released song from Scott Stapp's second upcoming solo album which is currently untitled. According to this blog ( scottstapp.wordpress.com/ ), this song and one other did not make the cut, thus they are now B-Sides that he released for his fans. It's a great song, so listen AND SPREAD THE WORD!

This by far is his best song. The pain in his songs. Mental health issues made him best song writer. No one knows pain unless you have gone threw. It's hell.
They don't make music like this anymore, heck my 6 year old keeps asking me to play it over and over!

Yeah me too. Love this hidden jem. Maybe because it's too "somber" and non-commercial. It could've been inclided as a bonus track.

Welp, it got reworked for Art Of Anarchy although personally, I like this version a hair more.

I remember how i got interested with his vocal talents. when MTV used to actually show music videos I saw Creed "With Arms wide open" wonderful song but its his talent at singing and putting his soul in his music why I like it so much. And this song reminds me of that. Great song a great voice and great performance

É uma pena no Brasil não ser tão conhecido o trabalho desse Homem (com "H" maiúsculo). Eu acho extremamente espetacular... Acompanhei sua carreira na banda Creed que foi sensacional também! E como sempre PERFEITO .

This song reminds me of the sobering feeling of losing something true... Coming from a guy who always loved Creed and switched to Alter bridge after the breakup, I think both Scott and Myles have incredible talent. Although, I feel that Scott and Mark have the best combination that is difficult to overcome, or surpass. I feel that the quality of a song should be given a label from the dynamics and heart put into a song rather than the person himself. I'm looking forward to music from both bands.

Más quando Creed voltou e tocou na minha cidade eu estava no Brasil, rsrs. Mas Alter Bridge vem pra cá em Abril, e tenho o meu ingresso. Vc mora em que parte do Brasil, eu ouvi que Creed vai tocar em São Paulo, talvez seja rumor. não sei.
There are parts of the lyrics that are in some of the new creed songs.. ....but either way...its pretty sick! im pumped for the rest of the album!
scott stapp surprised me with this, its actually good. altough it sounds like he used some of these lyrics on the creed song 'overcome.'

I love the solo music, but here's what I would do if I was Scott: I would combine my solo music into Creed. I mean, wouldn't that be more profitable? And wouldn't it be fucking awesome if Creed and Alter Bridge could not only co-exist, but combine into the greatest post grunge band the world has ever seen?

@greg0drummer0 This song kicks ass man. Shit is deep. Your right man he is one talented dude. His lyrics get all up in your head makes you think.
@epicrate31 they don't suck, and especially not because he reused one line (and only once.) The song is entirely different anyway, with a different tempo and meaning. Also, in my opinion, there are many "goog" things about Stapp and Creed, which kick some ass.
this pretty much sounds like a demo version of 'Overcome' which is on Creeds album 'Full Circle' .. a lot of similar lyrics.
All I'm thinking of is the insanely awesome potential of the song with tremonti in it..ah well.still..such a good tune

It was probably corporate commander's(record label) idea to cut the song. This is probably the longest song than any of the other new songs. Great song. Needs Tremonti on guitars to add a better solo.
To say this guitarist isn't well known and in guitar magazines, I thought that solo was pretty damn good
I'm not putting him down or anything. I just prefer Mark Tremonti's guitar work. At least this guitarist can produce some worthwhile riffs unlike a lot of other solo projects and bands out there trying to make a name for themselves.
This song isn't from Proof of Life session. It was recorded to the album Between Lust and Love, who should be released in 2008, but Wind-up said he must come back to studio and record some more song. Then Creed came back and he didn't release this album, unfortunately.

T Solo just heard the whole new A of A album. seems like I like the vocals better on this version. 6 years apart tho.... just my opinion.
TheUSNMA2 hmmm if you listen carfully, Scott voice is much better now, the tone is higher, and here Scott uses a bunch of pitch correction while in the AoA version is a clean voice
Toni CESAR You can thank Ron Bumblefoot Thal for that on the new AOA album, he also served as a producer for the album. He is an amazing Musician and Producer in my opinion.
I'm stoked for the new album. But I'm still kinda pissed that on august 8th 2008 I was running to every music store I knew, looking for a the album he promised would be released that day. His myspace page counted down the days until that day came, and the cd didn't come out. Everyone at F.Y.E. and best buy, thought I was crazy. But I'll forgive him someday. haha.

@alloutrockfan I agree Scott is a better lyricist than Vedder (although he's gotten better over the years) but I prefer Vedder's singing because I think he has a wider emotional vocal range, just look at Jeremy. & I also agree about Myles, if someone doesn't have anything worth saying, then it doesn't matter how they say it, u won't hear it. That's why I loved "What If", Scott really had something to say.
@greg0drummer0 These wouldn't be throwbacks from Creed. Mark Tremonti writes the Creed songs. Scott will just write lyrics and some vocal melodies.

And same about Scott. They are two completely different artists. Both equally incredible at what they do.

I fucking love this. It's been a year and I haven't been able to stop listening to it. Myles Kennedy a better songwriter than Scott Stapp? FUCK NO! Kennedy hasn't been able to put half the meaning into all of his songs that Scott was able to put in half an album. Quite frankly, Scott has 1000x the voice Myles does. Fuck range, it's all about tone. Scott is much more adept for rock than Myles is.
