I think Scott Stapp is a neat person for showing his vulnerabilities. I love that we can relate to his lyrics. Can't wait for more Creed or Stapp solo too. :)
There is a message in all of Creed's and Scott Stapp's music. If it wasn't for their music I wouldn't have made it through all I have had in my past Addiction and now I am dying and it helps me because I can relate to so much of their music.
Scott, Remember that God always brings us back to him once we know him. He is not finished with you yet, keep using the gift he has blessed you with. We are all just working our way back home. My prayers and heart is with you. Keyna Darling
creed i think is one of the bands that dont go crazy with lyrics. they make sense and easy to understand. makes a lot of fans that way. love them from the first time i heard them.
This guy is my idol minus alcohol and rock n roll.. my dad left me when I was 4. The one female who I met that wanted everything died last year my best friend died this year my church personally attacked me and always being alone.. this song is me...i seriously love him
Life can an will make you crazy when you get away from God! Love ya brother stapp!! You just keep the faith an stay strong an put on the full armor of God an watch the devil flee!!! 1st seek ye the kingdom of God an all things shall be added unto you!! For you cant serve God an momon....no man can serve two masters.....for you will love one; an hate the other.....love ya brother fight the good fight!!!
This is so far my favorite solo by him. He really needs his band back together to make it happen. Their harmony, melody together helped make such a great band. His lyrics are so heart felt and meaningful. They are very inspiring, for me at least. I wish there were people out here that knew they could measure up to the old creed so they could help him get back to the greatness he once was. God save his soul. Good thing he had his wife's support the whole time. I love how she handled the situation.
March 1devotional comes from 1 CO 15:58 NIV A career is something you choose; a calling is something you receive. A career is something you do for yourself; a calling is something you do for God. A career promises status, money, and power; a calling generally promises difficulty, suffering, and the opportunity to be used by God. A career may end with retirement and lots of toys; a calling doesn't end until you die. A career can be disrupted by any number of events, but God enables you to fulfill your calling even in the most difficult circumstances. For some people in Scripture obeying the call of God meant living in slavery, being captured and sent into exile, or being put to death. Their career trajectories didn't look promising, yet they fulfilled their calling in extraordinary ways...In the providence of God, the end of your career can be the beginning of your calling. SO whatever God has called you to do, the Bible says, "Give yourselves fully to the work...because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." This is quoted from the Daily Devotional: The Word for You Today from The Uprising Church. I was able to take this pamphlet for free from Community Pharmacy.
I love you Scott! I love that fact that you expose yourself rather than hiding! I have an issue with alcohol, love God, struggle to be perfect! I love your truthfulness....you are an inspiration!
Sister You are So True... I hope to One Day Emerge From My Battles, and Become Victorious! And Realize, when we are weak... We Know it , and GOD is Never Weak! We will avail... Sooner Or later...we Emerge..."Reborn", Uplifted and Scott is maybe, One of the First!
Thank y'all both! Oddley enough Mark, the same day that you posted your your comment, I had a seizure and was taken via ambulance and stayed in ICU for 4 days. I was severely dehydrayted and could hold nothng in my stomach...So, today I am thankful to say that I am sober 33 days today and it feels ssssoooooo good! God bless you both!
I'm an alcoholic. By the grace of God I'm alive and have been sober for over 3 years now. (July 17th 2011) But it took a long time to get there. And I still struggle with it so much. My uncle was an alcoholic, and when I was 17 years old he committed suicide. So I know it really is life or death. I don't know if I'll be able to stay sober forever. Some days it's really, really, hard. I just try to think about my uncle. I loved him so much. And I feel like the best way to show my love for him is to learn from what he went through. Stay strong! God bless you
Mark I am enjoying another day of sobriety TODAY. I stumbled yet again after my seizure episode. I was sober almost 4 months went back out and got clean again August 7th. Most days I am okay, I just have to stay home and know that for now I can't go places that serve or sell alcohol. All of my childhood friends drink so I can't go anywhere with anyone it seems because everyone is either drinking, nursing a hangover, talking about drinking or planning their closest gathering on Facebook and inviting me. It is hard but I have to keep reminding myself that I don't want to be there and drinking for me is NOT an option, ever!! Thanks for asking about me, now tell me how you are getting along. It does feel good to share with someone that really understands,,,,,
Carrie I am so excited to hear about your success in sobriety. I struggle at least 2-3 times a week. Sometimes more depending on what is going on. I have battled this addiction for over 2 decades and I am not about to give it full reign. I do fall but it does not take me long to get back up. Thanks to the mercy and grace of God. Thanks for sharing :-)
GOD Let Your Blessings And Protection, Words Continually Flow And Come To Scott Stapp, Creed And Artists In The World You Are Orchestrating And Fashioning Youre Heart And Handiwork In Them. Let them Come Forth With New & Fresh Real life Music! Real Soul Music! That Truly Tuches The heart And Soul Let A Psalms 32:7-Work Be Released And Activated In There Lives!
Thank you Scott ...its a brave person to admitt their personal struggles, but to come back so much stronger in life and faith.... It let's me know the same can happen to anyone of us in personal struggles...thank you again...
"I'm bound and wicked please untie my hands I'm a sinner who's living in a desperate land I wrestle with flesh made of blood and sand Just a little insane isn't that human"
Such a good if ya'll haven't read it buy it find it at your local library read it such a good book I have the privilege to have anxiety and panic bipolar disorders i have manic deppression i believe god wants me to use these to help others
"In Sinner's Creed, Scott shares his story for the first time-from his fundamentalist upbringing, the rise and fall of CREED, and his ongoing battle with addiction, the rediscovery of his faith, and the launch of his solo career. The result is a gripping memoir that is proof positive that God is always present in our lives, despite the colossal mess we sometimes make of them." Creed is no more people.
🥀🖤🥀Amazing Song! This is one of the best song's I've ever heard by Scott Stapp and Creed. Awesome vocals lyrics and music with so many ways to capture an audience with the meaning of it all🥀🖤🥀🤘
I should mention that Mark and Scott have already confirmed that there will be a Fifth Creed album but the recording process will be delayed so AB can tour to promote their 2013 album. No need for comparisons either because both bands are great in there own unique way. All members are super multi talented musicians, you have to be to take on so many projects like they all do and I look forward to many more years of Creed, AB, All of there solo albums.
I disagree with this statement... Scott has a lot of creativity in writing and as a singer, and has one of the strongest voices in the business, to this day, no one compares. When he wrote the great divide, it wasn't his best work, but this song is brilliant...
I’m a big Scott Stapp fan, and I love Creed’s music. I remember when I was 23 I went to one of their concerts in Michigan. Mind you, I’m an African American from Detroit. Well anyway, thru out the concert I had at least four different groups of people come up to me and ask me how much for drugs, and I was dressed pretty casual, just in case if anyone was wondering if I had on the stereotypical urban wear. One guy assured me that he wasn’t a cop, and I assured him that I wasn’t a drug dealer. I just thought of that anecdote as I was listening to this song. I found those experiences more funnier than offensive. It was a great concert and I had a great time. I literally cried when they performed with Arms Wide Open. Everyone had their lighters out and Scott poured his soul out. Nostalgia.
awesome, remember back on the last tour, He was so messed. back in 2003, so was sad!! Mark and the BAss player had to sing the leads! in chicago! broke up after Philadelphia!
I feel like you were drunk on that show so I didn't have to do it. Thank you Sir. God will honor your sacrifce. Just stay strong brother. Stay strong for us all. Signed Prodigal Son
Wonder what happen to you good on you i remember when you came to new Zealand when you were in creed still my fav band. Cool to hear your voices again.
i agree... He took choir as a kid... So you'd think he'd know more about singing than any of the so called "experts" the only experts are the ones who actually sing..
This man has a voice that is a gift from God, and his words are from his soul.
We all struggle with something in our lives Remember your never alone and God is always and loves us!.....
I really like this song. The words are powerful.
I think Scott Stapp is a neat person for showing his vulnerabilities. I love that we can relate to his lyrics. Can't wait for more Creed or Stapp solo too. :)

Malachi's House I do not think that Creed will make a come back because one of its members is being a jerk.
Wish the original Creed would reunite.
I love his voice and lyrics. I wish Creed would get back together, that band was/is incredible.
I love this song, exactly what I'm going through!
Creed Rocks and So does Scott, his message/lyrics are more than just words. His book is a great read also, thanks Scott!

Please never underestimate the power of prayer. It works in ways we may never understand.
