@@AaronTerenceHughes Aaron, you said at one time that you were obsessed with incense-based fragrances. Was there one that took your head off? I'm obsessed with them now, too. Currently working on one. Gucci: A Midnight Stroll was the one that did it for me.
I try to follow perfumers and not a specific perfume house. I've noticed when I follow a perfumer I'm typically fond of, I start to see similarities with specific perfumers from house to house but they are more-so "flankers" in my eyes. This is part of the reason why I have 7 of your fragrances!!! You have a specific DNA that's dark/resinous/mysterious....regardless of what it is. Please don't ever change what you're doing....it's fantastic!!

Personally I feel it’s one of the most beautiful amber fragrances I’ve ever smelled and I’ve smelled and own a great deal. Luxurious and opulent perfection that lasts and projects eternally.
Your reviews are always on point, I agree they hit a wall where the creativity isnt being pushed but just redone and there's only so many combinations you can do with the materials that makes the house of xerjoff "xerjoff"
He speaks highly of musk and in his previous videos, he does make it apparent that the musk's play a huge part in perfumes, and he has the keen nose to pluck them out, very talented gentlemen. Listening to Aaron compared to anyone else is a challenge, because Aaron is so dynamic and very well spoken; compared to Jeremy fragrance, Aaron is a Ferrari and Jeremy is a Hyundai Accent lol, Aaron masterfully and very respectably explains proper perfume reviews, in depth and to the point, Jeremy is a joke lol, Also, Robes08 is very close to Aaron.
@@jamesglandon3737 not the question i asked. Ive watched Aaron for a while. On occasion he details the musks used but not consistently. I use Aarons vids to learn.
I'm wearing this (without the musk that is suggested to layer), and I couldn't agree more; it is beautiful but flat. Which is why the addition of musk. However, it's a huge price (for me) for both to yield one scent experience. Aaron, please continue to produce these extraordinaryily helpful reviews and your own line.
It has extreme longevity on my skin, but not complex enough on its' own to merit the cost and not investing more for one scent experience. Thank you Aaron for your engagement.
I don't know why but sometimes I have mild reactions to cedarwood. Not always though. Maybe it's just a certain kind of cedarwood. Vanilla and amber together though is heaven. Sounds good.
Another great review, Aaron! I feel pretty much the same about this one. In terms of price, Amber Star is very dry and linear for my taste. Yes, it is recommended to blend it with Star Musk. But even then, the combination didn't blow me away. Btw congrats on your new German distributor. No more brexit tax for us, yay ✌😁

I know alot of people tell you to try this and that. But I believe "More than Words" from Xerjoff might pique your interest. It's a fruity rose oud that is arguably one of their longest lasting fragrances.
Loved the review! Wearing Erba Pura by Xerjoff right now. Truly a nuclear fruity fragrance which is very rare. There's a prominent strong aromachemical that I recognize from shampoo. Review on Xerjoff Nio would be interesting, people say it's one of the best natural bergamots ever!

Just received some of your excellent creations yesterday. I'm loving Boss Bastard and excellent review of another Xerjoff fragrance! Both Amber Star and Star Musk are 50ml. According to Xerjoff, you have to layer it with Star Musk
Totally agree with your analysis. Nice fragrance but there are so many exciting yet more affordable amber fragrances in the market (eg Kalemat Black, Ambre Precieux) that this one is not a recommendation in my opinion.
I believe that's real cedarwood, because you smelled it right away and the oils I played with are super heavy intense woody smoky, slightly dirty, like lumber.
I wanted to enjoy this video, but there aren't english subtitles also if you speak in english, that's a pity because without the text I don't manage to understand well what you say

Really would appreciate it as i trust your nose of all. Much Love ❤️
It is absolutely not a bargain, I'd say it is the most expensive Xerjoff fragrance. A small 50ml bottle for €650. Yes it is bundled with Star Musk, which in no way has 50% of value, I'll be generous here to give €150 for Star Musk, which leaves Amber Star €500. Amber Star is the star of the set, while Star Musk is it just a 'meh' cheap daytime short lived fragrance, only meant for layering
If I was a professional artist I don't think I would be satisfied to be known as the guy who is predictable and who "always creates the same things"...that to me seems like the antithesis of being an artist ...it's kind of an insult..artists are supposed to always be challenging themselves creatively...that's my opinion
Sometimes it's hard to choose which fragrances is the best for you or if you really want to own two or more fragrances that are too similar or that are doing a similar thing🤔 but on the other hand it's good if certain lines have some kind of "signature", where you can instantly know what to expect from the house/perfumer :) I think it kinda depends what the individual wants, maybe they want a collection of very different fragrance compositions or maybe they prefer to use a certain style of fragrance. Amazing review as always 👍👍👍
I think Sergio’s claim to fame is the market he’s after. Coming from a luxury automobile graphic design and art background, seems he got bored and wanted to pursue his real passion in fragrance. I won’t say i doubt his back story, but he claims to use the finest ingredients and glass and all that. I assume he’s just the creative director for the scents and designs. I wouldn’t pay $500+ for a bottle of anything. But when I seen Alexandria II on sale, I considered buying it around $235, but decided to pass and buy some ATH and Maison Margiela frags instead. 😉
That makes a lot of sense to me. I often wonder at what point do people think. What is in this to make it £500 a bottle. What is beyond the pretty bottle. I always get my work verified to prove it contains what it says it does.

@@daniell5740 yes they say you get 3 fragrances in the set- 2 individual ones, and 1 layering combo, but to be fair layering could be just a 'suggestion' for many other fragrances, there's no need to put them in the set without the chance to buy then separately. Amber Star is the star of this set. Star Musk - meh, it's an 'ok' daytime fragrance with not much body mass or longevity. I love Amber Star so much that I keep buying samples, but I won't spend €650 for a small 50ml bottle
They could charge €500 for the Amber alone or they could through in a cheaper musk and sell both at €650 to make it look less crazy when divided by half. That’s what they did.
