I think this is the most expensive fragrance I own and so happy to have it. Smells amazing. And I love the presentation. I find it unisex, I love wearing it as a man.
As a man I have no problem wearing this. I own it but strictly when I’m suited. It’s in my mind not a day to day frag. I can see how it’s so device for some and also that it can be perceived feminine but still I love it. I have a 50 ml that will probably last me a lifetime
Hi Aaron as always love all your reviews could I make a suggestion you should read a mini ebook using the same wording as your videos when you give your description about the natural and the synthetics
Another great review! ATH is my "thrust source" in order to get authentic perspectives on fragrances! In the review, I was a bit surprised because Aaron did spray to the left and was smelling on the right side 😊. Not sure, probably I'm wrong 🧐? Anyway, I strongly recommend ATH Fragrance because they are simply amazing!!
I have a sample of this. It smelt quite good but I wasn't blown away. When you factor in the high price it doesnt make my wishlist although I do admire the quality of the scent.
@zvikaso Thank you. Things have changed for me somewhat since I originally posted my comment. I now have a considerable Xerjoff collection, with most picked up heavily discounted.
I think Naxos is your favorite from this house. I really like your reviews of fragrances. I'm looking for another fragrance, and I believe I can not go wrong with Xerjoff. I own Naxos, more than words, and 40 Knots. All three are superior.
Wow I love Elle by YSL and to my nose they smell a bit similar with Coco M. I must try it now. Thanks for your review. But on the other hand I dislike tuberose note. Perhaps I just test in the shop. I also love Sun moon and starts by Karl Lagerfeld. If you happen to get this perfume from 90s I would be thrilled to listen to your review.
I would like to hear your thoughts on Coromandel from Chanel. Richwood was very much inspired by it but it's more refined and restrained in the blending, as you would expect from a Jacques Polge creation. I think you would find it less "headache inducing."
Hi Aaron, I dont think Ive seen any of your fragrances have cardamom. will you be working with that material, I see it in a lot of masculine fragrances. Also I've ordered Notorious, Supernova and Daddy, cant wait to try them out. Greetings from Slovenia 🦄
It’s included in Urban Fake. I think Aaron mentioned it’s not his absolute favorite note. Cardamon is a personal fav of mine (African leather, Hermes Voyage and Xerjoff Starlight are all favorites) but Aaron works with what he loves and that love shows in his work.
This is one that develops over time. Off the top you get more of the rose, then patchouli takes the cake, and smooth and rich sandalwood is the winner in the drydown
I Enjoy the reviews. Tony Iommi money special is the winner for me with Xerjoff. And Triumph of Bacchus by Argos is my yin to the yang with that one. Hint hint...
Love Xerjoff, they always make amazing scents. I don’t know if there’s a list of what fragrances you review next. However, I just got my hands on BDK Gris Charnel Extrait and think it would be right up your alley. Don’t think you’ve reviewed anything from that brand either.
Excellent review as always! Im addicted to your reviews and I think I’ve watched almost all of them. I’ve also made several blind buys on your recommendation that I love with ombré leather parfum being my favorite. Would love to see you break down Tuscan Leather Intense if you happen to get a hold of a sample - I don’t see any reviews from any perfumers yet and would quite enjoy your expert opinion.
Thank you for all of your great content, and willingness to use your KEEN senses for my benefit. I bought 2 full bottles of your houses fragrance to say thank you. (maxaroma)
@@profound369 no, because with Aaron purchasing them instead of receiving them for free, we get the most honest of a review. And that makes Aaron more of trustworthy reviewer in my book.
My discovery box just got here and so far I'm absolutely blown away with the few i've tried so far, I feel like I discovered a new dimension to perfume quality, I'm also overjoyed that they included a sample of Supernova as well. Thank you so much Aaron, I feel like I can get a sample of your passion for this medium of expression when I smell your work, I'm happy I blind bought a Luna 10ml too based off your description of it.
There has been a reformulation of Richwood back in 2019, and I think you might own the newer formulation - its definitely not the same as my bottle my first bottle. I noticed Xerjoff making a change to the recipe and instantly laid out a ton of money and bought a 100ml bottle from a stockist with old stock- best £500 I ever spent on a fragrance. I would never sell my bottle ...its going in my will and to be past down to my children when I die. I am sorry, but the new stuff is no good and not worth the eye watering price tag.
@@janetn9942 Because that's what a lot of brands are doing regardless of niche or designer. Whether you call it "copy", "dupe" or "inspiration" it doesn't matter. PDM's Kalan is a copy of BR540 from MFK, Percival is a copy of Fierce from A&F. Xerjoff's 40 Knots is a copy of Dior's Ambre Nuit, K'Bridge is a copy of Intense Café from Montale. VC&A Bois d'Iris is a copy of Dior's Bois d'Argent. Mancera's Cedrat Boisé, Montblanc's Explorer and BTV's Consort are all copies of Aventus from Creed, and the list goes on. At some point the hypocrisy has to stop.
@@N0bo6y Not accurate about Expolrer and Aventus. Creed and Montblanc go a long way back. And these to perfumes are fathered by the same perfumer... read about it.
This is just an observation, all perfume houses should focus on the juice not the packaging, the packaging including bottles are eventually discarded in the garbage bin..what a bloody waste 😒! Suggestion for a new perfume review try oud for highness by krigler. 😊
SONE BONE- A cool looking bottle gives you more confidence that what you're spraying on is special & the packaging is actually necessary to keep the fragrance from going bad with age. The juice is the most important, but other stuff helps
Why shame? Different houses interpret the same vibes differently. For example, I own TFTL and Godolphin because the latter is more office-friendly, although they are similar. I wouldn't wear TL to the office. I do wear Godolphin to the office. They might be similar (so people say) but they are not identical (to my sensitive nose they are not that similar). There is something off course in Chanel DNA for my nose, and this is where Xerjoff cames into the picture. Xerjoff's version is more elegant than Chanel's imo. On your skin, and to your nose, Richwood might be a dead copy of Coromandel. That is not the case for me/everyone. My skin plays out these two perfumes differently, and my nose is EXETREMLY sensitive to minute differences. I am very very very picky. I wouldn't buy Coromandel even if Richwood didn't exist. It has to strike a PERFECT balance for me to pull the trigger. Just thought you should hear another opinion on the matter.
Got a sample of this for free from MyFragranceSamples included w my order. I haven’t tried it yet, but to find out from Aaron that it’s a really exquisite fragrance makes me happier seeing how MyFragranceSamples would include it in my order for freee.

Elle 17/17
If you want another bottle it’s on sale at maxaroma right now for $324. Not bad at all.
I love Richwood so much I am thinking of getting a backup bottle.
Richwood is in my top five of all time....I rock it well as a 63 yo male. Great review as always!

I would suggest trying Chanel Coromandel, would love to see you compare these 2
Best men's fragrance I've ever put my nose on. The epitome of elegance.

This is 10/10 for me. Very opulent. I don't get any tuberose, I get plenty of patchouli which adds to the woods. One of my Hall of fame fragrances
You should send TLTG and Equality Fragrances some of your works to try out. They always have me buying fragrances and many others too.
