Do you have a scent you wear for when you want to give a “take me seriously” vibe? Something you might wear for a business meeting or around a difficult person when you to garner more respect?
For me, I wear more oriental, amber or even a well-blended oud for these scenarios. I do not wear soft florals or powdery scents for such occasions. I want to feel like a bad xxx, not a flower girl.
I’ve been looking forward to this review as this set is something I am seriously interested in however it will be a complete blind buy for me so I’ve been curious to hear your thoughts. Can I please ask if you’ve tried the Amber Gold/Rose Gold set and if you liked it?
Trust me, buy samples. These two are not worth the price. I don’t get anything she talks about. These two are so weak and such a skin scent, and they don’t last. I was very disappointed and $600 for these two is so over priced. She bought into the hype and gimmick. Many ppl regret buying these two. This is a cash grab for Xerjoff. I have a few favorites from Xerjoff but these two are definitely not it and not worth the money. Sometimes I think she gets paid to lie coz these two are really nothing as she describes. Nothing .
@@Puddycat00 Thank you for your honesty. I actually did manage to get some samples and while the scents are interesting they really aren’t for me. My husband walked in the house and asked what that horrible smell was 🙈It was $30 aud for each sample though which is completely ridiculous but so glad that it is all that I spent as they are $1100 aud here 😰
@@BeautyMeow,turns out it's just the shooting stars collection(Nio,Uden and Kobe)that come with meteorites.Since my inquiry,I've become the proud owner of Nio,Renaissance and Naxos.I'm absolutely loving them, and presentation is second to none.
I have both and tried wearing them layered as suggested and it doesn’t work. Both get lost and turn into a very bland barely there skin scent. I’m wearing them now. Amber Star is best worn alone. Star Musk ruins it. You only need Amber Star. The Musk is so bland and boring. It’s very non noticeable. I don’t know what she’s talking about. Star musk is barely barely detectable. And it drowns out Amber Star. Anyway that’s my opinion. You need to sample both for yourself. And never let these reviewers talk u into buying a very expensive perfume just because they claim it’s an amazing perfume . Trust me ALWAYS SAMPLE first. Many online stores sell decants. For under $20 u can buy 2mls of both. And u will see, the musk is so crappy, it’s just low quality. I adore musk. I own some of the best musk perfumes money can buy and I can honestly tell u the musk in here is not even real musk, it’s an accord . Once u have smelt real musk, u will know when a perfume has it and when its just a crappy accord, as in here. Xerjoff makes some beautiful fragrances, I own about 16 bottles myself and more on my list to buy. But they also make some very bad and undeserving of the high price, perfumes. And they know it and it’s despicable what they do. They claim Richwood has Mysore when it does not, it’s been reformulated back in 2014 when Mysore was banned because it was on the endangered species list. The perfume industry was using and abusing all of the Mysore trees that India had to put a stop to all exporting of Mysore to save them. I don’t blame them. But when Xerjoff was asked why Richwood now smells so different, and if it’s been reformulated, they swore up and down that it was the same and that it still had Mysore sandalwood. When in fact that was a lie, nobody was able to get any Mysore for many years after. Just recently has India lifted the ban on Mysore. So greedy Xerjoff reformulated Richwood and all the other fragrances that contained Mysore and replaced Mysore with patchouli or other much cheaper ingredients . Xerjoff had replaced Mysore with Patchouli, in Richwood, much cheaper ingredient, but they kept the prices still very high. Richwood was worth the crazy high price before, because it contained Mysore and it was just the most breathtaking beautiful scent I have ever smelt. My goodness it smelt just incredible. But after they took out the Mysore, it was obvious to us lovers of Richwood that it was not the same. It still smells very nice BUT it’s not breathtakingly beautiful as when it contained Mysore. And when asked, they kept denying that they reformulated it . Finally they were found out to be liars and had to admit that yes they had reformulated Richwood and many others. They claimed they did it when they introduced the new fancier bottles. No, they did it before that. All this lying by these Niche perfume houses is just despicable. So now that Mysore Sandalwood is not endangered anymore, you’d think that Xerjoff would reformulate again to add it back in, but noooo they will not, because Mysore is now very expensive. But they charge a fortune for Richwood anyway and its not worth it, not with the notes it now has in it. It’s EXTREMELY overpriced. Oh if ppl only knew how crazy high Xerjoff perfumes are and they really are not worth it. The notes and ingredients are not the best. But this is why I try to educate ppl. Because a lot of these perfume reviewers are paid to push a certain perfume. Or they’re just naive and ignorant and don’t know what they’re talking about. This is why the BEST advice I can give anyone is to always sample. Never blind buy. These perfumes are too expensive to just throw your money away like that . I am so sad I was let down by these two Fragrances. Not only do they not work well layered together but Star musk is terrible, u can’t even detect it on skin. Amber Star is just nice. Nothing great, there are many many much more amazing Ambers out there that u can buy. I know, I also collect Amber fragrances. Niche and Designer but I’d say I’m 85% more into Niche now days. Although I still adore my favorite perfumes by the best Designer perfume houses.
What a gimmick. Selling two bottles for $600. I have decants, not impressed . Amber star is weak and not worth $20 even, can barely even smell it, there is no Amber in it. . The musk is nice but still, not worth $600.
Separately the fragrances are okay, but when they meet together it's an EXPLOSION of of love!
I love them layered!
@@BeautyMeow ah, how do you layer? Any preferences?
I wear grand soir from MFK. I received the sample from xerjoff today. I love love love amber star. I think I have to buy it and save for it!
Grand soir is lovely one of the best amber scent 👌
How unique would Stat Musc be, Madame Meow?
