I think she, herself, went through rehab and then went through the counselor certification program. If that’s the case, those counseling jobs are part time, so it would track that she would have another job.

I had a friend like this, out of high school.
We reconnected, about 8yrs. later, and had a bit of a falling out -- which, she said didn't want what happened, to ruin our friendship.
A while later, I decided I didn't want to be friends with her, anymore.
Which, in all honesty, had nothing to do with what happened -- I know I was to blame in that situation, also.
It was entirely because I didn't like who she became, once she got with her, now, husband -- especially, because she'd always say how well-known and liked he was, around town; and that lead her to become.. I don't even know how to explain it..
Though, ALR-vibe, for sure.
And, yet, my few experiences of him -- he was a total dick.
Either the first or second time I met him, I brought him some cannabis, as a birthday gift (it was his party), knowing he smoked -- he barely even said thank you, and actively ignored me.
The few times I have met him, in fact, he actively ignored me.
And this was prior to the issue, between my friend and I.
I figured, if I didn't even like who she became -- why even bother attempting to rectify the situation?
Though, even when we were in our late teens -- she, definitely, would become all-consumed with her relationship, and that arrogance would creep in.
it just hit an all-time-high, with her, now, husband.
However, also, this was the woman who worked at her grandfather's diner, and would make BANK off of tips -- and then sit there, in front of me and others, knowing we didn't make that kind of money, just counting the hundreds of dollars in cash, she would make, a day. And she would usetilzie that money, towards her friends, in a very similar way that Amber did.
However, in all fairness, to her -- there were people who thought she had it easy, with her grandfather being the owner. In reality, she was a hard-worker, and had to prove herself more so, for that very reason.
Though, I admit, I am a bit jealous, that she had that opportunity, in her teens -- being how waitressing is a skill that can be very valuable, lucrative, and taken almost anywhere. And also, she got kicked out of her home, and her grandparents took her in, because she has a narcissistic mother. Which, coming from a family that has diagnosed NPD, myself -- I do have compassion for her, regardless).
When I watch Amber, so many of her facial expressions, inflections, behaviors -- it is such a trip, how much she reminds me of that old girl-friend, of mine.
