How to Fix Rear Command Dial - Nikon D200 / D700 / D300

  • Quick fix for a malfunctioning command dial on Nikon DSLRs. Used a D200 in the video but it should work for D700, D300, D80, D90 and so forth. If this doesn't fix, then it might be some other problem.

    Good tip, thank you. This problem also happens with dials on a old Nikon D100 as well.

      yeah that's true, I had that exact problem with my D100

    My nikon d3100 shutterspeed is stuck at 1/350. it flickers and comes back to 350. what should i do i tried perfume as my alcohol no solution

      If electronic cleaning spray doesn't solve it, then it might be some other issue. Exactly what, I'm not sure, unfortunately.

      I've had to do it a few times on my D700, with some months in between, but it's been good for over half a year now.

    doesn't spraying liquid in to it create mre problems?

      It definitely can if too much is used and it gets trapped inside. The liquid evaporates easily and I have not had any problems so far.

      @@mikaelrphoto So it's best to be very sparing with the spray and perhaps invert the camera, hold it upside down? Great video BTW, I didn't mention it before. Very informative.
