they don't sell any candle-making supplies here in Egypt and I have to make everything myself which you just made so much more fun than I imagined it would be. I can't thank you enough! and seriously, genuis combination of elements!
This is amazing -please please can you make videos of your process of dipping using this carousel ? How many times you dip and how long to wait, do you use cold water, do you have to trim the bottom etc ❤
Years ago I made my racks with different materials, turned out much bulkier. This is by far the most elegant DIY rack I've seen yet. I will make my new ones that way. Thanks for the vid. At the end he shows that he dips in what I think is a paint can. I've used coffee cans, essentially the same thing. But, that leaves me with rather short candles. So, I cut the bottom out from the can and soldered two and three cans together, allowing me to make up to 20" tapers.
I remember trying coffee cans and a whole bunch of other things too! What a mess... Glad I found these little things; I also use them to isolate my pouring jugs from the bottom of the double boiler.
Hi There, I made the racks but I am having a hard time keeping the the holes for the wicking lined up so the top one is in line with the bottom one and the wicking stays vertical instead of slightly slanted. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much, this is awesome. Waiting for the "how to dip the candles" video. Also would love to learn how to change the size of the candles by adjusting the carousel!
@@HowtomakeCandles_Channel haha same here, well I'm subbed ;). My girlfriend was watching your video with me and said omg he's just like you using man tools lol. Nice to see some guys making candles aswell!
Hi Mati, There's plenty of space at the base so you can make the candles pretty much as thick as you want, depends on the diameter of the finger guards and how many times you feel like dipping the carousel. Temperature of the wax is key here for a correct build-up of wax.

Thank you very much! Kind of struggling with finding affordable equipment too so whenever I can make it myself, I do 😋

Fantastic video, thank you for sharing! Is the demo on its use still coming?
Thank you very much! Yes, I haven't had time to make videos lately but the how-to for taper candles should arrive somewhere during the coming 2 weeks.
@@HowtomakeCandles_Channel Waiting for the taper candles video!! You've helped me so much with you tutorials, can't wait for the second part
I wonder if you actually dipped with this because what keeps your wax from building up on the bottom??
Hello nice videos man why did you stop :p still waiting on the dip video
Hi, didn't stop, part 2 is coming but so much to do, so little time..... 😕

Did you ever film how to use it?
I just got the finger guards but how large can each candle be? It's nice to get one inch at the base maybe these are too small?

My question is- what is the rod size?
