Thank you for your effort.. It's disheartening to witness when individuals perpetuate myths. According to Matti, shooting in RAW is a must. A lot of photographers keep spreading this notion. Shooting in RAW could have its uses, but there's no need to do it constantly, particularly with today's powerful cameras. You can save your photos in HEIF format using the newest Sony cameras. When you shoot in RAW, it's because you want to put in a lot of work in post-processing. It's preferable not to shoot in RAW at all and to focus on improving your photographic abilities rather than attempting to hide your shortcomings in post-production. When deliberate artistic editing is in the works to accomplish a particular design goal, shooting in RAW becomes useful. Any other way would be a waste of time.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. Please, shoot jpeg or any format as long as you are happy with the results. I'm not quite there yet skill wise and I have to hide my shortcomings in post😀 By the way, don't hesitate to share a link for you online portfolio. Maybe I could learn by looking at your photos and some day lose my shortcomings and start shooting jpeg or HEIF😀
@@mattisulanto , It is illogical and religious to insist that you should ALWYAS shoot in RAW format. A pragmatic and imaginative mindset, prioritising innovation over religious dogma, is beneficial for staying healthy. The assertion that one should always photograph in RAW is akin to asserting that one should exclusively shoot in monochrome!
@@INFOXlive That is your opinion and you are fully entitled to it. Like I said, the main thing is that you are happy with the results. I suppose you are not going to share any of those results with me? When people are passionate about something it would be nice to see what kind of photos they make.
Your statement in the video was: “…and if you shoot RAW, by the way YOU SHOULD ALWAYS shoot raw no matter you shoot…” 01:53. (FIN: sinun pitäisi aina) Should - indicates the obligation. Always - on all occasions, at all times; on every occasion, every time. If you mentioned that you prefer to always shoot raw, then this is just a personal preference. However, you are instructing the viewer to always capture images in raw format, regardless of their aim. In principle, your assertion is equivalent to this claim: you should only use a hammer, regardless of job or objective. The problem isn't your or someone else's personal preferences, but delivering erroneous advice. Otherwise, keep providing content; I hope it is encouraging to others.
@@INFOXlive I'm sorry but this conversation is not interesting and I have better things to do, like taking photographs. If you own a camera I recommend the same to you. All the best😀
I also love 40mm focal lengths as well, I tend to have to buy voightlander ones as these are normally the only ones available for most of my camera choices.

Hi Matti, great point you made about the BILLBOARD SIGNS being a great source of light. We need to take advantage of these light sources at night, they are everywhere. I really liked the Air B and B pictures especially that tall building that looked like a Rocket. Great variety Matti, thank you 😊
im not brave enough to do night photography anytime soon. i still wanna start somewhere, doesnt have to be during summer so i guess next winter? 😁 its gonna be an interesting test for my R7 in these scenarios.
Thank you Matti! Excellent tips. I live in Stockholm and here the night lights are very dim. Oh well we had towards summer when the sun almost never sets. Be well!
Thanks. There should be plenty to photograph in Stockholm and in the winter the whole day is low light photography😀 In the summer it's hard because you have to stay up until 1:00 to able to do low light photography for a little bit😀

Great video as always. But I have a question; why do you recommend a 40mm as a general walk around lens?
Thanks. I think I said 40mm is my favorite, not a general recommendation😀

Thanks. Voigtländer lenses are beautiful even though I don't own any at the moment.

Thanks Matti for sharing your thoughts and guidance... great results in an interesting location... cheers from Australia 🦘🦘😊

Sometimes nothing interesting in front of your lens, but in Bangkok? Peace of cake of course... It's dream for photographers.
I don't find Bangkok a piece of cake to photograph but I like the warm climate😀 Do you have photos from Bangkok?

Thanks Matti, great recommendations for night photography.

Thank you! Plus, fog and rain can be especially dramatic in the lights of urban nighttime settings.

Do you think that the 9mm f/1.7 for micro 4/3 is good for night or day street photography? Thanks in advance.
It would be a bit too wide for my taste but other than that it's as good as any lens for night or street.

Don't put it off too long and summer is the best time to start because it's warm and not super dark.
I'll try these tips tonight. Thanks, Matti. In Bangkok, the song. One night in Bangkok comes to mind.
