- Sorry for the crude editing.. Just a quick glimpse into what the install is like. Not too bad, however the lever on the T-case was different since the Widow Maker instructions were for mid-controls
I don't always bang my ratchet off my tank. But when I do, I make sure to get it on film for everyone to see

I have a 1959 Panhead and it has a suicide clutch and jockey shifter. The clutch is a foot clitch(suicide) and the shifter is under my left leg(jockey) your bike is just a tank shift with a moved clutch.
Yep, jockey shifter is behind leg, hence the name.
foot clutch is only suicide clutch if the rocker pedal is removed. Rocker clutch or suicide clutch
Yeah there's no rocker with mine but it has to have a rocker to be a true suicide. Because you would set the clutch with the rocker and the vibration would disengage the clutch sending you into traffic, hence suicide. Mine is just a pedal, no settings.

Dyna Lone Rider Exactly....the jockey set up was to eliminate all the excess linkage. This adds more while making the stock set up more inefficient.

I don’t remember seeing jockeys reaching forward for anything. That’s a tank shift and hand clutch in a different, albeit inconvenient position.

the jockey shift l mounting bracket may have enough space on the mounting bracket for you to drill out a coil relocation spot. As for the clutch lever, the lever is separate from the hand controls and turn signals . The bigger problem I see is mounting the rear view mirror under the bars it wants to interfere with the .jockey shift therefore I only run the right side mirror.

Just put your feet down like normal, use the friction in the clutch to hold your position with the right hand brake also
I didn't think he was going with that kind of set up. I was never a fan of the clutch lever incorporated on the shifter itself.
you would be if you were disabled. my left leg is prosthetic. I cant work a foot clutch since I cant feel it.
Sir,I am not here with all of the know it all nay sayers. I am here to learn and hopefully continue riding. Problem is for me is the surgeons say my left hand needs to be rebuilt and after the last two surgeries I don't trust those guys any more. My shifter hand is in extreme pain any more and am looking for a way to shift put her in gear and keep moving. Problem is,suicide clutch/shifters were a tad before my time and am not sure how they function, or if this is another deal to help people like me keep doing what they enjoying what their doing for as long as possible. Thankyou Sir.
+Michael Smith this is not the way as I still have a clutch handle to squeeze... the real way is to have a foot clutch a true suicide shifter, best of luck

Why don’t you just put a foot clutch with an auto clutch? It would make the whole setup way more drivable and enjoyable.
davidrivas305 it was an experiment - I found it enjoyable but definitely not for riding in heavy traffic... easy on my 15 min commute

I don't care what anyone says, Harleys are awesome just got the simple fact that you can see a Sportster with a suicide shift and a Sportster with a quick shifter and both are perfectly acceptable!
how do you bypass the shift button on the controls?
for some stupid reason, will the stock horn not fit with the shifter install? just curious, i love the setup, but in weird for loving the big cowbell horn on that side too. will they work together?
Newer sportsters do not have the cowbell. At least my 09 Nightster doesn't
