Charlie and them, Happy New Year. This weeks offering was a million miles from last weeks with the effort put in to supporting a sustainable supply of wild birds for ethical shooting on a conservation agenda. Much respect to the French team and the English keeper.
Happy New Year Charlie and the team, another great video and enjoyable to watch. Many thanks for a year of top videos and greetings from Down Under to everyone, Tony.
Although I don’t do shooting myself; well air rifle shooting but that’s hardly the same thing. I do enjoy watching your videos; very entertaining and informative. Thank you
Happy New Year, Charlie, David and the team! A great view this week Charlie, we don't see many partridges here in NZ though. I've been told they are hard to breed, so maybe that's why. Our seasons are different here, so for me I spent three days after Christmas chasing Hamalian Tahr. I've never even seen one before, let alone shoot one, but with help from two accomplished hunters, I got three. The furthest two (both shot next to each other) was from just under 600yds. So, all the work I had put into my Aspire 243win plus the hand loads, paid off. Have a great year Fieldsports Britain, I'll be watching with interest. Thanks for sharing, guys.
Great video I very much like to see bird hunting around the world. Here in Montana we call grey partridges “Huns or Hungarian partridge “ ,we hunt them over pointers and there are plenty of them. They do quite well in central Montana.
Great show. Having been luck to shoot wild grey partridges in a number of places, like Blidworth Bottoms, Sutton Scotney etc, I know Gre partridge could in theory do well in the UK climate. The issue here is simply a lack of natural feed for the birds and laziness on the part of owners and keepers.
180 degree change of direction from Finland to shooting ranges. For the past 20 years, the construction of new ones has been prevented and old ones have been closed on flimsy grounds.
From hand thrown flappers to driven grey partridge, Fieldsports Channel has it all! What a superb day that looked to be in France. I don't think I have ever seen Charlie so happy and fulfilled on this channel. Regarding why we don't have more grey partridge shoots in the UK, I have 2 thoughts on the subject. We don't because the commercial returns are not as good as the red legs and pheasants. The 40% returns of these game birds is good for keeping costs down and having more people in the sport. So, commercially, greys aren't great. That said, having witnessed the release bans due to bird flu for "game birds" (which were defined as pheasant and red legs because they are non-native and can obviously catch flu and greys can't!) the grey was exempt. Why? Native bird. Thus, shoots should try and release some each year. I tried on our small DIY syndicate. Our landlord the farmer said great he would love to see them back but the syndicate said no, we won't get the returns. My guess is that within 20 years, we may only be allowed to release greys, mallards and teal as they are native species whereas red legs and pheasants are pejoratively labeled "invasive". A brown hare is technically "invasive" but that is beside the point. The point is to ban rear and release shooting. In my humble opinion, Browning / Miroku make the best mass produced shotguns on the market. Superb bits of kit and totally reliable. Happy New Year, to one and all.
Quality film Charlie & Co.Did some of your birds have ''ears'' 😈 Charlie. Blame the cameraman 🤣.Pity did not capture the unmistakeable ''call of the wild'' when coveys of greys are on the wing.Aesthetically never liked the gun ''number plate'' etched into the action as it is on these later Brownings.
It's a pity steve the keeper didn't mention the shoot he left in Italy last year. Where he destroyed the best driven shoot in the country. I wonder how long Stephen toft and Juile will last. They have been sacked from nearly every job previously.
What sort of predation do the Greys have in France.. BOP's etc. Red Kites do the most damage to are wild stock taking at an educated guess 40%+ of the chicks. As for the Browning guns I've had Browning/Miroku for 35 years, absolutely bombproof so treated myself to two new Miroku 12 and 20 bore High Pheasant grade 5s.....can only call the Grade 5 wood...... GARBAGE at best it;s kindling wood. Over £2000 to replace a split stock and forend, The gun only cost £2800 new. Stick to the grade1 wood if you do purchase one
I am totally a Browning fan ..Heritage Hunter 2 ..12 bore… and Crown 20 bore with Teague chokes ..had B15 and other 725’s but find 525 suits me better …this 825 together with the recently introduced laminates are horrible 😎😎… Sorry Browning …Yuk
Can only dream of a crown, have had Grade 5 B325 12 and 20, now reduced to a plain but very shootable B525. 20 bore my go to gun even for driven birds but the 12 bore best for Geese and Ducks
An honour to be on FSB and a pleasure to hang out with you guys for an extremely memorable weekend!
♥️

I hope she meant based on your attire you looked 1800s, Charlie. Brilliant episode. Look g forward to seeing you guys in 2025.
😁
Habitat, disturbance and pesticides will be major factors in lowland wild birds.

English partridge in France ….what is the world coming to 😱😱😱
They are native to france Belgium Luxemburg Germany and many Other countries.
You only call them english to differentiate from the red leg partridge
👍
Super show, lucky beggars.

Browning quality has been in decline since the mid 80's.
Also seen the loader close the gun with live shot inside the stand??

My god, when is UA-cam going to ban this outdated, cruel biodiversity wrecking nonsense..
you mean biodiversity creating surely.
Why would anybody support this ridiculous channel after the throwing ducks affair, you are all culpable.
3:45 вы зачем в ящик залезли?
