- I play an impromptu duet with Flutist Jasmine Choi at the Flute Center of New York. We played a little bit of Mozart's Magic Flute. I really hope you enjoy listening. Two of the few of my most favourite people together playing the flute - what a treat! And in answer to your question about an album - it’s a resounding YES!!!!
Really nice...but...my eyes soon saw the stacks of flutes in the back (reminding me of wands in Harry Potter). "The flute chooses the Wizard, Harry". Harry picks one up, blows and SQUEEK! Mr. Olivander: "No, definitely no!"

I’d love for you to make a video about how to come back from a “bad” performance. I just did a competition today and made all of these silly mistakes and feel as though my reputation is ruined and that I should just quit now... would really love to hear some words of advice on how to remind yourself that it’s worthwhile to keep trying. I feel as though I invest all this time (and all of my money) into flute but I’m still failing so much. Thank you
Lauren Erickson we totally can do that. One quick piece of advice is go and do something else immediately after or soon after, like a restaurant with friends, swim, something to separate you from that moment and have the sensation of moving on. That moment you had is not a representation of who you are but only a single moment in time and like all other moments are different and a learning experience. The lower part just sounds so much richer, which is why I often prefer playing the lower parts in pieces!

I noticed the flute that Jasmine is playing has a head with a higher gold content. What flutes are you guys playing?
She actually didn't have her flute with her so the amazing people at the FCNY lent her this amazing flute. I can't recall which flute it was but it sounded great. Amelie plays on a Sankyo flute.
