What’s crazy is that I’ve known Austin Harris and Travis since I was 5 and wrestled with them in Japan in 2016. And now I’m watching a UA-cam video about them that randomly popped up on my page lol.
People getting pinned that should be winning their matches cause huge point swings so this is both strange but fixable. They are a little rocked by what happened to AJ but things will get better.
Cowboys have a bunch of Horses for the tournies, if they get healthy. They will be a better tournament team then a dual team. Great vid, and insight. Thnx
After the Ferrari accident the wind just fell from their sails. If AJ comes back it will be before big 12 championships if he doesn’t show there then he probably won’t be back until next year. Thank you for this content. Big OSU fan!!!!
PSU will be solid until Cael retires. Iowa will be Iowa until PA kids stop going to Iowa. It's nice to see new schools step up and compete for a while.
John Smith needs to go. He has continuously failed to peak the team properly. AJ Ferrari is just one guy, and the whole team struggled and under-performed down the stretch. OSU should bring in some hot young coach with name recognition among HS kids. Somebody like Dake or David Taylor.
I mean honestly they don't get hardly any talent outside of the state or southwest. Everyone knows there's talent in OK but not like there is in Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and other Midwest/Eastern states. A good example is Ohio being the #2 overall state since 2001 for breeding high school studs who go on and win D1 NCAA titles but only half or less of those studs wrestled for Ohio State. That's a perfect example of teams picking off top ranked talent from outside their state. You gotta heavily recruit the best talent possible in each weight class regardless of how close to home they are. Oklahoma is a decent high school wrestling state but certainly isn't good enough to send guys to in-state schools loading D1 NCAA lineups with mostly or all OK guys and expect to be a title contender let alone win it all. I know it's a hard task to get Midwestern studs to not go somewhere in the BIG 10 but a great recruiter can ALWAYS land unexpected talent. I don't know why this isn't brought up more. Oklahoma State's lineup hasn't been diverse enough in years. Everyone is a stay at home and wrestle for the next best thing at OK State rather than risking no starting time until 3 or 4 years in with a redshirt at a BIG 10 school.
Is AJ Ferrari actually going to wrestle this season? Or is it too early to tell? It would be a herculean feet if he does return, but either way I certainly wish for a speedy recover.
I think it is a little too early to tell. I know he is receiving treatment at Oklahoma State and he is out of the hospital, so that is the only news I know.
OSU is missing Ferrari, obviously, or they'd have won at least 2 of the duals they lost. Also, OSU looks very flat and burned out. John Smith is screwing up the coaching, as usual.
You missed it kid. Good try, though. O.S.U. sports are dead for one reason: Incest! The following is a cut and paste of a recent text to my high school wrestling coach, who wrestled two years at Iowa under Dan Gable, about the death of Slow Pokes athletics and how it won't change. "The Slow Pokes drop two in two days, Coach! While taking nothing from the UNI and ISU greatness, it's just more evidence that the incestuous Oklahoma State athletics dept is still inbreeding at the rapid fire rate and nothing will change. Ineffective coaches are being kept in place by an ineffective A.D. who is being kept in place by an ineffective university president who is being kept in place by an ineffective board of regents. The Board consists of nine members. Of those, one was NOT an undergraduate of Oklahoma State University. I was unable to confirm the chick doctor's undergraduate degree, but she is a graduate of The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. The other seven Board members hold undergraduate degrees from Oklahoma State University! The new chick president who appointed the new A.D. are both Oklahoma State University grads, like the previous two who held those offices, as well as head wrestling coach, John Smith, head football coach, Mike Gundy, head baseball coach, Josh Holliday, head golf coach, Alan Bratton, and the list goes on. With this lineage, it's time for some new, outside blood to purge the mediocrity that now contaminates the potential championship bloodline at the once-great Oklahoma State University Athletic's Department! When everyone is not goods buddies, they will finally be replaced. John Smith will always rank as the second greatest wrestler ever next to Dan Gable, but he's become ineffective as a coach and doesn't win to O.S.U. standards. One year recently, he had not a single wrestler in the championship finals! That's not embarrassing, that's humiliating! Maybe many or most schools are like this, but they are not OU's kid brother. O.S.U. winning is great for the state of Oklahoma, and what's great for the state is great for the University of Oklahoma. Although Mike Gundy had a great season, he, too, has become ineffective and has taken the team as far as he can. But because everyone shares Orange blood, nobody will even consider replacing their underlings who need it most. If it were my choice, I'd make you the A.D. to burn down the house, kill all of the illegitimate children and rebuild it to be the champions they can be once again!" As long as same stagnant blood remains at Oklahoma State, they will not be champions. It long past time to clean house in Stillwater of all Slow Pokes and bring in outsiders to replenish the greatness. Inbreeding in some Amish communities has been so bad that outside breeders were brought in to help eliminate all the disease, defects and deformities that emerged as commonplace. The same is happening and should be done in Stillwater. Until outsiders are brought in and ineffective O.S.U. grads are forced out, don't expect anymore championships to be added to the trophy case!
Glad you're back bro. Good luck with school and wrestling!
Thank you Dino!

Hes differently going be back he wants to become a 4 timer
@@dubstepgamer04 He wants to be a Five-timer. The covid year made that possible for some guys.
Rebuilding year. Missouri is struggling also with a young team. Neither program is "falling apart".
Nothing matters until the National Tournament. You’ll see.
I feel like they have been having a real hard time without AJ. Seems like they just don't have the same energy.
True Tan- the tourney the Cowboys participated in was their own Cowboy Classic- held in a snowy, socked in Stillwater!

11:10 you left out the fact that Carter Young beat Seth Gross earlier this season

@@truetanwrestling Thanks!
He finally posted on social media. Basically said he doesn't know when yet, but he's healing up and planning to get his 2nd national championship
Recent news is that he is out for the season.. but I think they're saying that so everyone can get off his back.
the Hawks are going to destroy them
Hopefully Ferrari comes back
I agree it would be a shame if his talents were left out of the NCAA landscape
What happened to him? I'm out of the loop
@@possummm he got in a car accident about two weeks ago
@@truetanwrestling Damn thats rough

Should’ve scored less than that because of the Josh Heil controversy
Still can’t believe how bad they messed that up

No bigger fool than Ferarri
Calm down dude. Totally overreacting. Good channel though 👍🏻
I hope your day brightened up after this comment. Totally unnecessary.
