I learned to play guitar because of roy Buchanan. I'm sorry about what in 1988 or whenever it happened He will always be my greatest guitar heroes of all time. He's the reason I learned to play the guitar
I started jamming to Roy in 1984. To this record. Got to see him live in here in Australia 1988, months before his untimely demise. Will cherish the memory of his music, till I die.
So great to see people enjoying the amazing Master of the Telecaster Roy Buchanan. It's so sad he's been lost in time and never received the respect he deserved.
Ich war vom Cover derart angetan, dass ich mir die LP „blind“ kaufen musste. Habe es nie bereut. Der Titelsong ist für mich auch nach 45 Jahren immer noch eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsstücke.
Roy used to come by and jam at a friend of mines house in Falls Church VA back in the mid 70s. He was such a friendly guy, real laid back, and when he got a guitar in his hands, it was like the world stood still and listened, he was that amazing! Another one that left way too early.
Late 70s..... HeadShop browsing. And this was playing....... They had the used album in the little wood display.... I saw the cover and all the goosebumps I had ,i bought it 3 dollars. Very Dreamy memory. I was sold
This album is a gem ..... a must have in anybodys collection .... most under rated master of them all .. they all came to learn from roy ... on the road alone at 13 he left home .... mentored robbie robertson when he was about 15 .... if you have seen him live ,when he was alive , you would never forget it ... RIP Roy .... you legend ..
ROY was a sad man but his music made him whole what a guitarist and this album was different than his other works here he went cosmic this is my favorite from him rip brother Pete knows
First time hearing this was in early 80's, so glad for ytube and all it's offerings. What a great musician Roy was and such a strange ending to his life too. :( RIP Guitar Hero
The ongoing music theme for the first 10 min is " Turn to Stone " by Joe Walsh. Recorded by Joe in 74 or 75. Roy kills it with his blistering rendition!
I know, the market was saturated with so many greats at that time. But his work is still alive and enjoyed long after his death. Super and original guitar workings.
Amazing sound,he lights my life up,sounds better just before bed time ,sadly they found roy in jail dead ,he was very depressed men,but what I master class ,see u 8n the resurrection, here on paradise on earth,u have another chance roy, can't wait to talk with u,miss u my dearest friend ,never forget u, and Jimi hendrix,Jim Morrison, all well be in good hands soon,I really hope ,😢❤❤❤
A Diamond between Divine Beauty of Cosmo and Diabolic Passion of the Earth. The giantness of Good and Evil in 40 minutes. Here we are in Sharrock's Ask The Ages. A Dirty Reflections about Ask.
Good find! Apparently he often used a Les Paul on his album covers. But his greatest fans were beasts on a Les Paul, for example, Jeff Beck and Gary Moore..
@@scaramanga7696 amazing how many people think he was the same era as those guys ... they dont realise theycame to learn from the master ... he was on road playing at 13yrs old in 1952 ... he was a mentor to alot of the greats .. he wrote a song to beck .. my friend jeff ... to which Beck (&writer S Wonder ) dedicated the song ....Cause we ended as lovers ... to Roy Buchanan ... little bit of trivia if you didnt know ..

If I could find this in nice clean LP form, I wouldn’t *dream* of playing it on my turntable until I bought a new needle.

The respect, kudos, and MONEY.

Just great talent. This music has brought me back to reality more than once.
One of the many missing from spotify- people are missing out-one of my favourites from the seventies, someone has it hope they are enjoying it.

What a loss he was. Really is no comparison. This was actually the first album I ever heard from him. Been many since that though.
Why is this album not on streaming services? It's a gem, and an album I always return to.
It's on both Tidal and Qobuz.
@@thomasmead4642 is he playing a Tele or Les Paul ?
I feel exactly the same about this album. It's gad damn mystery why it isn't streamed. WTF!?
@@thomasmead4642 it’s not on Tidal :/ at least not in Australia

Underrated album & guitarist.
This is a damn good album.... an album that was ignored by critics & fans....

Roy is still my most favorite guitarist
Muito.... muito bom
Ive heard so many greats 😊
Love this record. Def the most "far out" and "spacey" album Roy did. His guitar sounds great in that context.
It just draws you in. Space Rock!
Aahhh! I'm in love all over again!
Oh my God! Been listening since it came out. Just....
You have great taste!
Some people think the blues. Is sad its not its😅
Обалдеть!!!
Outstanding musicians! Everyone of them!!
Ive been rocking to this album a long time....I also love green onions by Roy
after 10minute, it's funkadelic's magot brain like.
