I just set up my fire stick last night with my old clunker of a Panasonic plasma tv, and was very impressed with the speed compared to the old setup I had previously. Other than trying to get the cover off the remote which took me about 30 minutes I'm very happy I purchased it. I look forward to using it with a more updated 4k tv.
Several useful tips here. I can also add that you can restart the entire fire stick from the settings menu and "My fire TV". This closes all apps, clears the memory, and might clear certain problems. It does not remove any passwords or personal settings, so it's safe to use and only takes a few seconds.
Amazon TVstick is very convenient, isn't it? I'm going to get sick I don't want to go out today :) It was very interesting to play the video. With love from Japan :)

Hi. Noticed the tv volume doesn’t change the volume of the Bluetooth speaker & the + and - buttons on Bluetooth speaker just restarts the movie. Any ideas ?
@@edvalcik8559 On most head phones the volume up and down buttons also have other feathers like forward or back . Try just a quick tap on the volume control on the headphones I have both sony and bose and both control the volume on the headphone when connected to firestick . I think you are just holding the buttons down to long . Try the quick tap on the speaker bar they work the same way .

Hey one great feature I just found out about yesterday is the automatic reset. Wake up one day and it decided it would just rest itself overnight. You don't even have to do anything to make it work. Loved the video though.
great tips. I am from India and a first time fireTV 4K user for the very first time. Helped me a lot. All of those are not hidden features as few were just features to be used and provided by fireTV. Anyways Thanks bro.
Thank you! This is so helpful! Any thoughts - we have Disney+ on Fire stick. Hulu works fine. Netflix, UA-cam and all other apps have no issues. Disney+ stops to refresh constantly. Just to get through the opening credits it can stop 10-15 times. However once we watched a movie and it stopped maybe 2-3 times during the entire movie. It plays fine on our phones with no stopping. If we can’t figure it out soon we will just cancel Disney+.
If you haven't already tried this, be sure to. Unplug the power cord from your router for a couple minutes. Then plug back in. Do this at least once every 8 - 10 days. This clears the cache inside the router. The more WiFi is used, the more often this simple step should be done. Your connection speed and number of internet users in your area can affect the stopping & overall speed as well. Just like it can effect it when using a computer. Good luck!

I do have one question, if anyone knows... when you watch youtube videos and a commercial comes on - the screen often allows you to SKIP my pressing the skip icon (sideways triangle with a vertical line to the right of it). That icon is not on the firestick, so how can you SKIP????
Ok I thought I knew it all and started skipping through the video but the jokes on me, I had to go back and start over cause this was some good information!

Hello: Thanks for the tips & I used your tutorial to Jail Break my Fire TV Stick (newbie to all this). Question: Tip #4 Mirroring the cell phone to TV. I have an Moto E Play android phone & found an App: Cast To TV-XCast & downloaded it, How do you know which one to download. I followed your steps in video: held Home button, went to Mirroring, clicked it, then I'm suppose to open the App on my phone (made sure both using same wifi). I saw my name for the Fire Stick & clicked on it, but nothing & I get now error message or something. I tried re-starting my phone, went back out on TV & fire stick, but nothing. What do you suggest? I tried to use the App you mentioned but its not for my phone & I uninstalled it. Thanks again.

It sounds to me like a lot of agony after installing and uninstalling and reinstalling odd infinitum..... Ya gotta respect the sheer volume of it.

I own the 4k and the 2nd gen cube, kinda weird , the 4k will link to my android phone whereas the 2nd cube will not,
does the otg usb cable adapter allow you to watch stuff on a portable usb hdd?
or is it not powerful enough?
Yes you can watch video content from an USB through a otg cable. I use a otg able with a Ugreen multi port and I use a 2tb ssd
