Awesome video Not wasting time to talk about things and introduction that no one cares Showing own face like other ppl, Straight to the work and details Awesome video Molodez
Thank you for posting this video!! Thinking out adding Bidet into our bathroom and the layout is very similar. The only questions if you have time to answer would be how do I now which wires connect to what or would it better to hire an electrician to double check my work? Thank you!!
You are tapping from a 15 amp outlet meaning it is wired using 14/2 and have terminated with a 20 amp outlet meaning 12/wire should be used. This plug will allow anyone to plug in a 20 amp load on wire that is 15 amp rated. Even if the wire you used is 12/2 the wire you tapped into is still 14/2. Terrible wiring lessons given here.
You right. But this outlet not in the kitchen or garage. No one will plug anything more than toilet seat and cellphone charger. So that's why I am not worried about electric code.
Hi I have a bathroom but it does not have an existing outlet on the other side of the wall - so is there a way to install a outlet from scratch right next to my toilet? like is there anyway
Fix it All it actually was! I am seriously just considering doing this to mine as well. Was going to hire an electrician, but this video really made it seem easy to do. I am looking at adding to my powder room first floor. Taking electricity from my office. Same way you just did. Thanks for the video
In my areas, don't know about other regions/states in older houses (during sale/buying) inside areas like kitchen or bath no one will change a line, so all inspectors says just replace regular outlet to GFCI and no matter how the line goo.
@@apex007 On outlet two different way for connection. Single (in my situation) or to the other outlets in row. Second way connector screws covered with yellow label 2:33

In USA all wire has standard connections to the outlets. Google some wire diagram for outlets.
@@FixitAll will do!
Great shots of the details! Shame they installed an elongated seat on a round toilet bowl.
Oh, yes, you right. Thanks!

@@FixitAll All you have to do to make this completely legal is replace 20A GFI with a 15AMP GFI...
Based on the color of the Romex, Why would you use a 20 amp GFCI on a 15 amp/14 gauge wire. 15 amp GFCI would work just fine.
You right, not really matters.
Not remember why, probably 20 Amp just was in my van on that time.

You need a line. Open the sheetrock and get the wire .
@@FixitAll ok I don’t know what all this is is there step by step video on it for my situation so I can do it myself and learn
@@dilshadrandhawa3921 you need to take hot wire from any closer outlet or switch.
@@FixitAll I totally have no idea what that is or even how to start I’m totally new
@@dilshadrandhawa3921 google. A lot of information there. I dont have it.
Round toilet sit size using elongated bidet, watch out.= what you buy!
Welp...time for me to wipe using regular toilet paper after watching this video on the toilet. Can’t wait to install one 😢
Glad it was helpful!

You can do it for sure.
I think that is against code. GFCI needs to be first on the circuit, not last. Not sure if that applies to retrofits.

@@FixitAll yes but it needs to be on the first outlet in the circuit. The home run line (the outlet which goes back to the circuit panel).
