I think that their problem is that neither of them got to fully explore their passions after they got married. Grace talks about interior design and being an artist because she wants to pursue her passion for art. Trip talks about bartending and going to vineyards in Italy because his passion is becoming a bartender/mixologist. I’m not saying marriage gets in the way of pursuing one’s individual interests. BUT in their case, getting married right out of college and miscommunication did prevent them from developing their passions.

Imagine if this game was some kind of social construct or experiment in the expectation to better AI to the whims of humans, which is the reason why AI is so well developed now.
I feel like after so many years of this game being out and played by many people that they would have some kind of update with the amount of time that has passed
