Babe, I totally get where you're coming from. I've never bought a designer belt because I somehow feel like the ones that are really trendy with the logos are too overtly "fashionable," in the sense that on me, I would feel a little self-concious wearing them. No offense to all the stylish people who rock them. They look great on Insta for sure but in my everyday life, I know I would personally feel like a fashion victim. Plus, I don't really need to wear a belt because all my jeans are high waisted and pretty much stay on anyway. If I were ever to buy one, I would definitely go for Ferragamo. I love that buckle. It doesn't strictly look like a logo to me, just a nice shape on a nice belt. Ooh, the Bottega is really good too! Would look very cool on an outfit. First time I've seen it! (Not a surprise I guess, as I'm really not that interested in belts haha.) Great video and really something to think about. People are always after these more affordable luxe pieces but we really do have to take a pause and wonder if they're necessary to us. We may not realize but these little things add up quickly to a Saint Laurent bag!

I could not agree with you more! I think the appeal with belts is exactly what you said: they are "affordable" (at least compared to a bag - or that's easy to think that way) and maybe that's why it's easy to get sucked in with the trendy ones. I have made my own "mistakes" with buying into trends and luckily learned from my own behaviour. It's so easy to get influenced when you watch people on social media who's job is to influence you to buy things but I think the key is to analyse own style: maybe a designer belt will fit right into it but in stead of blindly getting the same one that is hyped in SoMe, look into the options and get a piece that really suits you for a long time. Because belt money is also money and when making the purchase a couple of times because the first one didn't actually suit you, we are approaching bag money already - and at least for me bags bring the most joy :D Thank you for taking the time to watch and share your thougts - which were right on point as always

i absoloutely agree with you all! I have a kelly belt. Its such an elegant belt. I really love it. Im thinking about to get one from Bottega or Ferragamo. Loewe is also one of my favourite brand. The belt buckle is very cool.

Do you think the Valentino belt is a bit tacky? I consider it more as a classic piece, because of the logo. What do you think? Congrats! The video was amazing!

I do like the Valentino logo and actually did buy the logo belt a couple of years ago. For my estethic eye it looks great 😊 I ended up selling it just because I’m not a designer belt person. Thank you for watching!
