I'm a swamped stressed out mom these days and spending my nights getting some hours into my business. You are the first person to so far from my thousands of youtube video watches thats given so much value in one video without asking for anything in return. That is not only admireable but humble as well. Will def be recommending your expertise to all of my business partners! Keep up the amazing work!
Ok so I have spent two days looking at how to improve my feed on LinkedIn and you just nailed it in one video. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your expertise with us non marketing flailing types and helping us build a business without spending mega bucks on marketing promotions
I had a LinkedIn account that I didn't use for years Now, I am at it, again. This time I am into affiliate marketing. I'll have to check out your blog! Thanks!
Same hear so raw on social media networking. I am so old school lol I am setting my goals for 2020 and this time I am not jut talking about it, I am going to do it, comes high water. They say...can't teach an old dog new tricks.....We'll look out world.
Key points... 1.Learn how to write good copy. 2.Nobody is going to buy from you if they don't know who you are. (If you are a good a communicator this can be done is a short amount of time.) 3.Writing engaging content creates an opportunity from the user to get to know you. (Controversy, Emotional Connection, Data Driven Value, Tactics, Personal Stories of solving a problem. etc) 4. Once you have connected with the user through the content that encouraged them to engage with you, they are more likely to consider your offer when you present it to them.
Great video! As someone who spends a lot of time on LinkedIn, I really enjoyed your breakdown of the post types. I've seen viral versions of most, if not all of them, within my own network. Awesome stuff.
Hands down the best and most concise tips for taking LinkedIn to the next level. I plan on trying all of the strategies and tracking the performance against what I've done previously. My content tends to be informative, helping users do their "homework" without asking them for anything - including, unfortunately any CTA. Thanks Ryan! PS I'll make the controversial point industry focused, but not too hard. Sorta like saying "Facebook v. LinkedIn"...
This video is so useful, I have just been posting long-form informative about my niche, and I always wondered why, my post is not reaching to more people. Now I know why!
Hi Ryan, thank you for a content-packed knowledge about LinkedIn. I have some questions here 1) Do personal account in LinkedIn potentially get more reach than a Company Page? 2) How to drive people to follow a Company Page and create more engagement on the Page? 3) Does sharing content from a Page to Personal work in LinkedIn help to extend the reach? It doesn't seem to work for me. Thank you :)
This is the kind of video sharing I'm looking for and you did it with so much ease and compassion. I definitely would use some of the tactics you shared...wonderful...keep it up Ryan Stewart. I had just subscribed to your channel
Thank you for your time and effort with making this video. It is the best video I found about LinkedIn. I've used some of the strategies and it really helped, and now I'm back for a second look! Much thanks!
Awesome content Ryan! Thanks for some of your proven Linkedin marketing and promotional strategies. I'm still in the process of learning how to use the platform strategically. This short, but highly intense tutorial, has definitely opened my eyes to it's enormous marketing potential. Other than yourself. If you had to name one other Linkedin marketing expert to checkout.Who would it be? Thanks!
Thank you Danks shoes so much great info. I deffently will put your advice to use. Need to learn some of that stuff. Still new to all of this social media marketing .
And again, the key is to find which content can satisfy the reader. What is really appreciated right nowadays is high-quality content that brings value. People don't need spam, and posting for the sake of posting won't bring any results. We need to show who we are and what is valuable to us by delivering value to others. I talk about it on my youtube channel.
Great info Ryan! and BTW... I found your podcast on Stitcher (which you didn't list here) in case others want to go that route. Thanks again for the great value!
Thanks for all of these cool tips, but one question - it seems to me like these tips are mostly for the use of Linkedin for individuals. But what about if we have a brand, how brands suppose to communicate on this platform? Does these all tips can be applicable on brand communication strategy over the Linkedin, or it is completely different story? Thanks in advance :)
Excellent video! I found a few other videos on LinkedIn and they all covered the same material but this one gave some terrific insight into how to leverage the platform effectively! Thanks! I do have one question. This video was posted in August 2019 and you discussed some of the features (the algorithm) being time sensitive in that LinkedIn might change their algorithms soon. As of July 2020, does the information in this video still apply or have they changed have their engagements and velocity are processed?
Very much appreciated Ryan! I plan to view other content from this channel. Though, ‘teaching style’? Possibly because it’s video, it feels more like a passive informal lecture style.
insanely insightful stuff Ryan. I have a question. Do all these info in regards to algorithm, post decay and engagement hold the same value if you're posting through a linkedin business page?
Can someone elaborate on what is said at 9:42 about linkedin 'killing engagement' if you put a link in the body of a post? I have never heard that before and would like to understand that better as I frequently do this. Excellent video by the way.
all of these social platforms want to keep traffic and engagement within the platform. when you post a link, you drive attention away from the platform. facebook did the same thing years ago, look it up you will find more info on it.
No, not true anymore. Does not matter as reported from many users around May 2020. Dwell time before leaving is what matters to get more exposure. Now linkedin on mobile makes it simple to get back to linkedin after closing the external content (browser) so they are probably not so worried that you don't find your way back.

What would be your suggestion on promoting your blog posts on Linkedin??? since you said Linkedin doesn't like external links, but I looking for alternative ways to make people click and read my blog posts on my website? I'm little bit confuse how I shall do
Hey Ryan. Thanks for your content! just one question, is this good for a Company profile? i´m the owner so it´s me on disguise but where is this better to apply, on my profile or my business profile
Thanks Ryan! I'm so torn about posting natively to LinkedIn instead of UA-cam. I'm trying to grow my UA-cam channel and if I post natively to LinkedIn as well, I'm splitting the views. It's worth it in your opinion? My ultimate goal is to drive traffic to my eCourse.
Love the copywriting advice! I've been doing mostly computer science stuff for the last few years and completely forgot about the importance of good copy.
i focus on the ones that matter to my business - youtube, twitter, instagram and linkedin. each requires a different strategy, i rely on help from my offshore team to manage it all
Hey, Ryan great video. Quick question. What do you recommend for people who use LinkedIn for work/school and can’t really go ahead and transform their entire profile to suit a side business they are trying to start? Like for example I am a student and work at an equity firm and my Linkedin profile reflects that. But I want to grow my side business on Linkedin which is nightclub event marketing in which we currently have very few clients. We spent about $90,000 worth of fb ads last year on behalf of our clients and made great profit. BUT I can’t at the moment publicly attach my name to my side business and start using my profile to facilitate lead gen through blasting content on the platform. I was thinking about making a pseudo employee profile and using that profile to push content and start this whole process, what do you think?
na, i think your job should let you be who you are. if they dont support that, than you should not be working there. be yourself, do what makes you happy. you should never have to mask or hide that from anyone
Hi, quick question, when you say they don't like external links to another platform are you sayibng just social media? How about a webinar platform, or your website?
Doesn't matter anymore. As of may 2020 it is reported by several users that it gets the same exposure with or without external links in the post itself. Google it for more info
Hi Ryan! I found this video so helpful for the LInkedIn strategy I'm currently drafting. I was wondering if you happen to know if the #of views and type of views feature is available on Company Pages?
Is it still a good time to focus on posting on LinkedIn? I am just in the process of launching my blog and website and I'm looking for ways to promote it.
Excellent video man good stuff! Since I have a personal profile and a business page on LI, would it be better to share content on my business page and reshare it on the personal one, or always focus to post more on the personal page since it will get more reach? thanks

It's been 3 years since this video was posted. Has the organic reach faded at all? Is LinkedIn still favoring marketers as you described?
its def faded, but linkedin is still the best social network for b2b marketers, by far

1. personal is better
2. same tactics as this
3. not sure to be honest

post as much as you can. i try and do 1 post per day
Good stuff. Ryan, would you recommend putting the tags at the bottom of the post or use them within the content?
yeah, it doesnt hurt, but its not impactful enough to make this list
Great tips, I am going to put some of these into action as we speak 👍
