@@RennieAsh No, it's definitely Exodus. You usually hear the second or third parts of it when Command's screaming at you about Capella going supernova. Joshua, as far as I recall, only plays in "Endgame", the final bomber wing mission where you're at the Knossos portal destroying NTF capships trying to escape into the portal.
Thank you for this soundtrack sir. Freespace and Red Faction games have a special place in my heart mainly thanks to your outstanding atmospheric music.
For me I always though of the tracks as : Genesis: 00:00 Vasudans Exodus: 03:24 Sathanas Leviclius: 07:13 NTF Numbers: 10:02 Shivans Revelation: 12:52 Special Ops Deuteronomy: 16:33 Nebula missions Joshua: 19:15 End game (I remixed the ending scene to this track :)
That'll be cool, but I doubt it is possible. First off, the license to Freespace is stuck in permanent limbo after it traded hands around Interplay one-too-many-times and wound up with Stompy Bot, who had reorganized themselves into Blocplay without transferring ownership of the IP to the new company. Secondly: "Blue Planet" serves that role among both the community and among Volition employees themselves. The fanbase would be in a point of contention if it suddenly got supplanted. Even despite that, the Freespace IP would still have to wait about 30 to 40 more years for the trademark to defacto expire before something official could be done with the franchise at all, let alone a video game. Interplay really did not think the whole thing through. Could've made big bank when the space sim genre was resurrected in 2015.
@Dick Trickle Understandable, but I disagree. Let it be a different story then, but this series is too good to let it go. Then again Freespace's already so many years in hibernation I'm not having high expectations.

@@CaptPatrick01 Nah Blue Planet was ass. Made the story nonsensical and convoluted and didn't even fit with what Freespace was .. if Freespace 3 were officially made it would never play out like that. Also who is going to sue if anyone made a Freespace 3 if no one owns the IP any longer .. you or your mother could make Freespace 3 how is anyone going to come after you for that
"Incoming jump signature! Hostile configuration!"
Bandits incoming!
Man, this series deserves a revival.
no, they would ruin it
It already has in the form of its fans and modders.
@michaelandreipalon359 the non canon sucks and doesn't count
Part one of Blue Planet was really good.. the second half on the other hand... yikes@@diapersFTMFW11
Oh i know, i've been on knossis a lot since. But it would still be nice to have something official, and with a budget. @@michaelandreipalon359
6:00. CAPELLA HAS GONE SUPERNOVA, I REPEAT, CAPELLA HAS GONE SUPERNOVA... goosebumps.
That's what Alpha 1 gets for flying the Ares.
@@bigchunk1 joke's on you, I took the perseus
@@Eltrotraw That was the correct choice.
*laughs in Erinyes*
"This is Allied Command singing off, God Speed pilots...." the last words in Capella
Such a good soundtrack, I miss Freespace.

@@tlfearofthedarkhun387 Wings of Dawn is really nice too (remaster is better looking, original has a slightly different story)
Playing this over Everspace runs. I miss this shit.
its good background music for anything, for example reading sci-fi books or or some action comic books or sth...
The memories. I need to play Freespace 2 again. Such a good game.

Hope you enjoyed it again, alongside FS Port, Silent Threat: Reborn, Derelict, Blue Planet, and others.
This is A-tier video game music. Heck, it's A-tier any media music.

3:24: Last time I heard this, the Capella star went supernova.
I thought they played Joshua in the final mission?

8:50: Battlecruisers jumping in. SHIT HITS THE FAN.
Exodus is my favorite.

Genesis: 00:00 Vasudans
Exodus: 03:24 Sathanas
Leviclius: 07:13 NTF
Numbers: 10:02 Shivans
Revelation: 12:52 Special Ops
Deuteronomy: 16:33 Nebula missions
Joshua: 19:15 End game (I remixed the ending scene to this track :)
03:24 played during slaying ravana so i can't unhear the cyclops locking sound whenever this starts playing
Play Wings of Dawn remaster and you can have 10 locking beeps all going at once with certain secondary weapons lol
I love the Joshua track. It pulls out all the stops lol
Does any other game use this space "opera" kind of music?
Red Faction, I guess, which also shares the same composer.
Levictus is one of the best 7:13
My favorite track.
17:10, a Lucifer? This does not bode well
Can we please get a Freespace 3? Kickstarter anyone? I would pay.
