- Graceful flare of wings and tail feathers in slow motion action closeups of Canada Jays (Perisoreus canadensis). Also known as "Camp Robbers" in the Yukon, these bold and clever Jay birds collect and store food, in the same way as squirrels and chipmunks.
The Canada Jay (also known as Gray Jay, Grey Jay, Whiskey Jack) is a Corvidae (the family of ravens, crows, jays). It lives in Boreal conifer forests across North America north to the arctic tree-line and in sub-alpine forests of the Rocky Mountains down to New Mexico and Arizona.
Nature documentary video made in Yukon, Canada.
