It's great you really see signs of an epic story and adventure, yet IT'S ALL IN CUTSCENES LIKE A MOVIE!!!! That's my favorite part of the joke, you'd think the part of them going to the Dark Lands at least would have had gameplay, or fighting that monster that kills the NPCs. LOts of epic moments and clearly comedic ones like "there's a whole in my bucket" or "Pancake day is on SUnday." This is so great with it's fast cutting showing comedic and what would have been epic moments. But seriously what kind of games have this many skipable cutscenes and no gameplay anywhere in between, this looks like a whole danm movie got thrown in. It would be funny if this was at least 3 hours of cutscenes and NO WAY TO PAUSE, so you either have to skip it all or sit there watching, even funnier if it was just on console with no way to stream it to say a laptop or phone so you could watch it while using the toilet, and also there was some method to the game that prevented this from ever being recorded, so you have to sit through it or miss some parts. I kind of went them to make a movie out of this plot now.

There is actually a fan made game called Skycraft - a fan made Epic NPC game, I have played through it and it is great. It doesn't have some of the newer episodes in it but it does have all the classic references in it. I think I heard somewhere that Vi Va La Dirt League is not only aware but has played through it as well. It is a simple game but very fun to play!
The one with Hamish wanting an apology reminds me of when I’ve aggro’d bad guys just before getting into a cutscene, and can only watch helplessly as my guy gets beaten across the screen while the rest of the characters keep talking like nothing’s happening.

Isaac is probably the only man in fictional history who is shot by a flaming orcish arrow in the chest, and proceeds to merely say: 'oh no.' Either he in that moment had an obscene lack of care for the situation, a peculiar immunity to any form of pain, or literal balls of steel, or perhaps even all of the above.
The Awkward cut scene is a lot like how Starfield's conversations screws up, where sometimes NPCs walk into the conversation, quite literally. Whether they stand in between the speaker and the player, lurk around behind the speaker, or even speaking (and interrupting the actual NPC the player is trying to listen). I really hope VLDL would do a Starfield Logic series.

Once had a glitch cutscene in heavenly sword where i had sliced the neck of an enemy which triggered the cutscene and during the cutscene every time it focused on a character their neck would be spraying a fountain of blood. Was funny to see everyone like that and not caring.
As an indie game developer, I spend many hours at a time working on my game, deep into programming and game logic and trying to figure out how to make things work in a game. Viva la dirt league videos are always popping up on my feed. That's why I watch so many of them, to destress, take a break, and, ultimately, to realize that I should pay homage to this show someday with little jokes in my game.

The "Awkward Cutscene" sketch pretty much sums up 75% of the dialogue in Dragon Age: Inquisition, at least in Haven and Skyhold--made exponentially worse when Maryden would be singing instead of just playing her lute.
It's actually amazing to see how good looking baradun is after the latest update. I honestly didn't think they could make him any better looking than he already was.
Ben throws down pretty good in his cutscene. Sword twirl is safe, slide kick has i-frames, and he had that vicious headbutt. That settles it, Ben needs to be a fighting game character.
I have seen hundreds of "try not to laugh" videos. The videos you guys are putting out does not need that kind of title. Sharp, witty, enjoyable. I highly recommend this channel.

The comedy skits are funny, and I love watching them. However, it hurts as we have all been there more than once when it comes to these types of cutscenes.
I think the deceptive prompt conversation should have made the cut, as those can trigger game ruining cutscenes, up there with free/premium choice scenes and high/low karma scenes.
I really need a game, an actual game, of these guys. Fully meta, taking itself so seriously, intentionally untraditional. Just all of the bad things about games amplified in a fun way.
For that second one with Ben, you'd have thought that he'd confirm that the game keeps a quest log (or not) before skipping so much. A good rule of thumb is "If your quest log doesn't tell you where to go, there's always somebody who is more than willing to tell you where to go..." Alan was great in a couple of these. It takes real talent to act as if you have none. The last one: Developers were certainly lazy...They didn't even rig up an unskippable cutscene (a callout for a couple of other skits) as an excuse for lack of gameplay. I hope the company didn't charge their clients for that expansion... (Bethseda, I'm looking at you while saying that)
I can really appreciate Alan's acting skills in the Bad Acting skit. Must've been pretty hard to sound and look so unconvincing.

Alan was great in a couple of these. It takes real talent to act as if you have none.
The last one: Developers were certainly lazy...They didn't even rig up an unskippable cutscene (a callout for a couple of other skits) as an excuse for lack of gameplay. I hope the company didn't charge their clients for that expansion...
