fire tankers working Denali NP Riley fire - July 1, 2024

On my way to Denali today and the park is closed and evacuations in place.
We saw the fire tankers coming to Summit Lake which is about 30 miles south of the fire site. It was really nice watching them drop down and fill up with water. The smaller single engine aircraft were filling up at another lake I could not see. This has been ongoing all day. I hope they get the fires under control here and pray for rain also.
