    Thank you! I've now used this tower 3 times and modified it a bit(swapped every other solid block with a repeater leading into the dropper and used redstone dust as opposed to torches on the other side. Couldn't get it to work otherwise) but everytime I build it I watch this video again just to refresh my memory on how to get it right. They run silent and effectively. Thanks to you and Mumbo Jumbo I'm finally learning about the glories of redstone.

I can totally build designs from other people’s tutorials, but a lot of the components are still a mystery to me. Comparators for example, I just done understand what they do!! 😂

    Awesome explanation. I am just starting to learn Redstone and this video really helped me understand why I placed certain block in certain places following tutorials. So far it seems like you are arranging the tutorial in progression with the prior video, if so, that's awesome. Introduce one new thing in a video, then go into detail about it in the next one makes it real easy to understand. I never knew why or how a clock worked until now. Thank you and can't wait for the next one.

    Always need item elevators thats for sure. I use GLASS ELEVATOR 90% of the time. Simple, fun to watch, and can be put anywhere with 3x3 space. The cool thing is items will shoot out from any of the single blocks you break in the center of the 3x3 pillar.

    1.12.2: use an observer facing upward above comparator, above that put redstone instead of redstone torch, above that put observer, above that put redstone, etc. This replaces the blocks of netherite that are normally horizontally between the droppers and observers. This isn't a perfect system (i get 62 out of a stack of 64) but it is a silent version of methods used for 1.12.2. I cover mine with carpet at ground level.

    IMPORTANT READ IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEMS If any one is having trouble with the back up in the second dropper all you have to do to fix it is, switch the comparator back to normal (the light in the back should turn off) and find where there is a piece of redstone next to the comparator. Then you place a block in front of the redstone ,( which is next to the first dropper.) Then play redstone on that block and the problem should be fix

    So that click we are hearing is as quiet as a dropper elevator can get?

    For some reason my torches wont flicker and i have tried redstone dust and what that does is works but the items dont make it all the way up and get left at random heights

    I’m struggling with placing those final observers that look down
    they seem to turn to the side 🥲

    It's not silent

    Mine keeps getting stuck on the second from the bottom dropper. If there's not something in the bottom dropper the signal isn't getting sent up?

    Hey great video. Is there a reason for redstone torches? Can you also use redstone dust? Or powered rails? Or even redstone lamps for a fun effect?

    For all the Java players like myself, replace the redstone torches with redstone lamps as a temporary solution and the whole thing should work. If there's any other block or something of the sort that activates when the obersever sends a signal and the top ovserver sees the change than feel free to suggest as i am a very new player in the game.

      I think also noteblocks work? I'll try and see.

      Okay noteblocks don't really work, and also you should put the repeater on 4 ticks so that no items will remain in the droppers.

    Why not just a soul-sand column with a dispenser at the bottom?

      They’re 3 wide this is 2 wide. Bit more convenient for compact storge systems

    Doesn't work in 1.18 Java for me. The redstone torches don't update so the items only travel up to the third dropper.

    Anyone else watch this hoping it was an item elevator that made no noise?

    • @farlapjones
      @farlapjones 3 роки тому

      If you just use glass with dust connecting the droppers its silent. Redstone signal is not broken when glass is diagonally to it. Wish I could explain better but hopefully you knew it already.

    • @farlapjones
      @farlapjones 3 роки тому

      It leaves 1 item in the final top dropper though 👌

    Just stack a block and redstone torch on top of it, combined with a comparator clock at the bottom. Lot cheaper.

    • @Prowl8413
      @Prowl8413  4 роки тому +1

      That also makes an ungodly amount of noise from the droppers. And can leave items in the droppers.

      @@Prowl8413 I love the noise of droppers in the morning. A bubble column is the best option, and the cheapest.

    Not everybody explains the redstone circuits the way you did in this vid. I’m thinking it’s because they are just copying somebody else. I will check out more of you stuff. Only criticism I can give is get a pop and shock filter for your mic. Most people don’t listen to you tube through a home theater system but it will help those of us that do.

    Thanks for the explanation. Too bad you couldn't have a like a video in video of a second account looking into the droppers or hoppers or what ever when you are explaining when items are moving around the insides of stuff. Love these videos and so happy to see so many of them coming out.

    does this not work on java? the observers aren't burning out my torches
