Get the FSR wheel HERE: mozaracing.com/fsr-formula-wheel?ref=c-4JjjEiDpYy49 PS. Small correction: Unlike what I claim in this video, the Formula V2 has a 270mm diameter, not 260mm.
Hey Ermz, I know you have said in previous videos that you will be doing less product reviews because it doesn’t get many views. But I love these vids from you. So could you review more sim racing stuff that’s came out lately. :) nice vid
The only thing I don't like is the RPM bar as opposed to individual LED lights. It is not precise in that regard, and gives the impression of bling over function. I cannot argue that the wheel otherwise looks really nice, and I love the display. This is something that Fanatec will need to follow with soon in my opinion.
Great review as usual! Very concise and straight to the point, yet lots of helpful information. Also comes as authentic / unbiased. Well done! Can't wait to hear your take on Logitech's new DD base and wheel...
Coming from a TM SF1000 owner, Formula wheels don't make sense for simracing because the rim diameter is small because a open wheel cockpit is small. Unless it's for no hud immersion you basically made every point to why the GS is a better rim
Honestly, perforated leather is about as "good" as alcantara. If you have sweaty hands, you will still need to clean the leather as all the grime from your hands will clog the perforations sooner or later
The reason this device uses a standard LCD instead of OLED is probably because of the same reason the Nintendo Switch originally didn't launch with one, and the Steam Deck doesn't have one. There are only a few companies in the world that produce OLED displays, and it's just too expensive to create custom OLEDs for it to be viable on a low scale market.
Thanks for the great reviews. Subbed. I just got the Podium DD1 F1 bundle and You, Chris Haye, Boosted Media, and of course SRG have been super helpful understanding all of the settings for the DD1 motor, buttons on the wheel, etc.
Id be happy with an R9 and a CS Wheel but its out of stock everywhere in Europe and either on back order or the retailer claims they will have new stock in 1 to 2 months. Buying from Moza directly means paying 168€ in shipping and probably an additional 50€ handling fees and import tax/duty. What is going in here???
How convenient that just after fanatec released their small factor dd, all of the sudden these never before seen conpanies started popping up and releasing same design wheels/bases. Fanatec should sue all of them. To be fair this brings competition to amateur sim racing market which will increase quality and lower prices, as fanatec was unrivaled before.
You might want to listen to a JRE episode with Mike Baker about Chinese products undercutting rivals in every sector. This is a premium product, for a very good price. Things that make you go hmmmm. Yeaaaaaah.
i wonder if the difference in the control layout has anything to do with the fact that there is a screen taking up a bunch of real estate. hmm. who knows.
fanatech should use magnets that are not flat use round magnets like a ball having 2 flat surface hitting each other will make allot of noise if they used 1 flat magnet and 1 round one it would lessen the noise
you know ur old when a display on a sim racing wheel beats the resolution of your first pcs monitor XD All jokes aside. This wheel looks dope.. or something i could get used to
When Moza makes their own real car steering wheel like Fanatec i think thats when they should compete fanatec is clear, using £700 steering wheel wont make you go fast
Why didn’t you touch on the lack of the customization of the display. I feel like with a display being the selling point you missed the target on giving customers a true review of this wheel. The lack of third party software support like sim hub is a big no no and you didn’t bring it up.
If the GS had a usb connection, I´d buy it in a heartbeat to use in my Simagic. Looks greater than Simagic´s offerings, but at least I´m assured that thei products are higher quality. Still both of Moza´s rims are greatly overpriced IMO.
Love the wheel, love it, BUT I'm disappointed, no support for PlayStation...! Only Windows. I'm so sad, was going to buy one, but NOT any more, until official support for PlayStation!
Don't buy into the hype, they are new to the game and plagued with software and hardware issues. I own a R9 and a CS GT wheel, my experience hasn't been great. Hope MOZA will do me good but it takes them 3 days to get back to you. After sale service is a abysmal
So many knobs and buttons for a game that wont let you set an ERS mode. They even HAD more modes and reduced it to just overtake. Even Automobilista and AC Modded F1’s have recvery and deployment modes. $600 for a wheel marketed to play the worst F1 experience,
I don’t want to distract from what is definitely a new proposition to the sim market. However $649 is the price excluding VAT so if shipping to the Uk you need add a cool 20% ($130). Plus another $100 shipping. It’s definitely a very interesting price point but at nearly $900 once delivered it is still a lot cheeper than other similar products, but the Fanatec killer everyone is proclaiming, lets wait and see.
So far people seem happy with their quality but their stuff costs the same or more than Fanatec here in Australia & they're essential a clone product... Why would I bother?
Yeah yeah yeah, who cares when Asatec Invicta??? It set the NEW benchmark OVER every other FFB motor that ever existed! When will you buy one and review it? It's now Moza Shmoza!
What's the point of all the animal magic if the moza parts aren't available. This whole crap overseas should be 169 € freight costs. there is nowhere to buy the parts unless i swing my credit card and pay 169€ extra - fresh from the ship from asia. Fanatec just as bad!
I'd love to buy stuff like this, but sadly I have to work for a living so I can put food on the table for my family and pay the bills. Keep hoping for that lottery win though!

PS. Small correction: Unlike what I claim in this video, the Formula V2 has a 270mm diameter, not 260mm.
Did you ever choose the beamng winners? Great video
Still to small. No one want 270-280mm we want 300mm wheels
@@SIMRIG412 lots of people want smaller wheels.
Im surprised Fanatec never came out with a wheel like this. The market was long overdue for a mid range formula wheel with a screen. Thank you Moza!
The sf1000
@@Adjust0 I feel like not everyone will want that wheel simply because it has a Ferrari logo lol but that is also a good option
@@Adjust0 That's Thrustmaster though, not Fanatec. Or is it Fanatec compatible?!
Fanatec has Formula 1 wheel with screen, but cost around 2000USD
@@yuumetal2363 They dont though? Their most expensive wheel is the BMW M4 Podium wheel.
Hey Ermz, I know you have said in previous videos that you will be doing less product reviews because it doesn’t get many views. But I love these vids from you. So could you review more sim racing stuff that’s came out lately. :) nice vid
Thanks. We're definitely still turning down the majority of requests, but sometimes the product is a good fit for a fun video!
The only thing I don't like is the RPM bar as opposed to individual LED lights. It is not precise in that regard, and gives the impression of bling over function. I cannot argue that the wheel otherwise looks really nice, and I love the display. This is something that Fanatec will need to follow with soon in my opinion.
Anything less than 300mm is just too small for me. But I love that Moza came out swinging after that R16 fiasco.
Thats was she said
1:14 bro had no filter
The perfect weapon for myself to finish 8th place.
Great review as usual! Very concise and straight to the point, yet lots of helpful information. Also comes as authentic / unbiased. Well done! Can't wait to hear your take on Logitech's new DD base and wheel...
"Behind you is no one" ... wait a second, did they just call me last?
Coming from a TM SF1000 owner, Formula wheels don't make sense for simracing because the rim diameter is small because a open wheel cockpit is small. Unless it's for no hud immersion you basically made every point to why the GS is a better rim
Some people like to simulate real life equipment i heard
@@lovelaugh7299 fr I would want to make a sim where the rim is infront of me and easy to see
Thats why most prof somracers have multiple wheels for multiple raceclasses
Howdy, a couple of video suggestions: 1- Real difference between gear vs belt vs direct drive wheels. 2 - Best budget wheels. 3 - Best budget pedals.
Hope they do a formula wheel in the CS price range. Already have a GS and the FSR is useless to me since I'm only playing in VR.
Exactly! Don't need it in VR. I'll wait for a CS F1 wheel or I'll make my own.
The seamless transition definitely made me smash that subscribe button!
In all fairness that was a good transition.
Honestly, perforated leather is about as "good" as alcantara. If you have sweaty hands, you will still need to clean the leather as all the grime from your hands will clog the perforations sooner or later
Lol the dig at esports players 😂 but true tho people gotta start lifting weights bruh
Will you review Logitech’s new DD wheel?
They didn't send one!
watch fanatec come out with something crazy now
The reason this device uses a standard LCD instead of OLED is probably because of the same reason the Nintendo Switch originally didn't launch with one, and the Steam Deck doesn't have one. There are only a few companies in the world that produce OLED displays, and it's just too expensive to create custom OLEDs for it to be viable on a low scale market.
as soon as moza will lunch console compatible sim direct drive they will be the dominant sim racing hardware in the market
Thanks for the great reviews. Subbed. I just got the Podium DD1 F1 bundle and You, Chris Haye, Boosted Media, and of course SRG have been super helpful understanding all of the settings for the DD1 motor, buttons on the wheel, etc.
Ouch sorry you have a fanatec base 😢
The average sim racer 😂

What is going in here???
romain grosjean uses a cube controls. he showed it in its recent setup tour ^^
1:13 lmao
My man with the McLaren hat. i know we didn't have a great season but man, I love McLaren. Also extra points for using Gran Turismo music.
a OLED display on this would had looked fantastic "upping the cost in the process of course"
Amazing review. I like the small screen available on these steering wheels, it gives such a F1 feel to it.
is making the screen OLED even possible? Seems like there'd be a massive burn in issue
Apparently the more modern OLEDs are way less susceptible to that now, some folks even using them as PC monitors these days.
I play on oled monitors just fine.
How convenient that just after fanatec released their small factor dd, all of the sudden these never before seen conpanies started popping up and releasing same design wheels/bases. Fanatec should sue all of them.

1:14 pure gold
are you sure the usb-cables are out yet? did not found them in their EU shop :(
Hey Ermz, I actually like it. Fanatec gets the edge because of the massive ecosystem
Lmao 1:15, just cause of that joke you get my sub
Think the SF1000 from TM is far better value.
It looks weird though, at least it does to me
You might want to listen to a JRE episode with Mike Baker about Chinese products undercutting rivals in every sector. This is a premium product, for a very good price.

A bit out of place here, but what do you think of Automobilista 2s post 1.4 physics as an iracing player?
Paddle shifters sure are LOUD and clicky
Wow, dudes clavicle width is referenced in his sim gear review...twice.
can u buy the moza hub and use this wheel with the VRS base?
You can use it with the thrustmaster rim right?
Word of the day: Clavicle
Can't wait to 3d print an adapter to use this with the Logitech pro DD wheel.
You can do that?
@@Adjust0 it's possible
Or you could buy their adapter
Great review Ermz!
Christ, I hope I never get to the point where the bots are trying to replicate me...
interesting choice of GT7 score lol
Could I use this on a simucube 2 base?
Yes as long as you sell it and buy a moza wheel
Is it somehow possible to Connect this wheel to a fanatec dd base?
I heard that Moza was only compatable with a windows PC. Is this true?
a review cant be sponsored, a showcase can. it has to be one or the other
Do you know if all the buttons work on xbox or playstation? I know some steeringwheels where not all the buttons work
can you share informatio about weight of this wheel?
fanatech should use magnets that are not flat
use round magnets like a ball
having 2 flat surface hitting each other will make allot of noise

it would lessen the noise

Does it work on a fanatec DD2 on PS4?
And WE STILL DONT HAVE THE QR2 LOL
moza = socks in my language
You're saying the 2 CM (less than 1 inch) change in diameter, is an issue due to your "wide clavicles" ? Just making sure I heard that right. haha
When Moza makes their own real car steering wheel like Fanatec i think thats when they should compete fanatec is clear, using £700 steering wheel wont make you go fast
its so disappointing that it became narrower from 300mm to 280mm
Will this work on the R5?
Where do I get that awesome Mcclaren Hat?
Well at least I have that hat.
The display quality is soooooo underwhelming, I think I'll pass and just grab the GS.
Why didn’t you touch on the lack of the customization of the display. I feel like with a display being the selling point you missed the target on giving customers a true review of this wheel. The lack of third party software support like sim hub is a big no no and you didn’t bring it up.

FSR or GT GS2?
Does it work for xbox?

Warning !
The Moza FSR is a good wheel but the screens can't change during the race !!!
great video, wish that discount code still worked lol
Me too.

Thank you.
No OLED, smaller formfactor and no simhub support for the display.
I stopped considering this wheel by now.
Simucube or moza ?
Would get this but don't have the money 😕
So basically, THE SCREEN is the weakest point
If he's cracked the knobs on his wheel, #1 he's not paying attention & #2 he's probably not very good at racing.
Crazy how ppl use Fanatec's name to sell other products lmaooo
So many knobs and buttons for a game that wont let you set an ERS mode. They even HAD more modes and reduced it to just overtake. Even Automobilista and AC Modded F1’s have recvery and deployment modes.
