- Honda Racing return to the British Superbike Championship with a new look Fireblade SP and a new line up for the 2020 season!
Honda Racing is pleased to unveil the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP that Andrew Irwin and brother and newcomer Glenn Irwin will race in the BSB 2020, as well as Tom Neave and Davey Todd in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.
Watch as the Honda BSB team start working on the bikes, fresh from the assembly line, back in December 2019 to prepare them for the new season. You'll see the inner workings of the engineering team, their collaboration with the racers, the thought process behind bike adjustments, as well as the printing of a fuel tank with the help of partners Evotech.
After a delay to the start of the season due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the British Superbike Championship is set to go ahead with Round 1 taking place at Donington Park 7/8/9 August. The series will take place over six rounds and each weekend will host three British Superbike races, which means this year’s title will be decided across an 18-race season.
The debut of the all-new 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP has been eagerly awaited on British soil by both the Honda Racing team and BSB fans alike, and in early March the team enjoyed a promising first test on the new machinery in Spain.

I went down the wrong carrier path, I’d love to be involved in developing race bikes, that must be so rewarding
Did all that locally...nothing big just club races...yes...it is very much satisfying...before retirement ..was running my own bike shop and my own racing team...
You can change if you want to...
you're not alone budd 😁
@Liu Kang yeah. also that job need people expert at machinery, metallurgy, electric, etc. 24-7 working. and extra stress from loses and troubles. it paid well but it need more than passion.
Man I wish I could have a career with those guys tho
I can't put it into words how satisfying it is to watch my dream bike getting race tuned. Eagerly waiting for next video
Honda, PLEASE make some of these parts like the adjustable handle bars available for the public.
It is bennet bike, is a private team tha develops its own kit...
You can buy after market adjustable handlebars and footpegs the same quality they made theirs...
YES! great video. The engineering behind the scenes is what draws me to racing. I'd rather be in the pits than watching the racing.
Get it boys! Can't wait to see what the new blade can do!
What a fantastic series. Can't wait for the next episode 👍
Wow, what a fantastic insight! Credit to the videographer/editor, a very well made episode. Is it possible to find out who produced the video?
Honda you are out doing yourselves, with the resent content. The small documentary about privateer on the TT, and now this 👌🏻🙌🏻
The power of dreams.
Great to see Honda Racing working with Evotech Performance. Two class acts 👏🏻
Im so happy with my 2017 Fireblade Version. Very impressive Video 😎👊✊🏍🤝
I was a Honda guy for decades. Tons of V4s and loved working on their engines. Did a RVF400 engine rebuild one year. Near perfect engineering in that motor! That was in the golden years. Then in the late 90s the accountants take over. It hasn't been an Engineering led organisation for many, many years. Also, they didn't listen to what the people wanted. We cried out for a V4 sports bike for how long? Finally, after the John McGuinness fiasco, Honda lost me...for life. Outsourced ECU code (buggy) to China??@!? that near crippled him and cut short his career. New Blade: Too little...too late. Guess most of their profits have been going into RCV-213V dev and MM93's paycheck!
What are you on about? They participate in more Motorsports than any other company. SuperGT,MotoGP,F1,imsa, a load of other smaller car/motorcycle racing classes.
They use racing as a training ground for their engineers, just like they always have.
Watch they’ll be doing in WSBK in a couple of years.
Vr46 for ever
Thoroughly enjoyable insight!
Absolutely brilliant series👍🏻
Got the bike early for the 2021 season, 😂😂😂
nice build
Very interesting video plus great to see Joeys pic at the beginning...... #3
How about a nice new RVF, 1000cc single sided swing arm
Absolutely right!
It's already out...it's called the RSV4. How long have we been waiting for Honda to produce theirs? It would cost at least twice as much as the Blade though.
There's slowly more and more rumours and patents coming out that suggest Honda is looking at a V4 superbike for the road. Definitely a homogation special just like the VFR750R and RVF750 though.
The Honda V4 sports bikes were never cheap.
@@samuelcurran714 we heard the V4 rumors for years

POWERFULL IT'S AMAZING.
Amazing bike!
It sure is!

True Fan of honda, love CBR series, but my request is to bring CBR 150 r new generation in India....❤❤
cant wait for the next episode... :)
Honda has been a great great bike. Can never go wrong with Honda's
3:15 a big reason I bought this bike his honest reaction
I can't wait to go to school and study Honda
Nice Blade

Interesting that Honda doesn't give you the original CAD. Must be very sensitive with the data.
Parts 2 please 🙏
Awesome video guys. Can I ask why you need to 3D scan and "Reverse Engineer" those components when Honda R&D would have access to the native 3D model on which the bike was designed, which would be more accurate and have dimensions unaffected by production tolerances?
I would have thought Honda would share such models with their official race teams.
I love this bike😘
Awesome 🔥🔥
I wish I could drive the new Honda.
It's mega cool.
one unfortunately I can not ride on mc anymore. due to balance issues.
Same here man, but then I mean bank balance 😅
Dream job.
Superb.
How much are you actually allowed to replace on the bike? In this video it seems like every single part is scanned and changed.
Still a way from ZX10RR,WSBK 5 time of champion 2015-2019 by Rea.
Undisputed champion of the world x5. Go jr 65
Nice!
Part 2?
Please explain the Rubber Brake Lines, and the non forged wheels? Oh, and why this bike is getting spanked in WSBK?
sir, please get in line. we are serving the vertical frame weld looking weird, the non qs or blip on the standard, the insane price for inline4 tech, and your WSBK chirp, theres a number for the motogp rider struggling line. like how is this possible honda.
nice bike 👍
Cool
Nice..
I have them succesfully.
@1:47, redacted sponsor(right sleeve of the Williams chap)....fallen out with a provider at this early juncture? Did they supply the McG/Martin software/gearboxes the other year?
Must say I`ve enjoyed seeing the team do well once more, even though never been a Honda man.
Bring back CBR 600RR.... please :P
I wanna know who does the ECU tuning and flashing and how?
They tested it, they they proceeded to crash into anyone they could see....
Does anyone know what i have to do to go down this career path of being a mechanic for superbike racers?
Beast bike ✊🇮🇩
hope honda consider your few modification on that bike
Wait... are they twins?
wheres the part 2
Part 2 mana???????????
👍🆙 for my future bike #muge_rider_motovlog see ya peace ✌
Any damage issues of using quick shifter?
Yes the tires explode.
Yeah no. Alvaro Bautista isn't really happy with the CBR this season

I wonder will Honda go this season without trying to cheat to win.
How'd they cheat?
@@hfr8343 they where caught using the wrong feul in their stocker and disqualified at the nw200, Marquez stalls on the grid which is a pit lane start but the race start was held back until he got restarted and back on the grid. They think they can do wat ever they want
@@bluebee7689 Sheesh, hopefully they straighten up.
One Heart HONDA 💝
SHOCHIRA HONDA 💝
When I heard about japan , the first thing come in my mind is super bikes and nissan GTR and Supra
Honda bring ur bikes as value for money like Kawasaki zx10r. Honda is overpriced in India. Give fight for Kawasaki in Indian market😊 Is their any news of CBR 600??? Kawasaki 636 is making youngsters go crazy. Waiting for Honda 600🔥 🥵
Bro then Ducati is overpriced too
Bro Ducati sales are very very less den all other superbikes bikes.
Arrowes
i thought i would see japanese people making it
Honda hasn't make a superbike worth talking about since the RC51
Rc30 the best and nicest bike Honda ever built
HOnda will dominated the race
plz put the 999cc V5 in it or at least a V4 like aprilia ;)
3 Gear = 267kph... 😬
😇😇
Other than Moto GP. Does Honda even compete in any other series. They seem to have lost the lore of Honda.
World Superbike, BSB, pretty much every other Superbike championship out there, EWC (Endurance world championship), IOM TT (+ other road racing events),... not mentioning the off road side of things.
They’re not as dominant, but there’s still a lot of series and great bikes.
Give me 1 pleasee cbr 1000rr r .. pleaseeeeee 🤲
Do a video transformation Asimo into a car
lokbu
Both John Guinness and Guy Martin left Honda after crashes. That's all what I need to know about your racing bikes.
Lol 😂 you literally showed one biggest flaw in standard bike.. The insanely uncomfortable & useless for taller riders... The very high footpegs & controls.
There will no doubt be aftermarket controls from EvoTech (they obviously have a head start) and the other usual suspects. Either way, a smaller bike didn't hurt RSV4 sales all that much...although I'm talking as a track bike, not a road bike.
Get a cb650r lol. This bike is not meant for your sunday cruise, its meant for racing. All the best racers are small. As a 6'2 man its a reality I face daily.
If you want a comfortable bike get a goldwing
2 Jealous Yamaha riders hit the dislike.
Superbike Discovery guess you dont watch WorldSBK ay
@@LilStarBeech I do indeed. Hope the Honda does well this year with Bautistaa!!
Yamaha is better
Ducati eat this!
