Blame Konami with that, meta is literally snake eyes and it’s different variants. Yubel and other decks that can compete against them are few and far between.
It's amazing how 99% of tenpai players have absolutely no matchup knowledge, shotgun all their interaction the second their cards start glowing, and then run headfirst into obvious disruption and just immediately die. When that deck gets hit, gold rank is going to suddenly explode overnight with "former" diamond and master players
You think tenpai player is reading and playing the game? They just hit everything that glows (believe me most tenpai player did that), and doing the same combo from a tutorial/replay from YT

To think that speedroid terrortop was limited because of being a free summon and a search in one card, and now we have diabellstar and apprentice doing the same and its fine.
Finally illusion beast chimera V2. I hope more support arrives for the illusion type monsters, they have really neat effects but they need a solid connector(engine) and synergy to get working properly.
Been playing with Chimera Builds since it debut the Illusion monsters and I've been enjoying the arch-type greatly. My favorite build have been mixing them with the Evil Heroes which works surprisingly well (can't wait for when the new support drops in the future). I do have a Chimera Yubel build which I've been tinkering lately. Hey if Meta gonna Meta, I may as well hold some ground.
I love your content, but I don't enjoy watching losses that much, especially multiple ones. I already know that Yubel is the best deck. Seeing an unbeatable board and thinking "wow, I can't believe he outs this", then watching a loss doesn't feel great to me haha
my mans doesnt use Golgoil or Emissary you dont know what you are missing or Talons of Shurilane like dood it makes tge deck so much better and adding the old Berfomet and Gazelle its extra fodder when you banish the fusion card for tge OTK
This deck still needs a boss monster that is unaffected by card effects, every archetype ha one. Also if you get ash or imperm on turn 1 and you don't have a poly card, you're done. Needs a monster that has a fusion effect. Used to play this deck and it was a solid 5/10, now it's a 6/10 so still weak and below top tear, also expensive af, every card in extra is UR.

I built this yesterday and love all the new illusion cards, I just wish we had more spell and trap cards to go along with them

At least with those cards, you have to give up a card to special summon them.

Nightmare apprentice is a crazy card really. The only piece ilusion lacks is an ED search for their monsters.
