I remember seeing a UA-cam video where the creator thought the Assault Mode monsters could've been the answer to fighting the Meklord Emperors instead of Accel Synchro. That was a really interesting take.
@@germandragon8664 I think the creator actually addressed the OVA in their video, saying that the fact an OVA was made for these monsters implied they had more of a role to play outside of a marketing ploy. Obviously that never happened. In the anime, Crow had the strategy of using Aurora The Northern Lights to use his Synchro effects without risking his monsters and Assault Mode does pretty much the same thing. Definitely would have been interesting to see.
I haven't played with or kept up with the 'Assault Mode' 'archetype' since Edison format so thanks for showing me how the deck is played in the modern day.
Back in duel links, I always liked attacking with red dragon archfiend then play assault mode activate. I haven’t played those assault cards in a long time since Arc-V arrived in duel links.
Wait, why didn't the Albaz player use the Albaz & SD/AM to summon Alba Lenatuz? The criteria is only dragons, right? 🤔 Or did some card does restrict it?

More or less, I used this deck in the Triangle event lol.
I don't have a single Synchro deck, and not even the Swoswo structure. 😅
