- In this video I stay true to form and talk for WAY longer than I was intending to about what has been going on with my Leukemia journey thus far!
This video is for family, friends, and people who have been following or are just finding my channel right now. Please do not feel the need to watch the entire thing. I think of this like a time capsule that can be watched later and as a reminder for me about everything that has happened.
I recorded this on the 24th of January 2024 after being diagnosed with Leukemia two weeks or so before on the 9th of January.
I'm one of the nutters who watched the whole video. I think you are helping a lot of people by talking about this subject. I'll be following your journey. I'm rooting for you despite the fact you are wrong about "One" by Metallica! All the best mate.
Dude, I hope you are gonna get over it. You seem to be a very nice and sincere person, so you probably have good caring people around you, who will support you in your recovery way. By making these reaction videos you also created a small online community that now also wishes you the best. Hope to see you back in good health making new reactions.
In 2022 I was diagnosed with primary myelofibrosis which is a rare bone marrow blood cancer. My spleen was about 23cm (regular is 9cm?). My belly was huge and I'm a skinny guy (78kg, 185cm). We started pharmacological chemotherapy treatment. I've been taking 500mg of Hydroxcarabamid everyday since then and my body took it very well. I didn't need to take regular chemotherapy treatment. Right now I feel very well and everything is just fine. I just have to control my health and remember to take my pills.
Anyway that's my story. I've just wanted to tell you that I'm a fan of the reactions since Ride the Lighting and I hope you will get better very quickly!
Oh, btw - last year I realeased my very first song called Wake Up. The project is called Dead Ghoul Cannibal. Give a listen in your spare time.

I lost my grandpa from cancer in 2018, and am going to lose my grandma within the next month, from cancer.. I hope you pull through buddy, wouldn't want to see another person lost from this wretched disease, GET WELL SOON BUDDY!
It really breaks my heart to hear someone say that getting sick will ‘put their family in debt for millennia’, it’s such an outrageous concept to people who don’t live in America and just seems so unfair.

Thank you! Just yesterday I reached the end of my first round of treatment and my doctor said everything was going so well, and there are so few cancer cells left in my bone marrow that we are going to skip the second treatment and go right into the third one! Which is still pretty intense but such good news!

The literal gasp I had when I read that you are fighting against cancer is just comparable to what if a close friend had this on their life. I sincerely hope you can make it through, and we are going to support you for the length of this battle!

watched the whole video and all i can say is WOW. you are such a dedicated human being patrick. if i knew this was going on behind the scenes, i wouldn’t have expected you to continue to deliver content. all i can say is thank you for all that you do. you’re a very hardworking person and never in my life have i watched a more dedicated creator. the amount of care you put in your content and audience is surreal and all of us appreciate that.

Keep fighting, you've got this. You'll have it beat in no time. I have followed your channel for a while now but never commented before you're video explaining what you're going through. I just wanted to say I went through a similar situation and music definitely pushed me through.
I'm pretty much back to my old self now and I watched the video where you mentioned sentenced and poisonblack, two of my very favourite bands along with a lot of other Finnish bands like charon, amorphis, insomnium and they were all instrumental in pushing me through the toughest times. I am very sorry to hear this whole story! Through my life I’ve had pneumonia 9 times. I was hospitalized for 10 days a lot of those times. I cannot imagine having cancer. You are right now my favorite UA-cam channel and just take your time and focus on your heath. I cannot wait until future projects like s&m and garage days. I will pray for you and stay strong!
PS: I’ve never watched a whole video of yours without doing a little bit of skipping around. But this… I’ve listened to every moment. Keep us updated!

Hey patrick. It was really sad for me to see that you got cancer, i wish you all the best and hope you’ll recover. Recently i’ve been rewatching some of your metallica videos, which is funny bc i remember when i first discovered your channel i was skipping through the videos because i couldn’t listen for hours and now i’m even rewatching them🤣 Like you mentioned i also love to listen to music where i don’t speak the language. I’m from Norway but a few years ago i discovered an artist from Italy, his name is Vasco Rossi and he’s a really big deal there. I’m actually travelling to italy this summer to see him live. It might not be your style of music but you should give him a chance! Again i wish you all the best all the way from Norway! :)

Stay strong my friend. I've been following you ever since the Ride the Lightning reaction video. It showed up in my recommended and I started watching it and I honestly just got hooked and kept watching even tho I was supposed to do something else at that time lol. I just started this video but I do come from a country that speaks a different language than english. I come from Quebec (Canada) and we speak french. These are songs made in Quebec bands and they are in french. Feel free to check them out and I would love if to know what you think of them. These 3 bands are some of the most popular here and every now and again they come out with some good ones that keep getting played on the radio and they get stuck in your head (We have a law that forces radio stations to play french speaking songs and not only english speaking songs, so we hear the good ones often.)

I've been following you for some time, and I hope your going to get better soon. Now I am from a country called Croatia in europ and some of my favotite bands are Parni Valjak, Prljavo kazalište and Hladno Pivo. So if you want you can chek them out. Much love to you and I know you will beet it.
A band I like is called Mago de Oz, of course is Spanish but I always keep listening to what in my opinion are their best albums: la leyenda de la mancha, Finisterra, Gaia and Gaia II. If you want to take a listem to them I recommend one of the albums mentioned earlier, a very nice folk metal band.

Blood sugar. I have a friend with pancreas removed due to cancer, one with most of their pancreas removed due to other complications. Both comment the cancer treatment is nothing compared to the grind and math of checking blood sugar and carb guessing. Hopefully the treatment ends up being effective, and that’s the end of it, but if blood glucose checks continue, give your fingers a break, and get a Libre sensor, so glucose readings straight to your phone. If that routine needs to continue, please, reach out for your own sanity, and tips/tricks from others. Thursday evenings once a month meet with about a dozen diabetics across US and Canada to help share a bit of cheap therapy.
Check Polish band "Coma" which unfortunately no longer exists, but i'm pretty sure you will be stunned!

Dont worry about any extra copies, searching for things is half the fun! Though MUCC is definitely hard to find at a reasonable price.
@@PatrickMusilek Hi. I will check that Aku reaction for sure. I really love their early stuff, I would say up to Gokusai, which is their 7th album from 2006, that was my first album from them as I started to listen to MUCC around that time. So naturally I went back as there was nothing new at the time, that's maybe why I like older MUCC more, because I know it better. Funny thing that MUCC was my first japanese band, and now I know and listen to much more artists from there, but they're still my favourite. I would divide MUCC by three eras. Early, up to Gokusai 2006, that will be raw era, songs are most of the time only guitar, bass, drums and vocal. Houyoku (2005), 6 (2006) and Gokusai (2006) are more polished albums than earlier ones and have more guitar layers but not always. After that You got middle era with added more electronics, slowed down a bit and less heavier. That will be from Shion (2008) to The End of the World (2014). Shion and Kyuutai, they still have some sounds from early MUCC but Karma changed things around. And last one will be modern MUCC era, which You can still divide in two, but I would keep it as one as they are quite consistent in quality now at least. That one started with T.R.E.N.D.Y. -Paradise from 1997 (2015) a mini album which is great and Myakuhaku (2017). If You want to find something cheaper and used I recommend site www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/ . I even used it last week as I'm now trying to collect everything that MUCC released, and from time to time I'm hunting there for some oddities. It's a proxy service site that buying for You from auctions and stores in Japan. Last week I bought there MUCC's demo tape Shuuka (1999) (5800yen), 2 singles from last year that they sold only on venues in Japan (4 singles in total) (3000 and 3500yen), 2 versions of single Yakusoku (2010) (300 and 500yen), band score book for album 6 (888yen). They adding 300 yen on top of everything You buying, sometimes shipping in Japan as well. But they keep items for up to 45 days in their warehouse, so You can combine for one shipping which saves some money, still expensive to UK. But once I tried to find some albums from band Luna Sea and found whole discography, 13 albums for 3000yen (20 USD). You might find sometimes MUCC like that, it's not for me because I have most of their releases, but sometimes I still take bundles because there is one thing in it I need and is cheaper then to buy it separate. That's why I have some spares. Next hunt I will do probably in April/May so If I see some bargain I might get it for You and resend it for let's say review of one album, so it's not for free 😁. You might like to check their official site as well, there is really good discography page there 55-69.com/discography . You got the best MUCC reviews/reactions on UA-cam, it's a shame some of them don't have music, but I'll check them as well. Sorry for too long of a reply, but it's rare to see someone enjoying this band so much. BTW, I watched all Metallica reactions as well.... full, not on one go but still.
