Hello thanks for taking the time to make a simple video. I just bought this for the simple task of painting some metal patio furniture and a couple of wooden pieces of patio furniture for outside. My plan is to use latex and I'm going to follow your tip with an 80/20 mix.. you said you said your compressor to 50 psi, now can you explain what that fluid knob is
Not sure what’s meant by fluid knob but I played with paint flow and air flow to get a good mist. My compressor, I think, is 26 gallons and can deliver 3 cubic feet a minute. You do need a good airflow. I did have to stole after a five cabinet doors and let compressor catch up.
@@toddcriswell796 sorry about that I play the video a couple more times and I think I get it now as far as the knobs.. I believe one knob is for air and one knob is for the paint product but I thought I heard the word fluid. I'm just trying to figure out I guess latex paint would be the easiest to thin but can I use latex to paint metal patio furniture. If I cannot I guess I'm using an enamel and then I'm wondering if I can cut that with water or do I have to use some other chemical or by-product
I think oil based enamel is cut with mineral spirits. I plan to use oil based enamel to repaint a John Deere lawn mower with this gun thinned with mineral spirits.

@@toddcriswell796 appreciate that
Do we need a regulator to attach the air pump to it? Mine won’t snap on
@@jaeolguin1118 quick coupler set is how they are listed at harbor freight for $5. I’d buy a better quality coupler at Lowe’s or Home Depot for $10
I wonder if I can use this to paint random trim pieces from inside of my vehicle and how do I get the correct paint to use
I’m guessing a fabric and vinyl paint. Rustoleum and dupli-color makes it and already sold in a can.
